I have a Xiaomi Redmi 4x global Version, but the beta on this Website is a China Beta. Is it possible to install it on my global device?
I mean via TWRP
Yes.
Unlock Bootloader and Flash China MIUI ROM via the Xiaomi Flash tool.
But keep in mind that the China ROM does not have Google play Store.
Yes, you can install. just make sure to backup and make clean flash.
Thank you, for helpfull answers.
We are not getting it until end if July so dont worry about it
when we will get update without flashing ?
Hi guys,
My friend bought a Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition from China for me and I would like to flash a Global ROM on it. I don't need root or TWRP, so I presume I don't need to unlock the bootloader.
The current Chinese ROM installed on the phone is v10.4.4, but the latest stable Global is v10.3.5. Would flashing v10.3.5 Global brick the phone?
And would flashing the MI 9T Global ROM work as well, considering it's essentially the same phone?

afaik u must unlock bootloader to install other rom than k20 pro premium rom itself.
k20 pro premium is only available in china, so any global rom means it doesn't build specifically for pro premium.
The only official rom for k20 premium is Chinese ROM, all Global rom is modified version of K20 Pro/Mi 9t Pro.

Thanks for your reply.
I wasn't thinking of installing custom roms, I was referring to official stock ROMs. Apparently, you can just install the latest K20 Pro Indian Stable on the Premium Edition:
https://c.mi.com/thread-2541738-1-1.html
Would that work?

You will need to unlock the bootloader.
To flash an official ROM, but for a different region that the phone is from then you need to unlock the bootloader in order to flash a fastboot ROM.
It is not possible to flash a fastboot ROM without unlocking the bootloader

should work, but even fastboot flash using miflash need to unlock bootloader first(?).
yup sorry, I forgot you still need to unlock bootloader for fastboot to work. I know what to do now, thanks everyone!
also if flashing different region rom, never relock bootloader again, even if it was official rom.
Yup, I read that it'll brick your device if you select clean data and lock bootloader. Have noted this and thanks again for the confirmation / reminder.
You will need to unlock for sure.
It doesn't work like that
Maybe flash xiaomieu rom if u want full experience
OK, waited 168 hours and have unlocked successfully today. When I tried to flash via MiFlash, it says "mismatch image and device". I'm sure I read that the Redmi K20 PRO India fastboot ROM will work on a K20 PRO Premium Edition, so not sure why I can't flash it...
I also found a Android 9.0 fastboot ROM for K20 Premium here:
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/raphaels/
My phone is already on Android 10 MIUI 11. Will flashing an older version brick the device? I read somewhere ages ago that Android or MIUI doesn't allow downgrade?

There is no anti-rollback protection for this phone (I assume this is also true for premium edition), so you should be OK to flash an earlier Android 9 ROM.

Thanks! I can also confirm that there is no ABP, as I've verified it using this guide here:
https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-anti-rollback-protection-brick-phone/
I was able to flash the fastboot ROM, but turns out it's just an Chinese stable, not Global or India Global rom. I don't know why I can't fastboot flash the Global ROM though. The Chinese fastboot ROM has the name "PFKCNXM" in it. So I'm guessing that if I find a fastboot ROM that is similar to that, it should work. I'm currently testing out the following:
- PFKMIXM
- PFKINXM
Download links here:
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/raphael/
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/raphaelin/
Neither QFKMIXM or QFKINXM worked for me, so I hope one of the above will work.
update: got this working. I first flashed this:
raphaelin_in_global_images_V10.3.5.0.PFKINXM_20190816.0000.00_9.0_in
And now I can flash both QFKMIXM (9.0) or QFKINXM (10.0)
As someone mentioned in a previous reply, NFC is missing in the Global ROM. I also noticed that the mobile signal strength is lower as well and that the Dual GPS is missing too.
Would flashing the China radio/baseband fix this? I know for phones like Samsung, you can flash the CP firmware, which includes the modem/baseband firmware. I don't know what the process is to extract the firmware from the China ROM and flash it. I guess if there's a .zip file that we can flash via TWRP, then that will work?
UPDATE:
OK, have flashed TWRP and flashed the firmware that I downloaded from here:
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware
Tried both the Chinese firmware and the Global firmware. Didn't really make much difference. I had -97 dBm and now I'm on -95 dBm. The lower, the better/stronger the signal. It is an improvement, but not by much....
My CC9 is currently on Stock MIUI 12.0.2.0 stable (QFCCNXM)
Android version: 10
I checked ARB via fastboot commant and got "anti:1"
My question is .... "is there any way to flash Android 10 based EU custom rom running MIUI 11.0.3.0 ?"
That means I want to downgrade from stock miui 12 (Android 10) to custom miui 11 (based on Android 10) or custom miui 11 (based on Android 9)
via TWRP.
Is this will cause hard brick?
Please, someone clear this confusion...
Hi.
Read this article: https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-anti-rollback-protection-brick-phone/
You can safely downgrade the firmware version on this device.

Thanks for the response. I know how ARB works in switching official miui.
We can check the antiroll back index from fastboot rom image (from bat file) but since I want to move from an official miui12 to a custom xiaomi.eu miui11 so how can I check that xiaomi.eu rom's ARB index? because custom roms are recovery rom to to be flashed from within twrp. Is there a way to check ARB index of an recovery rom?
This is where I got confused that switching from official miui to a custom miui will still get affected by ARB or not...
How do I revert back to Redmi K20 Pro stock rom? Currently on xiaomi.eu 11.0.5
This phone is from China stock; 8gb/256gb; Model: M1903F11A
I have unlocked it, and flashed xiaomi.eu 11.0.5
I would like to flash it to Redmi K20 Pro stock rom and lock it; because I want automated upgrades without the risk of wiping my phone and google apps are available in the original rom too.
Wrong place.
Please post your question here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/help

Get the latest Chinese fastboot ROM from here
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/raphael/
You want the Redmi K20 Pro China Stable Fastboot ROM.
Use this guide to flash it.
https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=2
You need to view this page in desktop mode, if using a mobile browser.
In step 5, leave the flash option at the bottom of the Mi Flash Tool as the default 'clean all and lock'.
You must make sure you only do this with a Chinese ROM. You cannot lock the bootloader with any other region ROM on a Chinese model, otherwise you will hard brick the phone.

So long as you've got the Google services working on the Chinese ROM, then it should pass SafetyNet, which is part of the banking app checks. From what I can remember, Google services are installed on the Chinese ROM, you just need to enable them and the Play Store - though things might have changed in the 18 months since I was last forced to use the Chinese ROM.
Hello.
Good day to everyone.
I got the mi 11 ultra Chinese version and I flashed the MIUI 13. Before it had global stable 12.5. (i bought it with that rom preinstalled and unlocked).
I installed the MIUI 13 china because I use Google pay and I wanted a locked rom but i Iive in Europe so Its very frustrating to set up the Chinese version. I want a phone for everyday use but i didn't know that It was china version and I couldn't use Google pay when I bought it.
The phone is Chinese MIUI 13 locked totally as stock.
I want to unlock and go back to MIUI 12 either on global or eea rom. Which one u suggest. I read about Xiaomi eu rom but I don't want to mess up with my phone Everytime I have to update it except if Xiaomi eu rom update itself like global or eea rom.
What u think?
And how to do it?
unlock bootloader then flash xiaomi.eu stable version (miui 13) , you can search and follow instructions on xiaomi.eu
Very stable for me
