ZTE used to post their OTA images on the Germany Site (ztedevices.de), however they now post these on the somewhat global official site:
Download link: https://ztedevices.com/en-eu/support/select-product/axon-10-pro/
(Select Germany, then download "From Android 10 to Android 11")
Just like installing OTAs before, unpack the zip file, copy the "update.zip" to the phone, then goto Settings--System and Update--System Update, Install the zip, reboot and you're done.
New features and fixes:
--1.Fixed transition animation when opening apps (As in 9 or 10, just the "square" animation) and swiping back to home page.
--2.App Drawer background is now pure white, the text is black just like Pixel Launcher does.
(The Launcher still doesn't change a lot (but CN version does), same Wallpaper and WallpaperPicker, but fixed changing size problems of some widgets)
--3.New notifications page and Settings. Reduced the gap between two signal meters (if you have two sim cards then you will notice)
--4.New lock screen settings and always-on display, fixed color temprature changing.
--5.Have two dial pad tones (DTMF and piano), four screen locking sounds.
--6.Screen-edge mistouch prevention and quick waking up GAssistant by pressing the power button.
Screenshots are below, transition animation demo:

Same problem here. Does anyone know a way to flash a complete ROM without having the bootloader unlocked? Can I use EDL? I even have a working Axon 10 with Android 11 firmware. But I do not know how to flash via EDL.
Any chance this will work on the now forgotten US version?
I am unable to perform the update coming from 2.9 :-(

Seems like it's unable to upgrade from 2.9, and I didn't notice there's even a 2.9 package. I upgraded from 2.8 successfully, maybe you should use OTA or MiFlash to downgrade to 2.8 and perform another upgrade.
Besides, the rollback package for this version seems useless, so if you want to rollback, you have to use MiFlash and the EDL packages to reset to V1.6 or later.

Thanks for the reply. I'm sad. The Axon 10 is a perfect design and piece of hardware. I also had an Axon 7 before, so I have 4-5 years of experience in ZTE software support and I can say it may be the worst in the planet. In the end, I decided to switch to Pixel 6. It was very well priced with Bose headphones, although not Bose is my favorite, but a good name and quality, right?

Exactly. The reason I use this phone is that this was gifted by one of my relatives when I graduated from high school. If there was a chance, I would possibly choose OnePlus or Xiaomi. Thanks to XDA, there are still some chances to customize my phone.
Hi there, I just downloaded and unzipped the file to the root but it doesn't show up when I look for an update, do I need to unlock the bootloader? I'm from Mexico
The only deference between G and U version is the modem.
If we can extract the modem from your phone maibe we can flash G ROM to USA version.
I did that in Axon 7 .worked great.
So I need some instructions how to that.
If anyone can help would be great.
Hi all
can anyone please make FULL EDL image of the android 11?

Hi le011, is everything working stable on your Android 11 with USA modem? Are you having any connectivity issues? Does the GPS work and lock on instantly like it did on Android 9?

Hello
Well, the idea is like this:
Flus the G full EDL image whit MIFLAH program.
Link to EDL: A2020G_PRO_V2.1 android 10 EU_FULL_EDL.rar — Yandex.Disk.
Ty to dimkin_76 and djkuz
** stay whit the G modem!!!!
Restart the phone. You will have WI FI. You will get system update to V 2.8. take it.
After you have the V2.8 , then get the android 11 SD card update.
Download the SD card update to android 11 From this post, ty to Willwongprd:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/news-eu-a2020g-android-11-r-update.4338393/
download link:
https://oss.ztedevices.com/prod/cn/...ware(414360B1331MyOS11.3.4_A2020GPro_EEA).zip
make the update.
Restart the phone and you have the android 11 MYOS on your phone but whit G modem.
Now its time to flush U modem.
Download the U full EDL image from hear: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=17248734326145680432
Ty to bobthenormal.
Extract the file and copy the MODEM .BIN file to another library .
Rename the MODEM.BIN , twice to: NON-HLOS.bin AND NON-HLOSb.bin.
To flush the modem I used this tool: Axon 10 EDL Tool 3.2.5 from this treed:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ash-backup-restore-bootloader-unlock.3964605/
( There is another tool but it didn’t worked for me.)
Put the 2 modem files you renamed in the flush/modem library in the Axon 10 EDL Tool 3.2.5 folder.
Connect the phone to computer and activate the program and choose flus the modem. It take me some time until the program worked for me but finaly it did.
After the modem flush you will have ex U variant phone whit android 11..
Good luck….
Ty to all for the hard job to keep your AXON 10 PRO alive…
Chears…

