Does anyone have the links to a simple step be step guide to unlocking a I-9305 which is locked to EE on the UK market?
I've done a lot of searching and its a huge minefield of information.
Any help would be appreciated.
Come on guys, someone must have an opinion.
Also has anyone had any issues backing up their IMEI using the qualcomm software.
I get errors when I try to backup.

I did mine ages ago I remember i had to downgrade firmware to 4.1.1 first then go into samsung phone settings and change a setting. It was pretty easy theres a few good guides online
Here you have one,mate:http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help-i9305/noob-help-custom-rom-unlocking-t2782118
Just do it!
Hi guys, I'm trying to unlock my S3 Mini and I'm having no luck so far. I've managed to root the phone using the iRoot (former Vroot) program and it worked nicely. At least it seems it did, now it does ask me to give su eprmissions to allpications and busybox is installed.
As for the unlocking itself, I tried several methods. Firstly, there was some service menu, accessible by a long string of numbers on the dialer, then going to network lock menu and setting something there, but the menu isn't there. Or better said, when I come to the Network Lock, it says only Not Active and no further options available. Then I tried the GalaxSim Unlock just to see, but as it said in the notes, this version of phone is not supported and so it didn't work. Same with another app, Galaxy S Unlock, or something like that. That one needs busybox, so I installed the 1.22 I think, but it says that there is a problem with busybox or something. It does say in the notes, that recommended is 1.17 busybox, so I keep that as a backup hope but it seems again, that the phone is not supported...
So basically, I have a rooted S3 Mini, that is still locked to T-mobile. I'm not sure, whether the country of origin matters here, but I think it was purchased in Austria (I am not the first owner) and need to unlock it for slovak O2. So far I am actually very happy with it's stock ROM, so I'm not planning to flash it completely, just sim unlock. So if anyone has any idea, what I can do to avoid going to a phone service and have it done for money, I'd appreciate it.

Seriously noone has any idea how to unlock one of these machines? I've seen so many people talking about unlocking this and none of the methods mentioned worked. So please, pretty please, if you have any info on this, share it...

As i know, there are no any paid/free solutions of this problem. You erase HTC_MODEM_KEY, and its unique for each Qualcomm CPU.
I think, that only way to fix it for now - make a patch, that disables this key check.
how do i make this patch?
can you help me or give me a step-by-step procedure of doing this?

There is no procedure or step by step for this. When you have bricked your phone, you have erased/corrupted the partition on the emmc where your modem key was stored (key is unique for each device). There is no method to rebuilt this key but others have suggested to find a way to bypass the key verification so the modem would operate correctly. Afaik, no one ever worked on that for the M7 and unless you are a dev (or know one that can help you) I honestly think you shouldn't waste your time on this and buy another phone.
Sorry.
Here are some other threads with the same issue, still not solved...

What about the Soff unlock method?
is there any way we can get some developers to find a way of bypassing the key verification?
since a lot of people have the same problem, can't we motivate them to do it?
I'm a student, I had to save up to buy this phone and the person I bought it from didn't tell me that the issue with the phone can almost not be fixed.
please help, I can't just throw the phone away

There is not much ppl having the same problem, yes its a known issue but this does not happen often here in the M7 forum. So the "lot of people" argument will probably not motivate anyone to work on this problem and develop a patch if its even possible (idk im not a dev). All info I have about this problem, I heard from those guys at MobileTechVideos when they posted here in the forum so better to ask them directly if there is any progress on this or if they know a dev that would be able to check that.

I hope you didn't pay to much for this phone, you can have a new one for a little less than 300$ online. Is returning the phone to the seller an option?

Download this firmware and then flash it with Odin and you'll be back on 8.0.. It seems to me that the phone is carrier locked and either hasn't been paid off fully or something.. The 8.0 firmware is here.. https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397940842

No it will not do that. You need to purchase an unlock code from a retailer online that sells unlock codes.. If the phones not been paid off the IMEI will be blacklisted..

Ok, I just paid 10 bucks on eBay for someone to unlock it. Hopefully it's permanent. I was pretty skeptical but it appears to be working now. Hopefully it will stay working. If So, 10 bucks well spent.

there are no legal methods of doing this and XDA does not support nor allow discussions of this sort to occur. It is already known that there are 3rd party sites who offer services to remove sim card locks, lease locks and blacklist removal, but further discussing those things here is forbidden.
I have found a solution to my issue and have fixed my phone , my apologies for not better info but the phone was not a sprint phone and was never used with sprint it was paid for in full from Best Buy . Com and was simply a screw up somewhere on there end but I have solved my issue via U1 firmware and am happy to report my phone is 100% usable

I also have the same problem. I've gotten past the FRP on other phones in the past. It seems once I find a way to access a browser I figure out the rest. I've tried everything I know of and spent quite a bit of time online looking for answers to no avail. Any help would be awesome.
