Thank you for that. I was stuck on 3G with the ROM Moto Experience+ after a battle to solve the lost of IMEI e another battle to install TWRP. With everything solved, the phone was stuck on 3G and thanks to your solution I was able to connect on LTE again.

not sure what you did at all because all the phones are rooted the same way.
i would download the 4.2.2 firmware here
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/download.php?device=0&file=18
then go to this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2603358
and follow the guide for returning to stock.
then after you are stock decide if you want to unlock your bootloader or not. then pick the guide based on what you decide and follow it for root

it says sprint for network then com.android.phone force closes. then it switches to searching for service. it say no signal strength and mobile network type is unknown. but it seriosuly force closes ever 2 seconds.

if it keeps force closing then you are not returning the phone to stock. because if you did that would not happen.
so i need you to explain to me what you are using when returning your phone to stock because it is not taking for some reason.

so what your now telling me 3-4 post later is that you did not listen to me at all so you asked for help and when i gave you the correct answer on what to do you did not listen.
so i will try this one more time the 4.4 firmware package you keep using from the Moto x toolkit is not the Sprint firmware so STOP using it and download the firmware from the link below. and flash it with the above commands like i told you to do in my first post

yeah I've tried it about ten times now and i think theres something else from the verizon root that mustve gotten flashed and is causing this
Well you have to flash the NON-HLOS.bin or it is not going to work.
Why not just download the full Sprint firmware file(I believe you've already done this) download rsdlite, remove the var line from the xml, and with one click your phone will work fine again.

Thank you so much! I was wondering what kept causing rsd lite to fail. Im lead technician at a spring store and could just AE it but really dont want a refurb, especially since this phone is two days old

ive got it figured out thank you for your help
Hi, can anyone tell me how to update the modem to the latest version?
I'm on pure edition 1095 unlocked, twrp, custom 511 rom. I've searched all over and cannot find a clear guide on how to do it.
Thank you in advance!

Download the full firmware of the 5.1 Pure edition then extract the files
NON-HLOS.bin and FSH.mbn the go to fast boot and type:
mfastboot erase modemst1 mfastboot erase modemst2 mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn mfastboot reboot
Done. You have the last modem of the 5.1 pure edition.
Now you've confused me because I found different code and steps on moto website and xda
Code:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn

Is the same just different order. The erase command don't erase the NON-HLOS.bin but the stats and configuration or the modem.
Flashing before of after the new modem over the old makes no difference unless you don't erase modemst1 and st2.
mfastboot is the "same" fast boot just a command special designed to Motorola devices.
I followed the instructions and got unknown baseband and blank imei. I restored the efs from backup and got the imei back, the baseband version is newer. I thought the efs restore would change it back to the original?

ok, maybe is because the 5.1.1 custom you are using is not compatible with the modem you are trying to flash. And it is "normal" if you lose signal and IMEI after, that happened to me when I flashed the 5.0 modem over a 4.4.4, the solution is simple, just flash back your original modem and your IMEI/baseband will be restored.
Device: XT1056 .
ROM: Resurrection Remix v5.5.2 [UBER-4.9][GRAPHITE][-O3][24/7/15]
Tried to fix gps by typing following command in fastboot mode:
Code:
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
Now I am getting no sim card alert.
Have I lost my unlock or what?
If so, how to unlock custom rom? I cannot enter diag mode.

I think the step should be:
mfastboot.exe flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot.exe erase modemst1
mfastboot.exe erase modemst2
pause
mfastboot.exe reboot
I did that to fix my GPS when I have GPS probrom after I flash CM12
Problem solved, I had to downgrade to stock 4.4.2 with modem using CWM, get my SPC. Then unlock and get back to my custom rom.
The funny thing gps is still not working properly
I have a Sprint Moto X (2013) with CM 12 and it can't get a GPS lock either. I've tried replacing the gpf.conf file, I've tried reflashing NON-HLOS and clearing modemst1/2... nothing works. GPS Status doesn't help, GPS Locker doesn't help, and a GPS NMEA logger reports no data at all from the GPS.
I've given up and I'm reflashing the stock ROM, which unfortunately is 4.4.4.
My phone has not been able to recieve MMS mesages or go online without wifi, it can recieve sms messages though. I talked to my carrier (AT&T) and we tried various access points which heeded no results. I'm running CM13. This started about a week ago, randomly, not after any updates or mods. Please do your best to help me, thanks in advance.

You're welcome, it's no trouble at all, glad you got it working
so i have flashed a cm14.1 rom and my sim is getting detected but no services. when i try to manually search it says error while searching for networks . also i did flashing modems
"fsg.mbn
NON-HLOS.bin
If you already flashed the wrong modem files, just reboot to BootLoader and flash these files using the following commands:
Code:
mfastboot.exe flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot.exe flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot.exe reboot"
this also didnt work for me. help please
I don't face the problem you mention. Maybe you should do a clean install of the rom before anything else.

Had this problem once. But reflash with other rom solve this problem for me. There is other method. You may try - backup and reset > network setting reset and factory reset . Do this after logged in to your Google account.
