Been trying for an hour. So far so good for my backup phone (no SIM). Thanks for bringing Android 12 to Mi A1.
I've been doing basic stuff on this ROM for the past hour and yeah, this ROM is super smooth and good looking. Surreal that the Mi A1 has Android 12 in such a good working condition already.
A few stuff doesn't work , however, as far as I've tested:
- Gesture Navigation (Back Gesture doesn't work, swipe to go home does)
- Hardware Keys don't light up.
- Chrome was super laggy in the start, but works fine
good job men

That's normal in Android 12. It tells you if an app uses your location or camera.
Please advise steps to follow for flashing this ROM,
Volte is Broken...network auto reset after 5-10 sec when you are using dual sim with same operator like as Vodafone - Vodafone.

Even when VoLTE is disabled and not using the same operator for dual sims, network automatically resets every 5 seconds. I tried removing one of the sims and it still keeps happening.
P.S : Okay reset network settings and restart the phone to fix this (Sometimes this workaround solves the problem, specially when using a single sim). Hopefully @abhinavgupta371 will release an update with a fix asap.

Every time you flash the custom ROM you have to flash TWRP again before restart. Because the custom ROM after flashed it changes recovery partition.

Yeah I did flash TWRP. The problem is it is stuck on TWRP's splash screen. Won't boot into it.

nice work! CarbonROM has always been one of my favorite custom ROMs and it's great to see someone has built a Q version of it for Mi A1.
Having tested it, there are a couple of issues though:
1. The hardware buttons back light are not turned on.
2. Sometimes I have to flick all the way up to unlock the screen. I understand that's how it is in vanilla AOSP, but it would be nice to have it fixed like in LOS.

For the first issue it's the problem with the ROM source I have told them about it hopefully will get a fix. The second issue I been issue I have been experiencing it with other ROMs though...I think it's normal...

I managed to solve mine...It seems like your APN (Access Point Name) is empty you have to add that manually
it can be because while building you haven't selected common_full_phone.mk
(in your device tree .mk file)
the one it calls from vendor i.e
$(call inherit-product, vendor/carbon/config/common_full_phone.mk)
(might you have selected small package that resulted this ) that config is for tablets or mini phones who don't have sim card support
good luck ?

I'm still finding a solution for button backlight but the lock screen bug doesn't appear in my device though
doperthancoke said:
It's not really a bug, it's actually a feature that backfired. Basically in other ROMs I just have to swipe up very gently for the screen to unlock, but for this one, I have to swipe all the way up (otherwise it just bounces back to the bottom of the screen).
It's mentioned here in the article:
https://www.xda-developers.com/fix-lock-screen-swipe-gesture-issues-android-81-oreo/amp/
Turning a flag off before you compile the ROM basically fixes it.

Bruh... Just let it go. Official means nothing to us end users. For devs official means they would've to dedicate themselves to that one ROM, become part of the official PE site and dev group and keep it updating even if they don't really want to. I think it means responsibility. So don't keep asking 'official when!?' for a dev is dedicated enough towards one ROM will take on official too. If not they won't.

Hey there. Tested out the other PE version here on XDA, but that bootlooped after 2 weeks of usage (apparently a problem with most custom OSes). Does this fix the bootloop issue? Havoc OS recently pushed a patch that fixes said problem

I didn't mean to be rude. Just as to know why there are two threads for the same rom.
I'll be more than happy to have any roms having no bugs at all and be unofficial rather than having bugs and be official. Peace :good:
Nice! tho fingerprint hardware becomes unavailable at times, and TWRP can read the internal memory as it becomes encrypted

Yes you can!
1. Unlock bootloader.
2. Flash recovery over fastboot mode.
3. Download rom and copy it into sdcard (not internal memory).
4. Put your device into recovery mode.
5. Flash rom from sdcard
6. Format data (factory reset).
7. Come back fastboot mode and flash vbmeta.img
8. Reboot system.
So that's, you didn't need to root your mobile.

Yes, that's right. I think this rom is the best from custom roms.
How does user update OTA with this Custom ROM if the new version is available? Must flash again and cannot do it through the phone directly?
Thanks for your detailed guide! One last request tho where can I find a compatible vbmeta.img that I can flash to avoid recovery destroyed error.
one question: how can I upgrade to this version from the previous PE such like the 17/01/2020 version by @BabluS?
@Orgasmtrron
There is this double tap to wake bug in this rom. No matter how your toggle is selected to in the settings, the Tap to Wake feature is always on. This is leading to battery drain too.
Another, can the wifi fix be incorporated? The wifi will not reconnect after switching it off, even though I have activated the option of wifi scanning and set the location to on. It still wouldn't reconnect automatically. You always have to manually turn the wifi on.
Thanks.

my questions to those testers who have tested the current official version(PixelExperience_RMX1971-10.0-20200227-0250-OFFICIAL.zip)
1) anyone tried gcam with all 4 back cameras (including macro and wide cameras) work in this rom ?
2) which version of gcam is stable for this rom?
3) is auto call recording feature available?
So far the rom is so stable, but the ram management is bad, I barely can't open 4 apps together and they load many of the times.

