Hi Bro and Sis, is there any way we could convert Global Rom to China ? and is there any bad circumstances doing such thing ?
Don't know what you meant by the word "convert".
If you want to use china rom then unlock bootloader & flash china fastboot rom.
Google services may not run properly in china rom.
Why not just buy a Chinese based version of the redmi 9?
and save some pain ( unlocking / flashing / troubles )
There can be found for 100 bucks...cheap as chips, i call it

Hello,
I want to buy a mi8 lite china version and flash it to global .
I know in china version all the Frequency are not working in France , if it flash it to global version all 4G frequency will work ??
And if i flash to globale , play store is installed ??
Cordially.
It doesn't matter if you flash global.
Hardware is different.
You need to buy global version it has all Europe frequencies, not China with Global ROM.
Thanks . But Ok Sh** because it's for my Girls Friend ,i want
Gold/mini color ans it's notre available in global version, non ?
Well at the moment, there is only black in global (with band 20) and other colors are out of stock.
Even blue is hard to find.
Either you wait or order black one with fancy girly case.
Hi ! I have a noob question
They had three models of mi 8 the 64/128 & 256Go storage and two various models Global Version & a Chinese Version.
But really they had only one version per models of mi 8 but different Firmware of mi 8 ? Exemple for the 64Go model storage this is the same hardware of mi 8 and only the firmware change ? Chinese version or Global version ?
Thank you

Ok thanks for response.
But I see with link if you use Global phone you can't use miui china version ?
If I unlock my BL and flash Custom Rom Xiaimi.eu based on China miui version Rom !
They had mistake if I make Ota update of Xiaomi.eu Rom ? No risk lock it and brick it ?
Ps : Yes I understand just don't flash the chinese stable or dev Rom and vise versa !!! With Custom Rom no mistake just if you use miflash don't lock.
Thanks.
You can have every custom rom you want.. for example xiaomieu,it doesnt mean something what kind of source it is. You can use xiaomieu based on china rom with your global version smartphone!
Btw xiaomieu doesnt have ota updates you need to flash manually from twrp every time.
I have relatives in China who want to buy me a Xiaomi Mi 9. I live in Canada and I want to flash global rom and use it like a global phone. How can I flash over to the Global rom from the chinese version and will Google pay and widevine work?

Hi all,
So I'm about to buy this phone and really hyped to start flashing.but some of things I am not at all sure of .so my questions are:
1.only the China version is available in my country right now,can I flash xaomi eu or the global rom in this varient?
2.is the China version is going to be the main varient for ROMs/kernels/mods?
3.what kind of Dev support can I expect? Im currently using the redmi note 4 pro (mido).can I expect ROMs plentiful as mido?
If u can answer,it would be really helpful.custom ROM support are what I look for buying a phone.so it's big deal for me.
Thanks ?
1. Yes you can flash eu rom, global not available yet, need to unlock bootloader.
2. Probably there will be both variant support as they use same hardware.
3.when global variant comes out there should plenty roms

As title says ,
i have Mi11 China version and it supports CDMA on GSMARENA.com , and i want to flash other roms Global or EU still not sure ,
but flashing others roms will effect my phone on SIM side ? i really need CDMA band for my home country . and on GSMARENA.com only China Version have it .
Could anyone please elaborate .
China version has diffrend bands that eu version (for example no 5G on PlusGSM in Poland on china version).
It isnt rom dependent, it depend on phone version - not the same is china and global
