Question Google Pay trouble with Global ROM - Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

I purchased a Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra from a Canadian supplier with a professionally installed Global ROM. It was set for New York City, USA, when I powered it up. The only Google function I'm having trouble with is Google Pay. When I put in a payment method (I tried a credit card and PayPal), it tells me I can't use it to buy things in a store because it may be rooted or otherwise hacked and is a security risk. Of course, my supplier says I'm the only person who's had this problem.
Did the professional installation of the Global ROM leave a trace of rooting or hacking? Since this was originally a Chinese phone, is there some trace of that gumming up the works?
I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions to figure this out.

yes i were also facing this kind of issue but now solved luckily

as i know, Google pay will not support for unlocked bootloader phone.
And yours is a China 11 ultra, unlocked bootloader and flash global rom. So the phone is unlocked.
I heard somebody said that only method is root your phone using magisk and then turn on magisk hide

Thank you for responding. This is good information.

Check with safetynet test in app store
If your phone doesn't pass it, so it maybe rooted or unlocked

Checked, all is fine. I also checked in Developer options - Mi Unlock status.

Well, Google Pay works on my 10 ultra with xiaomi.eu firmware on a CN version with an unlocked bootloader, and they say it works on the Mi 11 Ultra too.

Just bought Mi 9 Lite and I have some questions

Everytime I have had an android smartphone, I unlocked and rooted straight away. I know what benefits unlocking the bootloader and rooting the ROM bring to the whole experience of using the smartphone but I have never actually looked or thought about the negative effects of unlocking and rooting.
I just received my Mi 9 Lite last night and I am just about the unlock its bootloader and get Magisk flashed. But before I do that, I am interested in people's opinion about what they think of rooting their phone.
- Can I root the stock ROM without unlocking the bootloader? I have heard this is possible but no idea how! If yes, does it have any limitations or is it the same as rooting after unlocking the bootloader?
- Does anyone have any other valid reason for not unlocking their device except warranty and maybe system updates? They always warn you about security, system updates and finger print sensors not working etc... is this true?
About the system updates, usually Xiaomi publishes the flashable ROM on their website which I can download and flash it manually so I don't have to worry about missing out on ROM updates.
Warranty wise, I am not too concerned either.
Security wise, I don't think this is an issue too as I always know what I would be flashing and installing on my phone.
Thank you.
I used some rooted device before . Don't no what you need, but, with this phone WITH NO ROOT, it's possible to uninstall or freeze some app, using blokada, you can stop/ block many thing.... and keep a clean and fresh device, with no mod, like out of the box ; )
I'm also getting this phone, can anyone from Europe confirm if Mi 9 Lite supports Carrier Aggregation? (LTE+)

Welp. I tried unlocking yesterday and I got the message saying I need to wait 168 hours. Damn.
One reason to maybe not root/unlock is it can stop NFC payments being made?
Just got my phone and i'm super impressed so far (especially by screen), the performance is surprisingly good aswell. Now waiting 168h for bootloader unlock..

Question Vodafone Redmi Note 10 5G unlocking

I have just got Vodafone Redmi Note 10 5G that currently has these:
Model M2103K1
MIUI Global 12.0.5Stable 12.0.5.0(RKSEUV
Octa-core MAX2.2G
Android 11 RP1A.200720.0

Baseband version MOLY.NR15.R2.MP.V4.3.P46
Kernel version 4.14.186-perf-g5799a62cc17b
Now I want to use the Xiaomi stock dialler instead of the Google Dialer. I believe for that it needs to use EEA rom.
I also read somewhere that there is a 168 hour wait, but not sure what it is.
Can someone guide me through please?
Thank you

You don't need to reflash. There is a Magisk module, which installs stock dialer and sms alongside Google ones. If recording doesn't work - install the APK

You need to wait for bootloader to unlock (Data will be erased btw, Google policy) and install Magisk (instruction on XDA). And then just install this module in magisk app. Ez asf

Unfortunately I don't see the Second Space option under Special Features. I went with ID rom as Xiaomi Dialler works in it, but so many other limitations. I wished they documented what feature is enabled in what version so we could pick right ROM.

Question Google Pay bypasses Lockscreen?!

Hi there!
I have a Xiaomi Mi11 an use the Gpay App. The problem is that I dont have to unlock the screen to pay.
Is there a way to disable this behavior? Or to disable NFC while locked? Otherwise you shouldnt use xiaomi smartphones to pay.
Thanks in advance!
Usually that shouldn't work. I'll check this out on my next purchase.
Which ROM do you have on it? I use xiaomi.eu weekly beta.
I have the official MIUI 12.5.7 EU.
It asks for my fingerprint if I pay while my Mi 11 is locked I think.
EEA ROM latest version
Hmmn I heared that gpay only asks for fingerprint when the money exceeds a certain sum...

Question Should I go with rooting of Mi 11 Ultra?

I'm from India and have been using the Mi 11 Ultra v13.0.5.0 (SKAINXM) since November 2021. However, I'm disappointed to learn that the MiUI14 update is not yet available for the Mi 11 Ultra (STAR) in India.
I understand that rooting a phone has many advantages, but I'm unsure whether or not to root my Mi 11 Ultra. Could you please suggest some Magisk Modules and APKs that can help me get the most out of rooting my device, including improving the performance of the Stock Mi-Camera and Leica Camera for rooted phones?
I've already submitted a request to Xiaomi to unlock my bootloader, and timeline of 168Hrs has passed.
I would appreciate any advice you could offer.
You can use Miflash and install a stock MIUI14 version or a Xiaomi EU rom(better than stock)Stable or Weekly.

These roms are stock based and do not add or remove bands.
I recommend a Weekly rom (latest Xiaomi features. updated every week).
Hybrid rom, installable with TWRP or with a PC.
The first installation requires formatting the data with the TWRP or using the First install.bat file included in the folder extracted from the zip.
Back up your data before. (MIcloud for example).
Then the updates will be done either with OTA+TWRP or the Update.bat file with a PC.

I rooted by MI 11 ultra but unfortunately PayTM & BHIM UPI banking apps are not working anymore even after tagging them on Magisk. I don't have any other wayout except unroot my phone. I am presently v13.0.5.0 SKAINXM flahsed patched boot.img through Magistk in fastboot mode.
I want to know how to unroot the mobile so that I can use banking apps. I have factory reset by phone but that didn't changed anything and my banking apps still showing rooted phone.
Kindly help.
Unroot with Magisk then delete Magisk and the Magisk folder(s).
If the bootloader remains unlocked, banking apps may not work.

Xiaomi Eu rom remains the best alternative.
Here you can see how to bypass Safety Net with Magisk. No need to unroot because it may not solve the problem.
SafetyNet is deprecated!
Wallet and other apps (particularly Google apps) use Play Integrity API, make sure to pass BASIC_INTEGRITY and DEVICE_INTEGRITY
There are threads with instructions and everything on XDA
---
Playstore, Settings, About, tap several times on the version number until you become developer
Then go to Settings, General, newly unleashed Developer options, Play Integrity - Check Integrity
Thanks a lot dear friends for your suggestions.
