Hi! I followed the official guide for Samsung Devices.
Installation
The Magic Mask for Android
topjohnwu.github.io
Here is the collection of photos I have to provide context: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1EzruHWAtZEmosrrr6tt9CQKpy9F-Kick?usp=sharing
Other context: I had installed LineageOS for my device following this guide (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/gta4xlwifi/install) previously and it worked without any issue
Okay, so. As seen in 1.png, I got to that step in the guide for Magisk. I loaded up the firmware files I had (my tablet is Wifi only so no CP firmware to load) plus the patched AP file (2.png). I hit start and it eventually returned on my pc "<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 1 / failed 0)" as seen in 3.png. However, on my tablet, it rebooted from what you see in 4.png to what you see in 5.png.
Out of fear of having messed it up, I haven't unplugged it from my pc, nor have I closed any tools or pages I have referred to. If you have any suggestions on where I've messed up or if I have messed up elsewhere, please let me know. I am a relative novice and did follow the guide as tightly as I could, so I cannot pinpoint where I messed up alone.
There's this guide in the Tab S6 Lite forums:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/howto-unlock-and-root-the-galaxy-tab-s6-lite.4132289/
It's slightly different to the official instructions, so maybe try that.
Over there you can probably also find info or get help on how to fix your current predicament with the vbmeta error.

Hi everyone,
I own a Motorola Moto G2 (XT1068, dual sim) that came used with Android 6.0 on it.
I installed TWRP (twrp-3.0.2-3-titan.img) on it but failed to root Android 6.0 as well as 5.0 for whatever not yet understood reason. I don't do Android development for a living but I'm an IT professional, so handling adb and fastboot as well as reading and understanding instructions isn't a problem.
I flashed stock Android 4.4.4 (RETDEALL_XT1068_4.4.4_KXB21.85-14) which I successfully rooted by installing SuperSU via TWRP.
Next I updated SuperSU, verified that root access is indeed working and installed FlashFire, which I hoped to use to install OS upgrades, possibly without losing root. FlashFire is new to me (as of yesterday), everything else mentioned up to here is not.
I used the "Flash ZIP or OTA" action from within FlashFire and the previously downloaded update file in the /cache directory. I can't reproduce the file name since the phone is currently unusable and I didn't write the file name down prior to using FlashFire.
The state of the phone after this unsuccessful attempt was that of a broken USB device, i.e. unable to even register as whatever type of USB device. I learned that this can be fixed by holding the power button down for more than one minute, after which I managed to
get the phone to be shown as working "RELINK HS-USB QDLoader 9008" USB serial device in Windows 7 device manager.
I used the information in these two threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/how-to-unbrick-moto-g-falcon-t3394788
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/how-to-revive-hard-bricked-moto-g-t2833798
Since I started with Android 4.4.4 trying to upgrade to 5.0, I had hoped that the blank flash package for one of these Android versions would help fix my problem, but as of now, this doesn't seem to be the case. At the end of the blank flashing process, I get the message
FAILED <blank-flash:sdl-transfer-image:sdl-hello: error sending packet>
After that, the phone still has a black screen and cannot boot into anything. Repeating blank flash works after resetting whatever part of it is still working by holding the power button down for about 30+ seconds.
Is there anything obvious (or maybe even not so obvious) that I missed?
Thanks for reading and any help and/or pointers in the right direction.

Did you solved the problem of hard brick of Moto G 2014?
Hi guys I'm trying to flash Jovi's Custom Rom. I accidentally pressed the update button on my phone that allows the Latest update from t-moble to kill the phone so It wont charge. Luckily I have quite a but of battery power left and I'm franticly trying to flash a jovi's custom rom. currently I'm getting a "Failed" message when trying to flash on ODEN 3.12 here are the directions I followed to the letter but no success.
First Thing Your Going To Do Is Download Both graceqltetmo_N930TUVU1APGC_Stock_Deodexed.zip And N930T_Note7_Adb_Rootkit_And_Odin_Pack.zip Files From The Download Link Section Below.
2. Extract All The Files From N930T_Note7_Adb_Rootkit_And_Odin_Pack.zip Onto Your PC Desktop, You Will Then Have Eight Files On Your Desktop Which Will Be MODIFIED_TMO_SPR_N930PVPU1APH3_REV00_ENGBOOT_FIRMW ARE.tar.md5, graceqltetmo_N930TUVU1APGC_Stock_Deodexed.img, SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.45.0.exe , adb-setup-1.4.3.exe, CommandPrompt.bat, Odin3.exe, Odin3.ini, And sun7.
3. If You Haven't Setup ADB On Your PC Yet Or Installed The Samsung USB Drivers, Just Open Both Executables SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.45.0.exe And adb-setup-1.4.3.exe And Complete Both The Setup Processes. Once Done You Should Now Have A Created ADB Directory Which Should Be Located At C:\adb. Once ADB Is Setup, Place The sun7 Folder And CommandPrompt.bat Inside Your ADB Folder From The New Directory.
4. Now Put Your Phone Into Download Mode By Powering Off Your Device First And Then Hold The "Volume Down+Home+Power Buttons" At The Same Time Until You See The Download Mode Warning Screen. Now Press The "Volume Up Button" And Then Insert Your Samsung USB Plug.
5. Now Open Odin3.exe, Click On "AP", Select "MODIFIED_TMO_SPR_N930PVPU1APH3_REV00_ENGBOOT_ FIRM WARE.tar.md5", And Then Click On "Start". Wait For A Couple Of Minutes For The Modified N930PVPU1APH3 Engboot Firmware To Finish Installing. After this step it says failed so this is where I'm suck currently at the bootloader. thanks guys for your help

It still works its just stuck at the boot loader. I think when I attempted to flash the stock rom back on the phone It wiped everything. Honestly I'm not trying to root I'm just trying to install the stock rom
You should be able to download it in Sammobile, they usually have every firmware available for Samsung phones. Then you would want to checkout the N7A their accepting beta testers for v2 of the app. Maybe check with them before to see how you should proceed on reinstalling the initial firmware to avoid the update again.

