This is for the Snapdragon S21. I flashed my Verizon one to the U1 firmware pre-beta. I was able to get into the beta by popping out my Sim, logging out of Samsung Members/All Samsung. Then rebooting in airplane mode. Then logging into the members app with a different Samsung account(not sure if that matters), then in benefits at the bottom, I could register. Upon registering, it said my sim didn't match my phone, I popped my sim in and then it said I was registered after clicking it again. Grabbed the OTA URL with canaray per @KokosTech 's instructions.
Instructions below are taken from the S21 Ultra thread by @KokosTech
S21 Snapdragon OTA URL: http://fota-secure-dn.ospserver.net:80/firmware/VZW/SM-G991U1/nspx/6556537300b7401998e7cecc78bbdf58.bin?px-time=61907a56&px-hash=a05de87504b0032df4c4262041550167&px-wid=5820367-WSA210915025413&px-wctime=2021-09-15%2002:54:13&px-unum=&px-nb=UGtezEZ854jbmFcvWGxLEA==
How To:
Rename [name].bin to [name].zip and paste it into the adb folder
Enable USB Debugging from the Developer Options
Reboot your phone
adb start-server
Trust the computer on your phone
adb reboot recovery
With vol-up and vol-down go to ADB Update and press the Side/Power button
adb sideload update.zip
Thanks @KokosTech ! Once I got the banner for it, I knew I had to grab this URL for everyone else that is needing it.
I also have the bin/update.zip file saved as well if needed to be shared out that way.
I'm still looking for the exynos version, can't wait to test it.
I have Verizon as a carrier but an unlocked s21. I was able to download from Sam Members app. Unfortunately I'm not skilled enough to capture the file to share.
So far the changes I noticed are suttle. But the animations seem really fast.
What should the file size be?
Huge thanks @maamdroid -- kind of you to take the time to capture.
Flashed as expected.
Thank youuuu so much

OXM CSC so non carrier specific users should be fine.
Installation:
Step 1
Download Odin 3.13.1. Older versions won't work.
Step 2
Download and unzip the provided firmware. You should have 5 files in the folder
Step 3
Open Odin, and browse the files to their respective places. CSC: If you want to keep your data, select the HOME_CSC file, if you want a fresh installation, go with the regular CSC
Step 4
Power off your phone, then hold Volume Down + Bixby + Power. Once you see the warning screen, you can let go. Press Volume Up to enter download mode.
Step 5
Connect your phone to the PC and press Start in Odin. Once its finished, it'll automatically restart the phone.
Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing community here, starting from the ever so patient moderators, up to the brave people who let me experiment on their machines to get the OTA links during this beta program (both S9, S9+ and even Note 9). A very special thanks goes out of course to the great @Wishmasterflo who was the first one to let me mess around with multiple computers he owns until we got it just right and established a certain solution to give you guys all the updates almost instantly. Kudos to him, and to all you who in the course of the last few months came here to help out other people!
We may convert this thread to a general S9 Pie discussion if it's okay with the mods, now that the beta is over.
Thank you all, and enjoy the great update Samsung blessed us with this Christmas!

