HI, I just finished to configure my new Mi11 . Al goes well but I have a problem with the gallery. I transfert my Whatapp folder from my old phone with tons of video and photo. Now, as usual, I verify I create a new file ".nomedia" in all folders to hide the photos and videos from gallery. But my new MI 11 ..... he doesn't want to know ! After a couple of hours and more then 10 attemps, In gallery I still see the whatsapp folders under "Album". What can I do to hide it ?
In my old phones I delete the Gallary App data and cache to rescan the full phone folders and than it found the .nomedia files and hide the file from the galley. But here with MI 11 I can delete the data from the app gallery, only the cache. How to manually make a multimedia rescan ?

I have an auto backup folder still lingering in my Gallery app even after deleting everything that was auto backed up in Google+ photo albums. Those images no longer exist. If I attempt to download those pictures from the phone it says failed to download as they aren't available. Why are they still showing up and how do I get rid of this from showing up in the Gallery app? Google+/Photos apps do not show these pics/album or when viewing at the pictures on the website. Any ideas?
Hi,
I took some panorama 360 photos last week and they were showing fine in the Gallery (the panorama icon was showing) and I was able to explore them with the gyroscope. But after moving them to another folder with a file explorer they are not shown as panorama pictures anymore (the icon is not showing and they appear ugly). I tried moving them again to their original folder but it still does not work.
I did some research and took new pictures and discovered that even renaming them prevents them from showing correctly in the Gallery. The only operations allowed that don't "break" them in Gallery are the ones provided directly by the Gallery application (copy or move to another album), any other operation performed with an external file explorer app breaks the gallery compatibility with these files.
I have uploaded the pictures to Google+ and they are displayed correctly, so they are fine and there is no corruption, so it seems to be a problem with the Gallery application.
Do you know how to fix this problem? I would like to be able to see the again in the phone, the gyroscope exploration is amazing :good:
Thank you very much in advance.
Any ideas about it?
Thanks
Gallery app shows many blank pictures, when i click details or edit the blank picture, gallery stopped working. I have deleted the .thumbnails folder , clear data and cache in gallery apps, but it didn't work. i have tried google photos apps, but it showed the same. What should i do?
btw, third party camera apps still not working.
So, i got my s6 128gb edge today..
I took a few pictures and added them to the pictures directory and also added them to DCIM.
when I pull up gallery i cant see anything!
things i've tried:
1) restarting the phone and clearing gallery cache
2) media scanning 3rd party apps from play store.
3) Taking a picture with the camera then trying to create an album. then dropping photos into the newly created album
4) Factory Resetting the phone.
This all happened after I applied a theme. (at least when I noticed it)
Is anyone else having an issue with this? I can't find one thread or post about this issue
I want to load my s5's pics to my edge's but it just WONT go.
Hi,
If I tap on a most recent picture in my Camera app it opens and let's me scroll pictures from WhatsApp images folder.
But not from Internal Storage/DCIM/Camera folder.
How could I change that?
Thanks!!!
PS: The only solution I've found - hide albums in Gallery app or use .nomedia file in those folders. But this is not a solution. I still want to access those albums but not in Camera app.