Does this automatically default to the current boot partition? I think there is no recovery partition. Wouldn't it be enough to fastboot boot the recovery, so the current kernel is not overwritten? (second partition set can remain unchanged as backup)

Very nice Rom, installed it and it works. One thing I couldn't find is an option to switch to 90Hz? Is it possible to get it to 90Hz?
EDIT: Found a way " adb shell settings put system min_refresh_rate 90.0 " does the job.
Nice Rom, keep up the good work. Thank you a lot!
Finally we are gifted with the boon of roms for this phone. Praise be!
But for real though thank you so much.
If've tesed the Rom a little bit, two things, first the Statusbar is a little bit to high and scrolling is a little bit stuttery (maybe something to do with scrolling cache?).
Other than that very smooth and stable rom.

Both and a lot more will be fixed in the next update. Meanwhile the refresh rate is set to 60hz hence your phone feels stuttery. That can be fixed with the following adb command: adb shell settings put system min_refresh_rate 90.0

Hello Sir, I bought the OnePlus NORD N10 5G phone last week and wanted to use it for direct streaming with my new Hearing AIds. In the System/Accessibility menu, i ticked Hearing Aids Compatibility and paired my hearing Aids devices and they showed up as connected. Alas, no sound in my aids! They still come out from the loudspeaker even if I press the volume button and change the output to Hearing Aids. I know that ASHA (Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids) works well on PIXEL 3 and 4. Is it implemented in your ROM? I don't want to void my guarantee if there is no hope that it ill work. Thanks for your answer.

As far as I know unlocking your Bootloader on a OnePlus-Phone doesn't void your guarantee.
Help pls, not sure what I am doing wrong. I have a Oneplus Nord N10 5G and have once again had to rely on the MSM Dowload Tool at billie8_14_O.01_201121 to recover the situation!
Like on all my phones of past nearly 10 yrs, rooting is the best option for me. I wonder when TWRP will be available?
I managed to install the custom recovery as above but adb sideloading the PixelExperience_billie-11.0-20210306-2121-BETA-UNOFFICIAL.zip doesn't work for me. It crashes out about halfway thru saying it was expecting to receive file for the N10, which it is.
Just to clarify this Pixel zip file is for the Build Number Oxygen OS 10.5.7 BE86AA and after?? Thanks all for any advice/pointers
Hello,
I'm an enthusiastic new Pixel 7 user.
So far there are two Roms that can be installed via the respective website.
GrapheneOS and CalyxOS.
Does anyone have any information on when the first custom roms will appear?
LineageOS is already building, as I have noticed.
grapheneOS is available and it's better than CalyxOS.
You can create a work profile to install sandboxed Google Play Services separate from your main profile. 99% of the apps will work fine (like banking apps).
There are a few custom roms out, but they are extremely "fragile".
Will probably pop up here in a few weeks.

## Corvus-OS vT5.1 | DejaVu | Changelogs for Pixel 7/7 Pro Cheetah
- November security patch
- Fingerpint works for cheetah on 1080/1440
- Stock Google face unlock
- Development options doesn't FC
- Minor fixes and improvements
- Initial official builds
Installation:
Be on November firmware
reboot to recovery (when you get to the "no command" screen, briefly hold power, tap vol up to enter stock pixel recovery)
wipe data/factory reset
reboot to bootloader
fastboot update rom.zip
Bugs:
On initial boot only- the setup wizard/boot animation. As the rom boots up for the first time, the logo bounces into the bottom of the screen for a split second. This causes no issues, just looks funny for a second.
faceunlock has a slight animation that looks kinda weird, but works perfectly fine. It is not meant for the Google Face Unlock implementation.
(removing next build)
When you attempt to get into raven launcher settings, it will close for a second, then opens within it's settings. (Only does it first launch)

I havent flashed the rom yet havent had time but I did check my baseband (went into bootloader) and mine does match with the required one. Strange, I did update mine manualy via ota download from the google website via stock recovery, Dont know if thats why mine matches, and yours does not, maybe someone else can shed some light on the subject

Mine is running Corvus now. But can't get into developer settings. When invert navbar I'm unable to touch the buttons. So going back to stock and waiting for Evo or something else.
Unofficial LineageOS 20
Check this out if your interested in lineage os! It's very new but surprisingly it runs pretty good on my pixel 7. It's a work in progress but for a first draft of a ROM for a phone just released a little over a month ago its amazing! I can't wait for the official version to come out but until then, this will be my daily!

Hi, i don't know why when adb sideload, the zip file can not be read already used a new version of ADB
The devices succesfully on recovery mode by pixel experience and has choosen for adb sideload
How to fix it?
Try using cmd
Okay, solved. Sorry for my mistake, for the first time i have used mini adb then the new version of adb. The daemon of mini adb still running and make this error. Then i restart my laptop and try again using the new adb, it works!
A great rom thanks, my nfs no limits is not laggy anymore
On the way from Xdroid to PixelExtended
this is a good rom with customizations but, i feel that it has decreased performance in my games, i use pixel experience plus in my phone and i get 31 fps on medium graphic setting, i flashed this rom and tried cod, in the same medium settings but i was getting 24fps and sometimes it used to drop without any particular reason to 6 fps, it was happening frequently and in most of the games, the performance was decreased , so im back to pixel experience plus btw i dirty flashed from pixel experience plus to pixel extended , there were no errors in any of my apps, etc, but gaming performance was decreased .