Instructions:
SD card method
Download the necessary update.zip(s) for your device according to your current software version.
Step 1
Copy the update.zip file to your SD card.
Step 2
Reboot the device into Recovery mode. (Turn off the phone, then Vol Up + Bixby + Power button)
Step 3
Go to apply update from SD card.
Step 4
Install the update, and be patient.
Many people have reported that on ZRKA, they're unable to apply new updates from SD because of SD card mounting errors.
First try formatting your card on your phone, and try again. If that fails, use adb sideloading.
Edit: The most effective way I came across for this issue is to actually use a PC (or a phone utility) to format the SD Card with FAT32, then try the update.
ADB Sideloading
Download the necessary update.zip(s) for your device according to your current software version.
Step 1
Download the latest ADB ZIP file (Windows), then extract it to C:\adb
Step 2
Download and install adb drivers.
Step 3
Copy the update.zip file to C:\adb (or wherever your adb.exe file is)
Step 4
Put your phone in recovery mode and select Apply update from ADB, then connect it to your PC
Step 5
Wait until your PC installs the drivers, if you're doing this for the first time.
Step 6
Open command prompt, navigate to C:\adb (or wherever your adb.exe and update.zip is)
Step 7
Issue the following command: adb devices
If you can see a device in 'sideload' mode, you can proceed to step 8, otherwise you may have some troubleshooting to do.
Step 8
Issue the following command: adb sideload update.zip
Step 9
Be patient, and enjoy your update.
NOTE: You can't go directly from BRJ6 to the latest update, you have to start with ZRKA and apply them one by one.
IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO PERFORM A FACTORY RESET IF YOU'RE UPDATING FROM BRJ6 (Basically after a main system version upgrade). Otherwise its not necessary, but for
the most optimal performance and battery life, it is advised.

I write with the chat from Samsung and they only write that they have no informations :highfive:
The beta came to me a few minutes ago and is installing now. Funny I didn't sign up for it until about an hour ago This is on the US Snapdragon.
Can someone try installing the latest version of Samsung members and giving it a go?

You still won't be able to do OTA, because Knox is tripped. But you could flash it, when it becomes available to download.

If you unroot and flash stock FW by odin then you will receive OTA again.
Hey guys, just wanted to drop a quick and dirty guide on how to get the beta working on your locked AT&T device. I am by no means a developer or an expert, but I've been flashing ROMs and modding my devices for close to 8 years. I take no responsibility if you brick your device or cannot get it to work, feel free to research yourself or wait until the beta ends and Samsung releases Android 9/One UI next year.
Okay, so the first thing I had to do was install the U1 firmware. I used this thread for most of the steps.
The links to the modded version of Odin in the 2nd post of that thread were dead, so I downloaded it from this post.
I downloaded the 3ARJ2 U1 firmware here.
Following the directions in that U1 thread, I unzipped the firmware file and flashed it in Odin. Elsewhere in the thread, it was recommended to choose the CSC file that starts with "CSC_OMC_OYM..." instead of the "HOME_CSC" file.
After it boots up, you may be able to join the beta using the Samsung+ app, I'd recommend downloading this beta version.
For whatever reason, the beta registration banner showed up for me but pressing the register button never did anything. I found many reports of that problem and tried everything for about two hours to make it work before moving on and downloading the OTA beta file below and installing it through recovery.
I downloaded the OTA file for the U1 firmware from this post.
ARJ2 to ZRK9 (Beta 1)
Download link:
https://mega.nz/#!sjRnHK4S!o2sJ49Stk2GzUFhFXX1Hed8hSOsAVkfaBPVRWY989QM
After installing the beta zip, I performed a factory reset, just in case.
Now I'm happily using the beta on my locked AT&T s9. I did see an option for VoLTE, but I had to disable it due to being on a FirstNet SIM, so I can't speak to how well that feature works. I haven't had much time to play around with the beta yet, because I wanted to get this posted up before I went to work. Hope this helps someone else! Thanks to all who helped me in the various threads, I really appreciate the XDA community!
P.S. This does not trip Knox.
Thank you I'll give it a shot
You're on a FirstNet sim too huh? Me as well. Gonna give this a shot.
I'll be curious how your reception is on the beta. Mine doesn't seem as good as before. I checked the APN settings, and it's still showing that it's using FirstNet profiles.

Ended up not being able to go from BRJ5 because I can't get the firmware in the correct order. Did doing this trip your Knox? Not a huge deal for me, as I am the IT in my government agency, but a big deal for device compliance in Intune.
I was on 3BRJ5 before flashing the U1 firmware. It did not trip Knox.