Hi all,
Just got a Xiaomi mi5... Was about 3 hours ago.
But I am already considering selling it back !
Why ?
Many reasons, but here the ones :
- it's so slippery that, even if it's put on a really flat table, the simple weight of the USB charging cable is enough to tear it and make it fall from the table ;
- it came with the CN ROM, and installing Google Play Store has been a nightmare...
- the unlocking procedure can take up to 10 days ! Which I can't understand especially now that kernel sources are officially released !
BUT the main reason is... My device is locked, with stock ROM. I don ot like the MIUI launcher so wanted to install my own.
Downloaded it. Installed it. Launched it. Set it as the default launcher. Gave it all permissions (+ autostart).
Despite al this, hitting the "Home" button keeps launching the MIUI launcher.
I think it's been a long time singe I ran into so much trouble just wanting to use a legitimately bought phone !!!
Any ideas on how to change the launcher for good ?
Help would be appreciated...
Regards.

Hi guys,
OK... Replying to myself !
It turns out that, to be able to choose another launcher than the default Miui launcher, I have to turn off "Enable Miui optimizations" in the developer options.
Just in case you're wondering, to turn on Developer options, you have to go to "Settings =>About phone" and then press 7 or 8 times repeatedly "MIUI Version".
Once enabled, developer options can be found under "Settings =>Additional settings".
Scroll down to the bottom of that page and you'll find "Turn on MIUI optimization" => untick the box that appears on that line.
Problem solved... so that is one !
Now let's try to find out why my Mi PC Suite doesn't detect my device !
Regards.
You do not need to stuck with China MIUI, you can flash Global MIUI which comes with Playstore.
You can either flash MIUI Global rom via Updater app or unlock the bootloader follow by fastboot to MIUI Global rom.

Hi Wang,
Of course, I know I can do that
And believe e, I can't wait to install another ROM than MIUI.
If I'd wanted to stick with MIUI, I'd go for the original instead of this pale copy, and would get my an iPhone
But I have requested an unlock code on the Xiaomi Unlock website and I am waiting for their answer.
In the meantime, I would like to use my device... and thus the need for the launcher
But I really fear that I am going to face a real problem : and that is to have my device be detected by my computer.
I download the MIUI PC Suite and installed it on Windows 10.
If I launch the app and hook up my device to my computer, and turn on MTP it does not see it.
Hope the unlocking app will detect it... or I'm stuck with stock which sucks (yeah, I'm kind of a poet !).
Regards.

MiPc doesn't work with Marshmallow, so it dosn't work with the Mi5.
But many people are experiencing other problems when trying to unlock, even though they have their permission.
But don't worry about it now

Hi Ethested,
Hum... that will be some sort of problem won't it ?
I've read that to unlock your device, you need to install Miui Dev version...
How will I be able to do that if I can't connect with Mi PC Suite ?
I've tried to flash from the updater, but all I got is a "Can't verify file" message... and thus can't install anything
I must say that I have never ran into so much trouble with a smartphone in the last 3 years.
And it is really diminishing the fun to have it...
Honestly : I have got the phone less than 24 hours ago and I am already considering reselling it

for unlock of bootloader u can either have china stable, china dev and global stable. so since urs is china MIUI shouldn't have a problem with unlocking.
I was facing the same updater app could not verify recovery rom problem, and my solution was to unlock the bootloader and follow by flashing the fastboot rom.
currently im running MIUI 8 Global dev. waiting for developer to port stable AOSP to mi 5 since Xiaomi just released kernel source few days ago.

