That would probably work. I'd flash the stock boot first, then flash the magisk_patched one.

Hello, So that's what I first flashed the Boot and then modified it. Great return to the original Kernel. Great.
"Anyway the modified Kernels it was never a great experience except at the time for my Oneplus 3 (Besides mods level and others, Oneplus, the biggest community) Then I went to Xiaomi, but pile l year in which they stopped updating Miui for years and returned to rank 2 years 3 major updates and 1 year of security. Fortunately the community is also not bad, but it all depends on the models. In short, I expected more hack on Google smartphones, but no."
Otherwise I have a problem with adaptive charging ? It worked well but since this summer no more adaptive charging at night ??? However, I put an alarm plug it in after 22h (PM) and alarm 6h (AM) with the original charger !!! No more adaptive load up to 80% then 100% at the end. I do not understand why ? if you have an idea ? Thank you

Ok thanks. Me too. Perhaps a Magisk mod !? Or just the root "Magisk"
I don't remember but before on settings, battery and adaptive battery they hadn't adaptative battery charging ? Only adaptive battery.
I stay Android 12 and see later.
Have a good week.

Hello guys and girls,
As some of you already know Android 8.1 suffers from a severe Multi-Touch Issue. This issues makes the smartphone randomly jumping between the two touching points on the screen when touching with two or more fingers.
The issue is known to google since the preview of 8.1. It isn´t only affecting pixel but most probably all devices running 8.1. The issue is also present on P.
An issue got created here: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/70344455
There is a fix since mid march in review on google gerrit. But that didn´t make it into the april release, obviously.
To visualize the issue refer to the following videos:
https://youtu.be/wgYN5GwIgIc
https://youtu.be/2Vv584tvVyg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dnIk_5qdK8&feature=youtu.be
This is especially bad for gamers. With the recent release of PUBG this issues seems dramatic to some, less to others.
I´m no gamer but I noticed the issue on the google foto app.
This issue has nothing to do with the corners badly reacting to touches, or touch sensitivity etc.
So but now to the fix. It seems the issues is only related to resampling but not to touching specific points of the screen ( not related to crossing x and y axis).
That also explains why the issue wasn´t happening when using the touch tracking tool in dev settings but on various multi touch test apps.
The fix is on google gerrit currently under review here:
https://android-review.googlesource.com/c/platform/frameworks/native/+/640605
https://android-review.googlesource.com/c/platform/frameworks/native/+/640606
Last week I compiled myself a DU build with the changes included and I couldn´t trigger the issue at all. I found no other side effects caused by the two patches.
For now I decided to provide a Magisk Module which replaces the changed libs that fixes the issue.
I compiled the libs while doing my april build of DU. The magisk module can be found on the link a little bit down.
The download is here:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=890129502657595755
A few disclaimers here.
1. That fix should in theory work for most 8.1 devices, including the likes of pixel 1st gen, pixel 2nd gen, one plus, xiaomi which suffer from this severe issue.
1a. It works only for AOSP/LOS based roms on the essential phone. It seems like stock isn´t close enough to aosp.
2. I didn´t fix this, I just compiled the libs with the fix found on google gerrit.
3. Rom devs you are very welcome to include this fix. I found no ill consequences as of yet but I can understand google taking it slow and reviewing it longer. Maybe they will find a better fix, but as of now this is the best thing we have.
Donations:
Donations are not mandatory but very welcome.
If you like my work: http://paypal.me/freak07
this was confirmed working on the xda portal post by @crixley for the essential phone running a custom aosp/los based rom.
Big thanks to you!

Should have mentioned that. I am on resurrection remix and rooted.
Confirmed that it also bootloops on stock ROM, if you have ElementalX Kernel installed.
It seems that the stock rom isn’t close enough to aosp so this fix will only work on custom roms!
I edited the OP accordingly to the stock rom issue.
In the meantime can one of you guys on the stock rom do me a favour and check if you have libinputflinger.so and libinput.so located in system/lib and system/lib64 or if the libs are somewhere in vendor for you?
They exist both files.

