I am between the OnePlus 9 Pro (Global Version) and the Mi 11 Ultra (China Version). Do you guys think I should buy the Mi11? Is it worth the hassle? It also seems that even in this forum, the Mi 11 isn't that famous so it will be difficult to find a good ROM etc.
I used both, go for Mi 11 Ultra (China Version) much better in everything.
Hardware I'd rather the mi 11 ultra
Software id rather the op9 pro
Would be great to get the best of both worlds

I have to buy a new phone and have to choose between the Mi 9 of the Mi 9t pro. I prefer the 9t pro but red that they have stopped producing it, my question is: wil the mi 9t pro receive updates as long as the mi 9 or not ?
Hello there.
I've used Mi 9 before and currently I am using Mi 9T Pro as my secondary phone (My main is S20 Ultra). I strongly suggest you buy Mi 9T Pro for the sake of convenience. I've had better(great!) battery life, notch-less screen, good audio DAC through the headphone jack, and the camera is pretty much the same as on Mi 9. Other than that Mi 9T Pro is missing the wireless charging though I bet you don't care much about it.

Actually, I think both are out of production.
Remember that Mi9 T Pro has been presented 6 months later Mi9, so Mi9 is the older one.
I have a Mi9, it's a good device, snapdragon 855 is super fast and every app work fine.
If I should buy a device today, I would go with the Mi9 T Pro, here are the main big advantages:
Newer
Bigger battery (4000 vs 3300)
Popup camera (Mi9 has a notch on the screen)
And about updates yes, quite similar.
Both are on MIUI 11 and will receive MIUI 12 in the next months. So, no difference.

And , better battery life too
none of them, go for the Mi 9 Pro 5G if you can find it...have many pro's over Mi9 and even more than Mi9T Pro.
Mi9 Pro 5G is a Mi9 with bigger battery and 5G, with the same wireless charging and IR blaster and AMOLED like Mi9, is a improved Mi9, if i know today i go for Mi9 PRo 5G and not Mi9 only because battery is gettin short, like 5/6h SoT after 9 months.
Hi.
I had Mi 9t pro and I switch to Mi 9.
Reasons Mi 9 has wireless charging, better set of camera. Wide camera has autofous. Very rare feature, awesome for macro photos. Better telephoto camera.
Worst battery, missing jack 3.5 (I do not care).
But because of smaller battery it has lower weight. 9TPro is little bit heavy.
Pop up camera on Mi 9t pro is good for uninterrupted display, but it is not so good for face recognition.
I do care for cameras and I really like wireless charging. So for me Mi 9 is better chooice
You can go for Mi 9 Pro instead. It's essentially Mi 9 with SD855+ and 700mAh bigger battery, the rest of the specs are similar if not the same.
The Mi 9T has a larger developer community.
I unlock using face detection, with mi9t pro that feature would be too slow/not practical
Hi, I decided to buy this amazing phone but somehow I am not able to find it in stocks in the EU. Did Xiaomi stopped its production or export to the EU? What would be the alternative? Xiaomi Mi 10 is more than twice expensive :/

So i've been with x3 pro for a few months, overall great phone, good quality, but i've been missing some root on the phone and mi 11 was my first choice but went to oppo because mi 11 was out of stock, but now i receipt a proposal to trade x3 pro for mi 11, what you guys think, i've seen some benches, i think i can get good with mi 11, but need some outside opinion
i sold my x2 pro for the mi11. x2 pro had no root and too many software bugs. haven't looked back.

On the paper, X3 Pro is more Premium, more interesting (more RAM & Storage) and it was more expensive, we can compare more X3 Pro at a Mi 11 Ultra than a Mi 11.
BUT... in fact, X3 Finf is boring with ColorOS and absolutely no Root / Dev.
Mi 11 purpose MIUI Custom (Xiaomi.eu / MiuiMix / OneOS) and AOSP roms arrive (from LineageOS source/trees), so my advise is simple, if you want retrieve Root and are a AOPS addict, move on Mi 11.
Becareful, battery life is bad on MI 11, it has the worst battery life compared to others 888 powered smartphones

Having x3 pro does feel good, with a premium quality like you said, but the low customization regarding root and other stuff, is a key feature missing, i personally yould like it to have more development, because sometines i miss having some rooted stuff i had back at my mi 8, i would get an mi 11 ultra, but where i live its not yet available or dont send it here

My battery lasts all day honestly, if with heavy SOT, leaving at 8.30 am with 100% it went down to 20% at 23pm, and farily i used it a lot

get around 6 SOT which I dont consider bad
I assume some of you have upgraded from Mi 11/Mi 11 Pro/Mi 11 Ultra to 12 Pro. Do you feel any added value with 12 Pro over the Mi 11-series?
@thegios
yes, I have switched from Mi11T Pro to Xiaomi12 Pro. The Display is much better and it feels like my old S21 Ultra

Great! Thanks for you reply. At the moment I have Mi 11 Pro which is different from 11T Pro.
Any user of the standard Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro or Mi 11 Ultra who have tried 12 Pro?
I usually try out many different devices each year just for fun but if 12 Pro feels very similar to 11 Pro I may skip that one.

I have MI 11 and I bought 12 PRO. Except for the screen and processor (?), Mi 11 remains better than 12 Pro unfortunately,
12 PRO consumes battery faster and heats up quickly on games or GPS compared to MI11.
12 PRO I don't think it's worth the money

Sounds terrible. Mi 11 does not have impressive battery life, if 12 Pro is worse it must be really bad...
Better buy Mi 11
My Mi 11 just self-bricked due to MIUI 13. Not even shortening the testpoints was enough to save it. I just bought a Mi 12 Pro. My other option was a Pixel 6, but I hate the pixel series since my 3XL.
But for your own good, stay away from the Mi 11 series, mainly if you use the official ROMs. The self-bricking thing is really common, and well, it costed me 600$.

I have to disagree with that. I have read this many times before buying the Mi 12 Pro and was on the verge of not buying it because of that reason.
in my experience, the battery significantely lasts longer on the Mi 12 Pro.
it still could be better, but it is ok thanks to the 120w charging.
when I had about 3hrs SOT on my Mi 11 (had two devices, both had the same battery life), I have about 4hrs SOT on Mi12Pro. pretty much with the same settings, apps and usage.
but I also have to say that most of the phones I had, did not last over 4,5-5hrs SOT except of my old Mi Max 2

sadly the same happened for me. I just replaced the camera module after the autofocus was not working after it fell on the ground, about 5 days later it died. I normally used it (scrolled trough instagram) and then it hung up.
I did a reset via buttons and it never did anything after that. just gets warm when charging.
I didnt knew that this is a common thing. I now replaced the mainboard with one from a used mi11 with cracked screen. there are no solutions to fix/reflash the old board, huh?
I have a 11T Pro and also just got a 12 Pro.
The differences are minimal. Screen on 12 Pro is alot better and curved. It certainly has that galaxy feeling. The screen is more responsive and fingerprint touch helps with waking the phone up.
For everything else they are the same.
11T Pro has a bigger and better longer lasting battery. The performance of 11T pro is insane and in my opinion very on par to 12 pro.
I only choose 12 pro ( my other choice was OnePlus 10 Pro) because of the poor screen response on the 11T pro and a weak Virtual proximity sensor. If it wasn't for that I'd keep the 11T. It's the cheapest flagship phone on the market by far. Literally half the price of 12 pro
