Have new G1, need help with language?

I've bought a new G1 with details below:

CPLD-4

Model: T-mobile G1(Black)
Firmware version: 1.6
baseband version: 62.50SC.20.17H_2.22.23.02
kernel: 2.6.29-00479-g3c7df37
build number: DMD64
Anyone can explain these information for me? i'm just a novice in this area. thanks.
P/s: what is SD card level 4? and what is level 6? what is the difference?
i have just rooted my G1 successfully with z4Root and Superoneclick, but i really don't know where to begin my rom update? which rom is stable? and how to prevent from being bricked? Is there really a software way to unbrick g1?

[Q] Security Unlocked - Custom Roms Question

I also just recently got an HTC HD7 (TMOUS) with the following info:

Radio hardware version: A.12.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.12.2250.0(135916)

Bootloader screen says
Security Unlocked

I'm fairly new to custom roms/flashing and would like to ask if I can flash any custom roms with the Security unlocked bootloader or do I still need to downgrade my SPL as to avoid bricking the phone.

you still require downgrading OSPL in order to XSPL your device.

how to RSPL/HSPL HD7 with 1.57.2258

Hello everyone!
Today I Downgrade my spl from 5.11 to 1.57
But now there is new problem, I tryd to make RSPL first, but whene i Launchd program I cant find 1.57, I tryd with 1.56 and everthing was fine Program as done and there was me message (your phone is now RSPL you can do HSPL) but my HTC HD7 didnt reboot...
Here is my Bootloader:
PD29100 MFG S-BC (4K)
SPL-1.57.2250.0(113571)
MicroP(LED) 0x07
TOUCH S1(v1.8,#1324)
Green:
SD SANDISK 7580MB Class0
Partition Info-v211v413

You are doing it fine!! when the phone reboots, you install the custom rom.
Just use the nearest number, up or down.

You must SEARCH the forums, the only answer is downgrade the ROM and install a Custom ROM, search and read carefully the instructions...