No problem I've been using package disabler pro & N7A's shield for a while now and haven't had any issues. Plus N7A is a really great community especially when other forums don't provide much assistance. I think about 80% off the people still using the Note 7 have either joined N7A or the N7 Rebels (I've heard they charge for their app & assistance but haven't verified myself). ?

Ok cool I just signed in to N7A site. It looks really informative. I downloaded the firmware from sam mobile as you suggested also I have about 10 more minuits before its done downloading. ill keep you posted.
Ok I'd check the help and tutorials section for re-flashing firmware after an update, cause I'm not sure how you would avoid getting the update again unless you have a some sort of shield or package disabling app in place.

I have a Note 5 as a backup and even that feels like a major downgrade I can't imagine what a Note 3 would be like.

Hey just giving you an update. Phone still stuck at boot loader but I have watched the lady known as catwoman video on youtube. I have downloaded and unzipped all the files and even tried to flash without success. Oden keeps giving me a fail. The only problem is with the smart switch application she recommended for download. I downloaded it and ran the app like suggested. It said that the my device is unsupported by smart switch. I cam to the conclusion that this is the way I should have started vs wiping everything which is the reason I'm stuck at the boot loader because there is no data on my phone. Here are the steps I took to get past this problem.
1. Reinstalled Smart Switch, but after the re- install no success.
2. I reopened Smart Switch and clicked the tab that says "MORE" then on Emergency Software & instillation. I followed the steps which included imputing my device model number and S/N. Did that but my device is still reading as a unsupported device on smart switch. I'm in progress of contacting her to see if she or any of her team as any ideas. Hopefully I'm back up and running soon. I cant wait for the note 8 so I can be done with this

I don't have this device but, the following threads should be of assistance regarding XPosed for your device.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3701895
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3666155
You had posted this issue within the XPosed area of the forum that, initially, tells me that your seeking assistance with XPosed.
Your statement began with an XPosed issue and then you ended up with asking for assistance with recovering your device itself.
I'm not turning you away or lecturing you. I'm only pointing out something.
Your ultimately asking for assistance with recovering your device and really should be posted within the dedicated area of the forum that's specific to your device.

Here's a variety/various list of helpful threads that, i believe, one or more will be helpful with recovering your device. Don't be afraid to ask for member guidance on those threads either.

Hello all I am looking for some assistance. I attempted to root my Kindle Fire HD 6 4th Gen according to this tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-hd/general/2017-root-kindle-fire-hd-6-4th-gen-t3677600
I followed all of the steps and did not have any issues until the very end. The only step that was slightly modified was Step 15. Here I changed the extension as it says, but also changed the file name (I shortened it). I continued to follow all of the remaining steps and upon rebooting (step 20), the device does not turn back on. I am left with a black screen and no signs of life. I have tried booting with various button combinations, but no luck.
I have also tried to recover the device with a pre-made live linux iso (I cant find the link). Through the python script provided with the bootable linux iso, I was able to extablish a serial connection to the device, but the python script then hangs and the device remains with a black screen.
This is not me first time rooting a device, I have had great luck with various phones for years. However, it is looking like this tablet may be bricked.
Can anyone provide advice/guidance on alternative methods of recovery? I have read about a fastboot cable and saw some mention of an OTG cable...
Thanks you for help/advice in advance

Hey all- after noticing my Netflix wouldn't work despite being a WW plastered phone, I discovered that my phone was actually a flashed CN version. I noticed that I can't receive updates- security or otherwise, which was a big motivating factor for me to try and fix it.
Eventually, I posted on Reddit because I was fed up
My build is (was) - WW_16.0650.1908.12_0
One dude sent me to this video- and since I have dealt with rooting before on my Nexus 4 I decided to try it out.
"
ASUS ROG 2 FULLY CONVERTED GLOBAL ROM WITH WORKING THEMES AND UPDATES"
I can't post links because my account is currently too new.
I followed the guide exactly, but when I got to the part where it said to use ADB, my attempt to boot the rootww190812.img failed- someone said to try on B instead, that also failed. It said it "failed to load/authenticate boot image.
From now it has been bootlooping into the Qualcomm
"qualcomm crash dump mode"
"waiting for flashing ramdump"
And I can not boot the device. I can still reach Fastboot, but that is all.
How can I fix my phone- preferably including continuing the boot process but at this point i'd be happy just to have a working phone again.
Edit: I have found factory reset- but i'm not sure if I should do it, or if I risk simply undoing and having to re-do the initial global reflash.
Edit 2: factory reset says WW_I001D and says it will go back to 1908.12. it should be safe I assume-
Edit 3: changing back to A allowed it to boot without factory reset- but it still won't root, build is now WW_16.0640.1908.12_0
