INSTALLATION STEPS :
-trough TWRP 64 bit recovery recovery (last release please!)
- wipe cache and dalvik and reboot
- wipe system
- factory reset
- flash rom and then gapps
Because the gapps is not included, after installing ROM you can install the desired gapps (pico, nano, mini...etc) only 64 bit latest

If you need MTP or adb debug,please turn off then turn on adb debug in development option once.

Try restart Twrp OrangeFox. If not, try re-install twrp Orangefox. Check your OTG cable or connector, comparing when not using twrp. I always using OTG, it works.
I tried all, I have a pendriver otg and this only works with red wolf...

Try using OrangeFox 8.3. Try using other OTG media.
There's a newer version in there official website. Its working great. IT'S the best recovery. It works with treble, non-treble, miui. All in one. Good work ?

I installed the new version then installed the classic theme but when I rebooted to recovery nothing has changed still the new theme, which is kind of confusing.
I backup internal storage on sdcard. Do clear&wipe anything, change rom and restore internal storage successfull, but everything file in the internal storage is lost, like photo and video. Can help me get my file on internal storage back? I still save my backup data, the size 8gb.

Edit2: I've tried it out and can confirm that the above link works for Redmi 4a! I've used fastboot boot recovery.img on PC to try the recovery out before flashing, then proceeded with flashing the zip.

I thought you found a fix for decryption on MIUI ROMs, but sad it's still not fixed.

INSTALLATION:
0. Backup your ROM, your data, your internal storage, and your settings/apps, to an External storage medium [OPTIONAL]
1. Download the OrangeFox zip file to your device
2. Reboot to your Custom Recovery
3. Flash the OrangeFox zip file as a normal zip
4. The device will automatically reboot into OrangeFox recovery after installation (allow this to happen)
5. Enjoy!

Hi, I would like to know if it is correct to install orange fox through twrp, and if not what might happen if it is installed through twrp, I would also like to know if you have a problem installing orangefox with a custom rom on the device, you need a stock ?

I accidentally installed orange fox on my device via twrp, but now my phone just turns on up to the manufacturer's logo and turns off immediately, I can still go into bootloader and recovery mode normally, but all the roms I install, whatever custom or stock, my device just starts up to the logo and shuts down, I know I could post just about that, but I need feedback from a developer, or someone who understands, please reply and I'm sorry for the bother.

Try to flash the latest Stockrom with MiFlash. After this you have to flash your recovery again.
