Gaming is working perfect, stable 60fps right after phone restart, but after a while (without doing anything) or after making/recieving a call im facing big fps drop.. from 60 to 40 fps, in any game!
The phone is not heating..
Does anybody have this issue?
Tried with no succes: disabled samsung gos, disable game launcher, disabled game booster, cleared ram.
Rom version doest matter.. currently im on AUHD.
Any solution to try?

I have this issue too. Why does snapdragon 855 lags on pubg mobile. There is serious frame drop issue. Xiaomi please fix this.
What setting are you playing on? Because for playing too long in hdr with extreme fps might be making this lag...
i didnt have any fps issue on highest setting , only the back of the phone getting hots.
Back of the phone gets hot with even smooth extreme setting
My k20 pro lags even with smooth extreme settings. Will a software update fix this??

I am facing the same issue in K20 pro. extreme frame drops. Even if you select low fps it will lag.
Pubg lags/stutter is present in all custom roms... Even in all stock/eu roms too. For me the performance i got in latest chaina stable. It also lags/stutters here n there but much better performance than the custom roms
Have you tried disabling all the touch response and sensitivity stuff in the game booster which is accessible through the security app?
For me the experience is much smoother after I've disabled all those additional features
K20 pro pubg problem
I also get major lag in pubg with smooth extreme setting how sd 855 can't handle smooth extreme in pubg & it has touch issue to will they fix this with a update
I'm playing HDR + Extreme and stable 60FPS whole game...
ermmm remember to let your phone cool down , smooth extreme is actually a 60 fps , its high demand , of course there will be thermal throttle , benchmark test also slow down when phone is hot
Zero lags here on 6GB version. Smooth/HDR both at60fps run buttersmooth.
There is render lag and framedrop when squads come nearby taking it from 60 to 45fps but it's a server related part and happens on all including OP7Pro.
Do hibernate all social media or background persistant apps like FB, WHATSAPP, TikTOK, Messenger, Instagram etc by using Greenify and use dehibernate after you're done playing so none will consume cpu/ram or introduce spikes in ping by trying to pull notifications/updates in background.

Maybe not be the reason for the recent lagging issue, but I do believe this holds some water.
MIUI 10 was a better performer. Wish Xiaomi released less phones and focused more on software.

Totally agree!!
Tested PUBG on both MIUI 10 and 11. Despite of more device heating with MIUI 10, pubg performance isn't too bad. Infact I found the sweet spot when I disabled the game booster with display overclocked to 81hz.
I tried many different settings on MIUI 11. No luck yet. Frame rate keeps dropping below 40fps.
I have same issue with note 10 SD 855 and it's ****in irritating af.. If I factory reset it'll play fine for maximum one day then lag will come again
For anyone facing lag &framedrops - if you're rooted on miui install Franco kernel manager & then under miscellaneous settings select thermal profile "not set" out of the 10 or 12 available ones.
Experience smoothest gameplay after this [email protected], even [email protected] without random slowdowns or microstutters. (Except when nearing other squads as it's a server side lag issue)

Hi guys, i just bought this phone for playing pubg exclusively. but im a littel bit dessapointed because after 40min-one hour of gaming the game starts lagging a lot at 43degress aprox. i dont know if i have to mod any configuration or what i have to do to play at 60fps for almost 2 hours. my last xiaomi mi 8 gets very hot while playing during 2 hours but it doesnt has frames drops with his sd845 procesor.
please if somebody could show his configuration for this game.

Yeah man... we know. It's not about the hardware (power left, overheating, etc.), it's something related to software. For me it works perfect 95% times, but lately is more lagged, even with Kirisakura 2.0. And heay, it's around 40-43º after some period time playing...

Go to the Armory Crate and under Pubg Mobile's scenario profile set the temperature control to High. If you still get frame drops you can set X mode to Advanced. These are the settings I use currently and it runs perfectly.

yup I noticed this helps me to keep the pubg in 60fps and the temperature around 39-42°C. but i wonder why, previously there was no problem at all. is it pubg's fault in recent updates or rog's software fault. by the way i was previously updated to android 10, but since pubg is so bad in that build and pubg fps dropped due to overheat, i downgraded to android 9. but now i can feel the problem is still there. or maybe pubg was not optimizing their game for rog2. well, i am still dreaming of 120hz of pubg for this phone, and such a disappointment its been half a year without any update of it.

turn down graphics settingss or else one lucky day your phone will pop out like a popcorn.
secondly dont expect much from a phone while playing a AAA title. it is bound to heat up. if gaming is a serious passion for you dont cheap out and buy a console or build a gaming rig .

I play pubg on my k20 pro without any issues...i have tried all the roms and kernels.
According to me there are only 2 roms that can solve your problem.
1. Evolution X (stable)
2. Miui12 beta + candykernel
2nd thing :-
You have to install franco kernel manager app and select "pubg" in thermal profile.
Pubg will run absolutely fine but you may face one problem with miui...if your phone heats up too much while playing that it will charge very slowly (won't happen if your Ambient room temperature is low)
I'm using global stable rom for my mi9t pro. And it is performing absolutely fine. My settings are.
1. Graphics = HD
2.Frame Rate = High
3.Anti-Aliasing: off.
I use wifi. Mobile data heats up device more .
But wifi is fine. No overheat

Runs amazingly well on my.phone, so not sure what your doing wrong, but it runs it faster than my note 20 ultra

Hi, for me there is no problems with any games ! Even if I play to genshin impact at the maximum there is no problems .
The only is I hopped to have at least 90 FPS in COD but unfortunately there's "only" 60 FPS but very constant (no drop in any situation) so that's ok .

When i set display refresh rate to 90hz
And set game setting to high frame rate.
Nothing happen, it stuck in 60fps.
But. When i clear data app battery & performa.
And play it again. Same setting in game.
It can 90fps smoothly.
Yes smothly. When i reboot my phone, it back 60fps on the game. And have to repeat the same way to get 90fps.
Can someone fix it?

honestly, so far I haven't seen any game run at 90 fps for me to enjoy 90hz. all run satisfactorily at 60fps

did you find any solution for it? i have xiaomi 12 and it also stuck in 60 fps for all games i guess it is about game turbo but i cant solve it for my another xiaomi phones when i change fps lock from game turbo its working but for xiaomi 12 it is not changing even i set the limmiter 30 fps from game turbo
