Hy... I'm Asriend from Indonesia.. I'm a Sony Xperia X Compact user & I really like the design. I am also very happy to join this community. I'm planning to try a custom rom on the x compact & xperia z5 compact. But both devices are in bootloader unlocked state allowed: NO. Is it possible to open & install a custom rom...?? Thank you very much for the help..

It's almost time to choose a new phone from my provider and I already thought that the Xperia V was it.
But after reading a lot of review and watching all the video's, I need your opinion.
What are the most signifcant differences between the V and the T, only the LTE support and water resistance?
T:
- Bigger Screen
- Camera button
V:
- Water resistant
- LTE
So, my main question, what is, in your opinion, the best choice ?
Moved to Q&A
The Xperia T also has the superior front-facing camera at 1.3MP with 720p HD video recording (Xperia V only has a VGA front camera), so that could factor into your decision as well. The Xperia V currently has some software advantages on the stock ROMs, incorporating features that Sony won't be adding to the Xperia T until the Jelly Bean update. I ultimately chose the V because of the LTE support and its personally more preferable screen size at 4.3", and the waterproofing is a nice added bonus as well. It's best to keep in mind that the Xperia T has far more developers at this point, however, so that could be the biggest deciding factor for you.
Guys so I've thoughtabout getting a new phone and its come down to these two choices xperia t and xperia SP ? which do you think is better i've used both seems pretty fluid and not laggy :silly:

Xperia T over SP
1.Better Front Camera
2.Better Back Camera
3.Great Development Support
4.Display Viewing Angles and Resolution
5.Bigger Internel Memory
Xperia SP over T
1.Latest GPU ( Adreno 320 )
2.Latest Processor ( Snapdragon S4 )
3.Big Battery
4.Comes with JB 4.1.2 So may be chance to get higher versions
In SP Battery Charging Time Is minimum 4 Hours.. I used SP for one week. After that i return that and get T...
Battery Back up is good with SP
But the Camera is Little disappointment
Display viewing angle is not good in SP
Thats all...
From My Xperia T BOND Phone
so you would suggest the xperia T ? and not much difference in 3d performance between the two ?

I have an Xperia TX and compared to my display, the xperia SP is TERRIBLE. I think the Xperia T would have the same display as a TX so get the Xperia T. Also 8 GB internal memory is really, really low.

@Raider_ bro
Xperia ZR is going to launch, I already heared that it will be available in Online Shops... Y dont u try That ? Its a beast...
And how about TX vs T??
XDA-Developers on T vs screen quailiy on TX. Is true taht TX screen is better that T.
And now ZR, can we expect similar price. Totally confused :\
Question is simple.If C690x = Sony Xperia Z1 then D650x = Sony Xperia Z2 a flag ship in 2014 from Sony?
Waiting for your comments...

wth? z1 is the successor to z?
Currently, The confirmed 2014 Sony flagship is the Xperia Z1 mini.
Don't know if there's any other device gonna come with the Z1 mini
Regards,
~J2C
The Xperia ZL was C650, so the D650 could be a ZL successor. Following Sony's release scheme (H1->refresh / H2 ->completely new device) D650 will be a refreshed Z1 with smaller bezel.
Hello. It's time to replace the old xperia Z. Ofc i will get sony again, but the question is which model. Im thinking of z3 not the compact, cause z3+ and z5 are basically the same. Also i don't think there is big difference betwen 4 core processor and 8 core. What can i do with z5 i would be able to do it with z3. So suggest me which one os better?
Z5 has impressive camera stabilization, all the critics are raving about it.
Z5 also has dual heat pipes, so probably works well with thermal management.
Z3 and all below apparently have heat and battery issues, they are not worth the upgrade in my opinion. Personally I am saving for the Z5, the old Z is a good workhorse for another six months or less for me.

Well fingerprint sensor is plus for me too. Most people dont use security locks, but when you imagine what you got in your phone (saved passwords, SMS confirmation for internet banking etc.) fingerprint is pretty handy.
Well i have intouch with z3 compact and i can say that it's great phone. Faster than my Z. After all its 2,5ghz 4 cores instad of 1,5 in Z. Other than that the battery is relly good. I was using it 2 days with mobile internet always on,browsing and calling 1 hour per day. Z5 will be one bag of money fr nothing... The best thing is camera and fingerprint sensor. I don't see anyting better than z3+ or even z3.
Depends if you want root without unlocking bootloader and losing DRM keys. Not possible on Z3+/Z4 onwards due to new secure boot implementation by Sony. Phone won't boot on stock kernel if /system is modified in any way:thumbdown:

Well then you see a lot of things wrong. The Z5 is better in any category you can think of.
Z5 or Z5 Premium? And if you don't mind exlpain ot me with what z5 is better than previous sony models except the things i mention above: camera, processor,4k screen (that i think it's pointless in so small screen).
i would definitely go for the Z5, the camera outtakes look far better than Z3's family, the new sensor is beast

xperia z5 uses dual heatpipe where older models uses one(z3) or no (Z)heatpipe
Check this:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/09/04/xperia-z5-using-dual-heat-pipes-to-control-thermal-performance/
And this is just one of the major improvements.

Backup TA needs root.
Anyway, I think someone will find a way but it might need some more time then usual.
For example: The galaxy s5, was told to be unrootable because of the new secure knox system, but in no-time there was root without tripping knox
The Premium doesn't always run in 4k, according to an article I read. The Window Manager runs at 1080p by default and dynamically switches to 4k if 4k content is detected.