The Kernel got released yesterday or 1 day before yesterday, which means serious native development has just begun and the Mi5s future and all of the problems will be saved
Hi Ethested,
OK. I know that. And that is of course excellent news.
But of course to be able to install a custom ROM I will first need to unlock my bootloader.
And to unlock the bootloader I need, according to almost all websites i've read :
- 1°) an unlock Code that is manually given by Xiaomi !!!! And it can last up to 3 weeks to get it... If you're lucky, it will be only 2 days...
- 2°) a Dev ROM installed, and not the Chinese Stock ROM.
I am waiting for 1°) and have little hope to get it before the end of next week, but that is pure speculation from my side...
Meanwhile, I would like to install the Global Dev ROM that has the integrated GApps and supports more languages than English and Chinese.
There are several methods to do it...
None of them works !
So when I get my unlock code, if I am unable to to use it because I can't install that Global Dev ROM, what do I do ?
Of course, if someone would be kind enough to answer TWO SIMPLE QUESTIONS, I'D BE GRATEFUL !!!
And that question would be :
"Do I need an unlocked bootloader to install a Global Dev Rom when my device is running Miui 8.0.10 ?"
" Will I be able to unlock my bootloader even if my phone has the Chinese Stock ROM that is not a Dev ROM ?"
So if anyone can light my candle... please share

@NexusPenguin,
You don't need Mi PC suite to flash MUI ROM, can you access internal storage from you computer ? Then put the ROM Zip into the Downloaded_rom folder and run update from you phone

Hi lapocompris,
It seems indeed you did not understand my question...
I know I can do that. But I think I mentioned in a post above that doing this only results in the message "Cannot verify file"... and so I can't update that way.
But it's over now... I got my unlock code, so unlocked the bootloader and got rid of that horrible MIUI interface ! At least, I find it horrible, but as it's quite popular, I think I am about the only one to not like it

I seriously hate miui as well. I find the font on the status bar very small and inconvenient to read. The notification drawer is very bad and handling notifications requires a lot of hassle. It seems to be the case that most of the chinese manufacturers are going the iOS like UI and interface which I, as a long time android user, effing hate! They take out the app drawer, they throw all apps on home screens without proper optimization for organizing them. There is some unnecessary bloatware as well like antivirus crap and memory cleaners.
I found the dev rom to be much more stable than the global stable rom which is funny.
I flashed cm13 which has been working great with very minor bugs and great battery life.
The biggest problem I have right now is not being able to install enterprise apps because the phone has custom recovery and rooted.
To be honest it's my fault that I didn't do my research about the interfaces implemented on top of android by chinese manufacturers . I assumed since this is android then I won't see much BS but damn!
I thought about getting a one plus 3 but their subreddit has pointed out a **** ton of problems which I can not live with plus 5.5" screen vs 5.2" makes a huge difference.
Just to provide some current info, I was in the same position of the op with a modified China rom. Requested unlock code and got a reply in about 30 mins. Unlocked the bootloader easily (make sure u sign in to same mi account on ur pc as the one on your phone.) Next step was flashing a FASTBOOT rom file. This was a problem as installing the required qualcomm drivers in Windows 10 using the faqs on the forums was not successful. Turns out there is a new windows installation package that is signed so windows recognises and uses it. Wasted a lot of time before I found this but actual flashing of global dev rom took like 2-3 mins after thay
---------- Post added at 03:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:07 PM ----------

Hi Friend,
Let see if i can help you.
I come from LOS, after some hours i decide to come back to COS 6.1
You need to dowload COS 6.1 ozip custom recovery flashabe
Folow this steps:
Go to TWRP ( I donw know steps for OrangeFOX )
Wipe / Factory Reset ( Swipe to Right for Factory Reset )
Go to Install and Flash COS 6.1 OZIP
Reboot bootloader
Flash vbmeta stock img ( fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img )
Go to TWRP Again and Format Device ( Wipe - Format, write "yes" ) after format restart system.
If you want i can share a folder with all stuff
Sorry for my english
The X2Pro Community/Information is still small.
Im on COS 6.1 BL unlocked and Rooted, and i like, all funtions work, face unlock, nfc, fp, camera modes , Macro, Ultra HD, Slow Motion, Night Mode.
Later i will Lock BL and Remove Root, stay all original, and w8 for official update, no need to use VPNS or other stuff to update for last(Beta) roms, but im afraid brick device after lock bootloader.
If Realme sell X2 Pro with COS 6.0/6.1 it means the rom full working.
I prefer wainting for stable rom like COS or RUI.
If RUI has the same funtions like COS i update.
We have alot of good devs , but i read some stuff about Realme not release kernel sources, i dont know much about this...
Tell me if steps work for you.
go back to coloros 6 android 9

my issue is very stupid stupid stupid, did i say stupid already? the volume for in on call (non speaker mode) is SUPER loud. and yes i already have it all the way low.
it was high on coloros 6 android 9 but tolerable, but on android 10 its ridiculously loud - the office next to me can hear my conversations(and wifey when home) and i have to place phone like if i had it on speaker phone. did i already say this issue is stupid. anyone know a fix for this? (i know, i will create new post for my issue)
i really like this phone a lot for its price/spec and if there is no way to go back to coloros 6 android 9, im prob end up selling this just because of this stupid issue. Im in south cali fyi if anyone is interested in buying