It should be 4 files overall. libinput.so and libinputflinger.so have to be in system/lib and additionally in system/lib64.
but if they are in system and not in system/vendor then I have no way of fixing it atm I fear.
Looks like we have Pie now, no one talking about that it seems. But latest beta came with Android 9.0, I believe. With Dark Mode in Display settings, pretty good.
Also noticed the update. However, I'm quite hesitant at first due to earlier info's that states recruitment is suspended for pie update. How's the update btw? Is there any bugs that might affect a normal day to day usage? Planning to install this rom. Tnx in advance!

You extract the folder inside the .tgz file then use mi flash tool to flash it.
It didn't have any update, and it doesn't have any new function except for the dark mode.
I installed stock rom rom again because the phone was running slow and killing background apps too frequently.

i wanted to try it and eventually rollback to Oreo : but i can't !
So be careful, cause there are some bugs that make it difficult to use as a daily driver.
For example, brightness is very very low and it's hard to see anything under the sun, hotspot security is useless (makes you hotspot opened)...
I try to flash many other Oreo global official roms without success using mi flash tool. Though it says ok, it's always the same rom that boot (android 9).
Tried to flash twrp , but every version i installed boots on an snowy strange screen (like old tv without canal).
So be careful if it's the only phone you have.

I translated the page and it says for Android 10, so that depends on which version of MIUI11 you are running.
Also the OP for the kernel on the Russian forums said it would be coming to XDA soon, so just be wary that it might be unstable at this point.

Hi,
I need a ROM for working use (GPS and monitor to run a drone app), I'd like to have less stock apps as possible, because I don't need them and to have few battery drain as possible.
Currently I'm on stock MIUI 12.0.1 with unlocked bootloader and root permissions, and it's ok, but it has to many unnecessary stock apps, if I try to remove them with Titanium Backup it goes into bootloop, is it normal that happen?
I got another Xiaomi with Android One and its minimal ROM is wondeful, 9hrs screen on too, but the phone doesn't have the same hw spec, less GPS signal intensity, less brightness , less power ecc... Is there any way to flash this ROM on MI 9?
Thanks

I can recommend syberia os.
With a lot of apps and an old Mi9 256gb transparent edition I get a good battery consumption (see attached picture). I think if you install less apps the battery consumption will be less than mine.

According to Xiaomi EU yes, take into account that TWRP doesn't decrypt data a12, I was able to test it out but kept getting a permission error crash. Some peeps did it with the OTA update and it worked according to there posts.
If you want come back to a11 Xiaomi EU you must flash first fastboot ROM from Xiaomi EU android 11 (old one), full boot, next flash twrp, format all yes, flash stable a11, format, fully boot.
If you have twrp data partition backup from twrp after fully boot and set pin (nessrsary, tested today) come back to recovery, restore data, boot
Tested today other "short way" and always was problematic , use my instruction

That is what happened to me with the random reboots after using the beta build even after clean fresh install. Have you had any issues with permission crashing?
I'am on Xiaomi.eu 21.9.1 beta ROM and it shows up as update in the updater. How can I update it EXACTLY? I read about fastboot mode but why would it show up in the updater tho? Some confusing posts at xda and xiaomi.eu Forums.

Been using it for several hours now and after setting the minimun fps for the screen at 90 and flashing a couple of Magisk mods and it has been running great to the point I forgot I had switched. I will say there are some Ii glitches but not something noticeblw all the time. Like when it boots the screen will be shown like for one hand use it redraws itself and it gets fixed also for example when switching screen density you have to kind play with the font size to get it to fix or a reboot will fix it. Anyways nothing major but it passes safety net it's rooted and it's working great

I wasn't using a pin and I don't know if it matters since it's done from fastboot mode, but I only literally just rebooted to fastboot and ran the bat file script. So no need to wipe anything since it's done all by the script it will reboot by itself and you just have to wait for it to boot it might take some minute for first boot so be patient.

Yes ROM MIUI Mix is working fantastic, great battery no issue playing COD at max settings smooth etc. I set.my screen to min fps 90 Hz and it's just the sweet spot.

Too bad. On OneOS A11 I could use Nova launcher as default with navbar turned off, so use gestures from FNG, when on A12 I only can use system launcher
