Greetings everyone ,
So apparently from the title Xiaomi Devices has stopped working in Syria starting this week ,
the devices suddenly got "locked" with a message declaring "this device is locked , Xiaomi policy doesn't allow this product in your country"
with only an option to connect to Wi-fi network ,
the devices that were reported were both India and International versions
any official announcement from Xiaomi regarding their new policy ?
also any chance to make these devices work again ? this issue will affect hundred thousands of people I will appreciate if someone can provide a solution
Thanks !

I've not only moved your thread into the Q&A section but also removed the links to Telegram.
As an exemption from the last bullet of rule no. 5 of the XDA Forum Rules, we grant only developers the privilege to share references to their social media in their own development threads. These conditions obviously don't apply to this thread or to you. For this reason the reference to Telegram has been removed from your thread. Please refrain from sharing of social media in future. Thanks for your cooperation!

You are a bad mod if i am being honest with you
1. You are using incorrect reasons in your mod message
2. Rule 5 is "Create a thread topic or post a message only once, this includes external links & streaming media." last bullet point is
Self-promotion is forbidden, this includes blogs, social media and video channels etc. Random links will be removed
Which does not apply to me since i am sharing news, in the news channel, its not owned or affilited with me, i am not promoting it, i am only sharing a rom which people have done without any issues before. THERE IS NOTHING ABOUT GRANTING THE "PRIVILAGE" TO DEVELOPERS IN THE RULES
3. Yes IMEI changing is illegal IF ITS NOT YOUR IMEI

Mam, Sir!
I appreciate that you help me to correctly read the rules of this private website. And it's correct, you initially posted the thread in the Guides, News, & Discussion section. That section contains two stuck threads that are actually meant to be read and acknowledge prior to any posting. One of them deals with Telegram:
WhatsApp / Telegram Chat Channels - Way Forward
Please read the content by clicking on the following link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/3769646/
forum.xda-developers.com
and it directs to nothing else then that we only accept Telegram links by a developer in his own development thread:
WhatsApp / Telegram Chat Channels - Way Forward
Why was your Telegram/WhatsApp group/channel thread closed? Well, it's just becoming too much. Going forward, we will only allow only one Telegram/WhatsApp link in a development thread by the ROM developer provided thorough support is still...
forum.xda-developers.com
And it doesn't matter if you own or are affiliated with a Telegram channel or not. If the developer teams of the two OS you've mentioned decided for whatever reasons not to publish their work on XDA, why should we allow XDA to be a platform to promote their social media?
And as a user who just joined XDA today - and I hope you'll always receive here the support and assistance that you require or even better publish your own development here, you probably don't know yet that Telegram is not accepted on XDA as a filehost because a download of a ROM would require a registration on Telegram.
Last but not least: I've not had the impression that you shared news but raised a question: "Both have android 12, has anyone tried these?"

I don't know how long you monitored XDA as a guest before you decided to register this account today. If you're a long-time guest you've certainly realised that we allow support for the restoration or call it repair of the original IMEI of a device. By the way, it's not your IMEI it's the one of the specific device.
And this is what you've stated in the thread that I've closed:
I could maybe use my imei from my other phone which is redmi note 9?

Your question is a clear indication to start a discussion not about repair/restoration of the original IMEI of the device but to seek guidance about how to replace the IMEI of one device with the IMEI of another device.
I hope I was able to shed some light on your concerns.

I am sorry for being mad at you in my first post, for me the first emotion i feel to anything is anger, i am aware thats a bad way to live and i am working on it, i am aware that doesnt excuse my actions and i really am sorry. About the IMEI change, i have asked if there was a way to repair IMEI, and if there wasnt if i could change it to mine, i am now aware that is wrong and i shouldnt have done. I have nothing else to say for my other post as you are completely right about them. Once again i am sorry for being rude to you and being a nuisance. You are a good mod and i shouldnt have said that you arent based off of one post

@PixoAl
Edit or change of IMEI is illegal in quite a few of countries. For this reason, I've closed and edited your thread! XDA doesn't allow and doesn't accept discussions about or support for such an edit or change.

Hello, I bought a batch of phones in which a redmi note 9 came with a pattern and a google account. I have withdrawn the accounts and the pattern but it turns out that the imei it has is blocked for non-payment and does not recognize the chip that I entered.
Is there any way to change the imei or solve this issue and get the cell phone to pick up a signal again.
Stay tuned to your comments. Greetings.

Hi team,
I've an issue with my device Samsung N950FD (Galaxy note 8). After inserting a SIM card, i got a message of Network Lock "SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK". The mobile works fine with Swedish and french SIM card but actually i'm in Algeria and it's not working. I've installed the correct Firmware CSC TMC algeria (N950FXXUGDVG5_N950FOXMGDUGA_TMC).
Any help please ?
Lina
the best way is to contact your carrier operator or customer care.
btw default PUKs are 1234, 0000, 12345, 00000, etc. but it'll only give you 3 chances to unlock (as happened with me) and then lock it completely.
It's not a SIM lock or SIM PUK. It'a a Network Lock (SIMLOCKED). Unfortunately, i'm actually in Algeria for work (1 month). also, I cannot contact Swedish operator since im using the phone in france
Lina
what's the phone brand and model...?
Samsung N950FD (Galaxy note 8)
Is this your ISSUE?
or you can try this...
{Mod edit: Link removed. Oswald Boelcke, Senior Moderator}

What is wrong with showing someone how to get the results they are looking for whether paid or free? This is XDAs problem. You guys don't want any competition or anyone really helping anyone without being involved with the help process. You are your own worst enemy XDA, and this is why people are leaving this site and never looking back.