This is what i have: Realme X2 Pro global or EU version with the new Android 10 version
I tried installing COS 6.1 from your link using stock recovery "Install from storage" but i get a "Installation failed The installed version is lower than the current", which i think means that i have a higher version of android and i want to install a lower version, and it is not allowed.
are you saying that i need to have bootloader unlocked to go back to stock COS 6.1?
in my case I already had the BL unlocked when I did the update. then I go back to Android 9. in your case with the BL locked it shouldn't be the same procedure
I update today to RUI because Im facing an issue with Buttom micro, not working. I update from COS 6.1 to RUI and the problem its the same. Its a hardware problem, only top micro works.

i updated to the latest C24 update and i still have the same problem, voice in-call volume for the earpiece is super loud that will make me deaf if i dont place phone at least 3inches away from my face(again, basically like if it was in speaker mode but its not), and i also have similar issue like you where i think bottom mic does not work sometimes. What i have found out with the mic is if i put the phone in speaker mode then switch back to earpiece mode, the bottom mic works(i think?). Have you tried something similar?
I know you dont have the same loud ass earpiece volume issue but the mic issue is similar to mine...did we get brick/lemon phones or is this more of a software issue? Why havent more people reported this then? or nobody here makes voice calls anymore?

Do you know or does anybody know if when you are rooted can you adjust the "build.prop" file and adjust the top(earpiece) and bottom speakers volumes? what about the mics levels?

I've tried downgrade from realmi UI for almost 24 hours, and only your tutorial helped.
Hi everyone!
So, I just bought myself a Xiaomi mi 9, and the phone itself is great. Still, I'm having a problem related to the ROM that's installed on my device.
When buying this phone, I was looking for a global version. I found one online from local shop, and I was pleased to find what I was looking for. But now after 2 weeks, I was searching the web about updates and MIUI 11. Soon after, I realized that my phone was running a ROM version called 10.2.18.0 PFAEUVF. Now from my understanding VF stands for Vodafone, a carrier I don't even have in my country. The problem with this is that from what I've been reading online, that all updates will be slower, and possibly tweaked from Vodafone before I get them. And frankly, I'm not interested in this at all.
So my questions: Can I put the correct EU or Global ROM on my device fairly easy?
Will I be able to lock bootloader again, so I can use bank related services after?
I'm not new to Android, but I would be extremely grateful if someone could help, or give me a detailed guide on the matter if it's possible to solve. English is not my native language, so it's not always that easy understanding how to-do guides when reading a ton of information.
Sorry for the long text, and if someone know anything about this, I will patiently wait for your reply
Sincerely
Fred

well, if you already have the bootloader unlocked and you are "carrier free" in that phone, you can flash the EEA ROM or the Global ROM from Xiaomi using MiFlashTools, download that and download the zip of the rom, need to be a fastboot ROM, its pretty easy to find since you are on MIUI10, there's lot of MIUI10 ROM for Mi9.
In the MiFlashTool in the bottom right see if they have the option "clean all and lock" or something like that, extract the zip of the ROM you downloaded and then search the folder in the MiFlashTool, click start (dont forget to put the phone in fastboot mode, phone off, press and hold volume up + power button) and thats it, pretty easy.

Im unlocking bootloader, waiting for timer to go down. So basically the most important thing to me, is that I I'm able to flash normal/global ROM without Vodafone and then lock bootloader again without damaging anything. I did not buy the phone through carrier, although the phone came with this Vodafone ROM sh...t
Vodafone is not a carrier in my country, so I've been using my local simcard without any problem, so I guess that a good thing.
@Fredoksi: how did it work out at what did you flash? An EU or a global ROM and do you get updates after the flash or do you need to install these yourself?

