I bought a store demo model watch and tried to take off the Demo mode. I think I messed it up and now it's in "Odin Mode". Is the only way to fix this with a physical connection or can I somehow use wifi again? Also if the only way to fix it is with a hard USB, can I get advice on how to do that? Thank you!

I have a rooted GT 7510 WiFi only that had the generic rom. After installing an app that was supposed to change the transition affect when moving from one screen to another (don't remember the name of the program) my tab was stuck in what I have read is called a boot-loop, it would get about 1 second into the Samsung splash screen and reboot again.
I read around online and found someone posted a fix for the problem. I went into download mode and loaded the .md5 file that was supposed to fix it....fail.... and it actually made it worse. Now i cant get into clockwork mode and Kies wont connect, only download mode. I can still connect thru Odin but that is as far as I can go. the tab now shows the "firmware upgrade encountered and issue....." screen unless I boot to download mode. Turns out the person on that forum linked in a file for phone rather than tab.......
Unlike many, I actually use my tab for work. Its so much easier than carrying around my laptop and can do everything I need it to.
Here is what makes me different than others who are posting here. Im willing to pay to get mine fixed. I cant go to a store or a service center to get repairs...I live in a country where there is no service center and flying back to the states to get it repaired is not an option.
In looking around online I have found other places that service them for about 50 bucks. If you can get it to work, Ill send funds thru paypal. Sorry but I wont use anyone else. I know many will be skeptical of such an offer, and I wish there was something I could do to prove that I'm for real. I just don't have the time and I need someone who knows what they are doing to help me out. I have the money but not the time it would take to get it fixed through regular means. I can use remote PC software like teamviewer or the like and you can take control of my laptop or Ill even call you....anywhere on the planet.... if you can fix this for me.....I'm that desperate.
Only real pros here please. In a noob for Andriod but please don't waist my time with things you "think might work"
thanks
I think you have the wrong forum. GT7510 != P1010 (WiFi only 7" Galaxy Tab).
HOWEVER. Your tab has a glimmer of hope left in it. If you can still get into download mode, and Odin can say hello to it, then it can be restored from the brick graveyard. Chances are, her soul is there, you just gotta kick Odin to rescue her soul and stick it back in her body (which is the Tab, of course!).
But! I'm a nice 'cube (hence my username ) and found you something that may bring your beloved tab back to life. Your mileage may vary, but I hope you all the best.
Hi All,
I have samsung tab s2 sm-t719y with broken screen and lcd. I just want to extract some important data out of it. Tried several data recovery software but usb debugging is not turned on. I tried this adapter (below) but it does not work with the Tab S2. I am helping my sis-in-law and all her biz contacts and project info is inside the tablet.
When I connect a usb otg and used a mouse and slide the mouse when holding the left button of mouse, I hear an 'unlocking' sound and I am able to adjust the volume by using the volume adjust button. So I am certain that the tablet is working. I have briefly searched for solutions in this forum but to no avail. Please help, thanks for reading this post.

I wasn't able to use Kies nor Smart Switch unfortunately. Kies immediately directed me to Smart Switch due to newer models of the Tab S2 model. Regardless, I entered the model name or model number (Galaxy Tab S2 or SM-T719Y or SM-T719) both software keeps asking me to check model number and enter it in the box. I followed the guide but unfortunately the software spat back saying USB data transfer is not allowed on the device so the software couldn't connect successfully to the tablet. **sigh** I appreciate the suggestion though. Im hoping someone could suggest another possible solution.
Thanks

You could try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786395
or use TWRP to recover the data. Look at the screenshots on the page to guess where you need to touch. You can then use MTP or ADB to backup the data.

I just bought a Samsung G3 which was a store demo, the phone boots and works OK, but I'm fearing I might not be getting the full potential the phone has to offer and I also hate seeing "Retail Mode " in the menu. I was wondering if I could flash the unit from SM-R840X to the latest firmware for R840, this unit is not LTE, just BT
Thanks in advance
Regards
No risk no fun...
Try first Combination Firmware from SM-R840...
Then in second step Stock Firmware from SM-R840...
If out of luck...
You need USB cable... if your project fail...
Good Luck.
Best Regards
Are you referring these files?
Thanks for the help
I've flashed all the files, my 840 BT was XAR now is ITV. No update from BTG6 despite all around the world they are 2 or 3 different updates after that. Anyone with the R840XXU1BTK1 or more? I don't want to pay easyfirmware cause I have the hardware, I have the firmware, I assume is ridiculous to pay for an update Samsung should delivery to all of us.
So I'm trying to connect to ODIN3 without success, using running Win10, firewall /antivirus etc disabled, , ODIN3 launched as Admin, watch developer mode ON, debug mode ON, set watch to connect wireless, and I get CONNECTION FAIL: CONNECTION TIMED OUT (110) anyone care to guess what I'm doing wrong
Thank you
Have u set it up as WiFi Always in the Tizen connections menu ?
Does anyone have the firmware for this?
I do have a connection via NetOdin3!
Looking for help please, I downloaded firmware "R810XXU1ASA1" hoping it would cure a no boot problem. The firmware went on ok but now I have lots of overlaid green and magenta text. At first I could write the firmware multiple times but now for some strange reason I cannot establish a wireless AP connection and the watch reports "Connection fail" in red repeatedly even though it does connect to my PC. I've since learned that the firmware I used was a repair firmware, which is probably why all these hardware settings are overlaid for troubleshooting.
So some question if anyone can help please...
1. Where do i get the actual firmware needed for a UK SM-R810?
2. How can i restore so that the hardware details no longer show?
3. Does anyone know what the NetOdin options each do when flashing the firmware?
4. The original fault was that the watch would show charging to 68% and then go blank, charger would flash, all boot menu options explored without success, anyone go a fix (I assumed corrupt firmware but seem to have got into further trouble in not flashing the NON repair firmware.
Battery is now 100% after charging when in the wireless download mode, oddly in this mode the watch stays on and charges fully no flashing light.
Stumped as to why the watch, even in this repair mode, worked wirelessly and now no longer does.

How right you are, all this time though this was gw3, anyway here are the images... i've blanked out the IP. Ideally i'd rather not have to solder a USB connection. If anyone can share the UK r810 official firmware please?
So from what I have been able to figure out i have a live demo unit so it won't connect to my phone because basically it has no firmware or software on it. So can anyone help me with a legitimate working fix for this and how to do this please