Finally made the jump as I was too sick of waiting on samsung/att to give me the update! Thanks for the great instructions and links that actually work. Beta 3 to me feels better than using Oreo. The only weird little bug I have noticed is the night mode likes to turn itself off randomly. It's been working great as my daily driver for a almost a week now without issue.

Where is the userdata files for the FW
Just in case you didnt know ive wrote this guide to help root your honor magic 2 model (TNY-AL00)
first you must have your bootloader unlocked and huawei does not give BL unlock codes anymore so youll have to get it from a third party source and they charge money for this service, i know it F**kin sucks but i havent found any workaround for this, i used funkyhuawei and it was 55 usd, they were quite quick with getting me the code and i cant use a phone without full control so it was worth it to me, ive heard of cheaper alternatives like ministry of solutions but i do not know the validity of this.
Second, you must find an update.zip firmware for TNY-AL00 which i could only find on easyfirmware.com which again they freaking charge money but look around you might be able to find free firmware someware, as far as i know at the time of this writing the huawei firmware finder app does not have the new models yet. Find this firmware and download to a pc "and yes you can use a lower version than the one your running as i used a .129 RECOVERY_RAMDIS.img and my system is on .150 and i havent run into any problems as of yet"
Third, download huawei update extractor on pc run it and in settings make sure the first two boxes are unchecked. Open update.zip with the extractor and extract RECOVERY_RAMDIS.img from it and transfer it to your phones storage
Fourth, magisk now supports emui 9 rooting but at the time of this writing its only available on the canary build,
To get to the canary version of magisk download and install magisk manager then ignore the install prompt magisk gives you when you run it and then go to settings and hit update channel and choose custom and paste this "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/topjohnwu/magisk_files/master/canary_builds/canary.json" and restart magisk and itll ask you to update, update the manager then when it asks to install magisk.zip go to install and patch boot image " make sure magisk version is on 18.1 not 18.0" and patch the recover_ramdis file on your phone. The patched boot image will be in the download folder of your phone, use pc and transfer the patched boot image to desktop on pc
Fifth, download minimal fastboot and adb drivers to yor pc and run command prompt, connect phone to pc and and run phone in fastboot mode " press and hold volume up right after pluging in usb from pc to enter fastboot" in command prompt type fastboot devices and it should show some numbers which means it recognizes your phone, now type "fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk /path/to/RECOVERY_RAMDIS.img" or just drag the RECOVERY_RAMDIS.img into command prompt after typing up to recovery_ramdisk
Then type fastboot reboot and get your phone to power down, to have root you now have to hold volume up and power to boot. You have to do this every time if you want root. Your now rooted..........

That's unfortunate. Ny biggest reason for rooting would be to get better camera support. I dont suppose GCam works on this with a root? I don't see any ROM development for it either. Why did you decide to root?
Yes this is tryed and true method. I get it working on my phones first then i post guide, everything works fine, only thing ive noticed is sometimes itll take a min for magisk to ask for grant to su from app or service.

Did you accept OTA updates and would you use the exact same steps and files if you were rooting today?
No ota
You have to reflash the original ramdisk.img to update then flash modded ramdisk.img
I'm considering buying this but only if it is rootable. Is it possible to install wearOS afterwards (soc compatibility ?)? Thank you very much
Let me start off by stating that this is by no means my tutorial, all information was gathered from this community and organized into, hopefully, a helpful tut. Thank you to Max Weinbach, who originally posted this tutorial - due to issues with the file hosting server, that page hasn't been updated in a bit. Hopefully this will help in the meantime... And a big thank you to Venom0642 for hosting these files!
NO ROOT!!!
MUST BE SNAPDRAGON VARIANT (SM-N960, SM-N960U1, SM-N960W)
Optional: This will wipe the data on your phone. Use SmartSwitch to backup your phones data to your computer
Step 1: Download the 3 Items listed below (AT&T N960USQS1ARJA, Odin3, N960USQS1ARJA-U1CSA7)