Hi @Sun_is_shining, I'm in the same situation. Unlocked my phone but got a Vodafone rom.
I see that you mention to activate the option "clean all and lock". Why should I do that? Isn't that going to lock the phone again?
I want to install Lineage 17.1 unoffical rom on my phone so what is the best way to go?
Other queistion. Currently I have a 10.2 MIUI. Is it best to install an 11.XX rom first and then the Lineage of can I go straight to the Lineage rom?
I'll hope you have some answers

It worked flawlessy for me. I went from vodafone (EUVF) to European (EUXM) and locked bootloader instantly when flashing. I also recommend after booting up the first time after flashing, to go to settings and do a factory reset first before you use it.
Installed 11.0.8.0 QFAEUXM and upgraded directly to MiUI 11. I get system apps updates, but due to Coronavirus I don't think they have newer firmware versions at the moment. Nevertheless, OTA should not be a problem when available.
Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

Well, first of all I wanted to see if it was possible. If this was not the case, I would probably return it due to harder aftermarket sale. Secondly I didn't want the hassle when using things like Bank ID etc, and yes I know there is a lot of working mods and what not, but again if I sell the phone, the other person might not be into modding etc, so all in all a mix of ease of use and safety from my side.
Another Vodafone ROM...

Hi @Fredoski!
Thanks for your reply. Are you from Brazil? I"m from Rio.
I bought a Mi 9 yesterday and find the same situation.
Can you help me? I have some questions:
1- Where can I download the tools to do the flash operation? It's the same MiFlash used to unlock the device (miflash_unlock-en-3.5.1108.44.zip). Have long time ago I used to do this kind of thing on my smartphones. :silly:
2- If I understand well, you flash the MIUI 11 on top of the MIUI 10 Vodafone, is that corect? The ROMs on MIUI ROM page are "fastboot" ROMs? Could I use this to flash the smartphone?
3- Any others complains about? I can't brick my smartphone on the process!
I'm glad if you or others members could help me!
Thanks!
Done!
I already made the ROM flash to EEA ROM. Thanks!
Hi,
I wanted to ask how it is with the warranty.
Do I still have warranty if I go from the MIUI 11.0.10.0 (QJBEUVF) to the MIUI 12.0.1.0 (QJBEUXM).
I would be very thankful if I could get an answer.
Like you did it with MIUI 10 Vodafone to MIUI 11 Global EU
Hello,
I'm in Portugal and I bought a Mi Note 10 Lite carrier free but with a Vodafone Rom... Weird...
Can you please tell me steps to remove this Rom and install Miui 12 Global?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Pedro
I just received the update to the MIUI Global 13.0.3.
After finishing the Update everything works well except to the Volume control.
The buttons and screen are working, but the volume of the hardware its not reflecting the adjustment and is locked to the maximum.
Is this a knowing Bug?
I also have the same problem after updating my phone to MIUI 13. The only solution I can do is to use the "adjust media sound in multiple apps" feature in sound assistant. This latest update is just full of bugs and I should just downgrade my phone back to MIUI 12.5
Same issue here
Same here.
Anyone with a fix for no audio in calls?

If you want to flash (install) another rom on your phone you need to get it to fastboot, you can find instructions on how.
Download the FASTBOOT rom (there are recovery and fastboot options), in this case indian one (https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/camellia/).
Extract it and (while your phone is connected to your pc via usb and in fastboot mode) run "flash_all.bat" in windows or "flash_all.sh" in linux, in administrator mode or sudo.
Wait to complete and voilá.

This is not yet a problem, the deployments are done gradually by country and region.
Sometimes for obscure reasons some receive nothing after several months, sometimes a factory reset solves the problem but sometimes unlocking the bootloader is necessary.

You can try to change region and try with a Wifi connection.

Is the rom global or EEA or other?
I found a YouTube video maybe helps. It's for another device but maybe helps
Consist using a old version of miui and the new version.
Check with the updater the Old version and if he offers to install don't click anything . Copy the file name of the Old version , rename the Old version and put the copied filename to the new version.
Don't know if this helps . Look to the YouTube video explain.
Hope this helps

EEA
Same issue on my EEA 11T Pro. I've never received an update thru OTA. 14.0.5.0 update won't install manually, and I will not unlock a bootloader (and lose all my stuff) for that.
Also considering all the issue people had, I'm going to wait anyways.

If anybody read this, DO NOT USE THIS process. It hard briks the phone. It only works in old miui versions.
I know it because i saw it and in the comments of that video says it.
I've been searching for methods to update my phone since the first day Miui 14 was released.