Step 2: Copy or Move the "N960USQS1ARJA-U1CSA7.zip" file to your SD card and insert SD card into your Note 9 - If you do not have an SD card you can use ADB sideload to flash this .zip later in the process but I will not be going into much detail on this option. Skip this step if this is you and I will let you know when to use adb later on
Step 3: Unzip the "AT&T_N960USQS1ARJA" folder - Notice that you will have 5 files within this folder, we will only be using the 4 that begin with BL, AP, CP, and CSC
Step 4: Unzip the "Odin3_v3.13.1_3B_PatcheD" folder and launch the Odin3 executable
Step 5: Within Odin, click on the "BL" box and navigate to your "AT&T_N960USQS1ARJA" folder and select the corresponding file that beings with "BL". Do the same thing for the AP, CP and CSC fields within Odin, you can leave USERDATA empty - The BL, AP, CP, and CSC fields within Odin should now be populated with the "AT&T_N960USQS1ARJA" files
Step 6: Power down your phone. Once it is off, enter Odin mode by: holding Power button + Volume Down + Bixby button - Your phone may prompt you asking if you want to download a custom OS, press the Volume Up button to continue.
Step 7: Plug your Note 9 into your computer - If Odin is communicating with your phone, on the left hand side of the screen (odin on your computer), under "Log", you should see something like "Added!!"
Step 8: Hit "Start" within Odin - Your phone will now flash to N960USQS1ARJA and will automatically reboot into recovery mode when it is done. This will take a few minutes!
Step 9: You should now be in recovery mode. If you are not, power down your phone and boot into recovery by holding Power button + Volume Up + Bixby button. Use the volume keys to highlight "Wipe data/factory reset" , use the Power button to select it and select "Yes" to continue. - After the wipe completes, you will be brought back to the main menu of Recovery Mode
Step 10: Use the volume keys to highlight “apply update from SD card” and select it with the power key - If you do not have an SD card, this is where you would select "apply update from adb", open a command prompt/terminal on your computer and type: adb sideload <file location of N960USQS1ARJA-U1CSA7.zip>
Step 11: Now find the N960USQS1ARJA-U1CSA7.zip file that you put onto your SD card earlier by using the volume buttons to navigate and power button to select it - Your phone will now flash to N960USQU1CSA7 (Pie/OneUI) and will boot up normally when it is finished. This will take a few minutes!
Step 12: You are now on Android Pie. Walk through the normal startup menus and then use SmartSwitch to restore your data. Done!
Hope this helps a few people! I will try to keep this thread up to date with current builds as Venom0642 makes them available

I do not know anything about the firmware science route, you would need someone else to help you there. But this version will have at&t bloat, you will have to disable the handful of apps they preload so you don't have to deal with them

C builds add full support for carrier features. With T-Mobile, you get Advanced Messaging and a few other things I can't remember now. Samsung Pay works on all beta builds, just not Google Pay.

Ok gotcha, so this latest c build is still a beta? If not Will there be a path to just flash zip on the c builds when the official pie release comes out?

I don't think so, as far as I know you can't crossflash firmwares from different variants (in this Case N960U or N960U1 to N9600 or vice versa).
But I'm on the same boat, mine is also N9600 and eagerly waiting for any sign of Pie.
Have you seen the release notes for Pie in the members app? Make no sense to me.
Fota showing 1CSA8 lol.

One question, if I'm already on the N96OUSQS1ARJA build can I skip that part and go straight to the PIE upgrade? Or is there any reason I should install ARJA version your showing?
TIA

Happy to help brotha! Venom already answered your question, but yes you can do step 1 (even though you don't need all of those files) and step 2 and then skip right to step 9

I saw the release notes now and they said march only
My release notes only contain a mess... no mention of note 9, only low or mid tier devices listed with date 28th of February.
I'm using Samsung Note 9 N600 dual SIM. Can I update using this method.
First of all, as you all know - you are responsible for anything that you do to your device, neither me nor anyone helping you are responsible for it. Of course this generous community will help you through if anything unexpected happens.
and just to make sure that you're not an idiot, this is for SAMSUNG phones only and only for S21 Series. YOU CAN TRY THIS METHOD ON OTHER SAMSUNG DEVICE BUT YOU WILL NEED UPDATE FILE OF ONE UI BETA 4 FOR THE DEVICE YOU TRYING TO FLASH
-- The process I am explaining and/or describing here is tested by me and it works 100%. I have Canadian S21ultra which is not part of the beta program, I tried to install beta update on Canadian firmware but it failed so I tried this method and I have successfully installed ONE UI 4 Beta and everything works. This should work with S21/S21+
This is a few steps process so read carefully through each and every step, I am gonna try to keep this as easy and noob friendly as possible, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
-- This process will take place in 4 parts so it doesn't get confusing, it needs to go in chronological order.
Step 1 : Download needed files and tools for your device
Step 2 : Backup your data
Step 3 : Flash current stable firmware for your device family either exynos or snapdragon via ODIN
Step 4 : Install One UI 4 Beta 1
Step 1 : Download needed files and tools
1. ODIN tool to flash the firmware (Search xda/Google for this)2. SDK Platform-tools from here SDK Platform-tools - once downloaded, extract files3. CURRENT stock firmware of the device (One UI 3.1) - This is the latest One UI 3.1 firmware from the country getting beta updates.- For Example : If you are installing UK One UI beta, Download Latest Stable One UI 3.1 firmware from UK which is compatible for your device (Please make sure it is the same processer as your current device, if you have exynos S21 device, download exynos and if you have snapdragon version download snapdragon one) -- you can download it from Galaxy Firmware Website or website or source of your choice.- Extract Firmware zip.4. Beta Update zip file - Copy this file in Platform-tools folder and rename it to update.zip if needed.Snapdragon Version : Click HereExynos Version : Click HereStep 2 : Backup your data (Recommended but not necessary)
1. Samsung smart switch for Computer -- From Here2. Samsung Cloud Backup - from settings of your device.3. Connect your phone in download mode to the computer via USB cable (Turn off your phone, while pressing volume up+down button, plug in the USB Cable to your computer, you will see teal screen with some disclaimers on your phone, press volume up)3. Click on BL on ODIN screen and navigate to the folder where you extracted firmware from step 1, click on file name starting with BL_xxx.tar.md5, wait for it to populate in ODIN. Repeat process with AP, CP and CSC (NOT HOME_CSC) in ODIN (AP will take a lot of time to load so grab a coffee/bear/Tea or whatever you like while that processes).4. Click start and wait for that to be finished5. You will see success in ODIN and your device will reboot to the system6. Turn off your device by pressing power button once its booted.Step 4 : Install One UI Beta 1 update
1. Boot your phone into recovery by continue pressing power and volume up button, once you see the samsung logo release both buttons.2. Select Install update from adb3. Thank you for the helpful instructions. But , as you already know, a noob question is a must . I own a Hong Kong version of the S21 ultra which is SM-N9980 , snapdragon of course. Can I flash a US or UK firmware that has a different model number in order for me to sideload the One UI 4.0 ?
Thank you for your patience.

As the Latest 3.1.1 official firmware for G9980 Galaxy s21 ultra is on August Patch that cause side loading update.zip not to work on current firmware, is it possible to get the same error again in the last step considering firmware patch still not on September??

Guessing it's a snapdragon processor, latest US 3.1 firmware (G998U1) one would be your best bet.
But I guess it has been said they're not compatible with each other!
Different build number versions conflicts!

That's the real problem here..

Sorry I saw in your example the UK one was mentioned but did not realize that they only had Exynos.
Which firmware did you flash on yours to get it to work? US T-Mobile? And would that also change which bands are available (since I assume it also flashes a different baseband)?

Because the beta update package was from vzw , just wanted to stick to one carrier.
