Hi ! Nobody can help me ? Or if they had a link for root global Rom Miui 10 Pie ?
They had a tuto for mi 8 light bit nothing for mi 8
Can I unlock with a old Mi Account without waiting 2 weeks?
Relax, take your time and google everything you need, digest it first before you rush into doing something that you're not ready for.
By the time you become well informed yourself in two weeks time, then your phone will be ready to unlock.
Perfect timing.

If u interested in root, I suggest to you go to Global beta or some custom ROM based on MIUI, that just advice. Yes u need TWRP is way also without but this more practice. Flash TWRP which is posted here in Dev section this way:
fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img
fastboot boot nameofrecovery.img
in TWRP flash avian nameofrecovery.img to recovery partition
Meantime download Magisk, latest is 18 and is good, put them to internal storage and flash... "abrakadara" and u are rooted

Ok thank you very much.
Just flash magisk on beta rom no need to wipe or format. And no flash remove encryption too.
Just flash Twrp on fastboot and flash again Twrp on Twrp and flash magisk and reboot.
Great thanks. Have a good day.
Ps : I think flash dev global but factory reset before flash twrp and magisk because I had mistake after change local and use theme.

Ok thank you I had install the beta with updater App but I do to configure it on boot and install App (use mi restore) for reply to you.
I'm on beta now just flash twrp now.
I don't factory reset it just flash magisk 18 on Twrp ?
But just a presision when reboot on Twrp just reflash Twrp img (install/image/recovery) because don't understand on recovery partition ? It's because treble my last phone are an oneplus 3 and no have treble partition and more easy to flash.
And every weeks they had an update of Dev Global Rom how do update it ? Flash the full Rom on Twrp and magisk to or can update it with updater App ?
Thanks have a good day.

But I think flash Xiaomi.eu rom based on china rom. The stable Rom.eu stable.
But nobody response me on forum .eu.
I'm on global stable if I flash the Xiaomi.eu Rom it's chinese Rom and different it's right ? I do Factory reset for flash it ?
What the difference of the Twrp on dev section and twrp dipper on Xiaomi.eu ? I do use the Twrp dipper for flash this custom and do flash again Twrp on Twrp too.
I have change because the global rom for me is less good than chinese ! I had a mistake with notifications push youtube never had notifs ? But receive on YouTube but never on mi 8. I had remove all battery energized on system ! Check all notifications system and on App but never receive notifications.
Thanks have a good day

Ok thank you but MIRooms are not multi french langage and in French lot of people use Xiaomi.eu and for help is more good for me.
Ok do format data but if format data I loose encryption and don't do to flash the zip for remove it.
It's really a guys said me is better to buy a chinese version of mi 8 it's true... I have this global but no more people use it ! many people use chinese version of mi 8.
The chinese version of mi 8 are not encypted ? Thank you

Ok thank you I make the good choice.
But why if global version are better all guys use custom rom based on china version ?
I don't know if they had but I would like a custom rom based on global rom but with more option than can make 5x5 on mi launcher because with theme it crash and don't stay every day or can use different song fir App like Twitter on my oneplus use the ios Twitter song and know if is a tweat and for Google message can't have the message song work only for mi message etc etc..
For flash Xiaomi.eu you said format data but you know on Twrp chose wipe and format and data and type yes ? Or wipe data partition ? Because if format it loose encryption and when boot to rom no have mistake with DM verity ? Thanks.

Everything is given there, just read and follow install instructions:
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/9-4-18.50189/
Get TWRP 1102 or 1217 to flash the EU rom and install 1227 version once new rom is flashed but before reboot system.
That means when eu rom installation will finish, then I should reboot to fastboot instead of reboot to system? And then again flash twrp 1227?

For WEEKLY EU DEV rom installed with1102/1217 twrp:
if you reboot to system the rom will install well but you loose TWRP 1102/1217. AND you will not be able to reflash the new one because partition are modified with this new rom version ''(from 2018/12/27).
That' why you must install 1227 before rebooting in the rom system.
Either with fastboot or in recovery you are still in... install 1227 image.

I have no experience about this flashing rom. I want to follow your procedure. But one confusion. When eu rom will successfully installed, then should I go to "reboot>reboot to bootloader" in twrp? And then flash twrp 1227 with the same process of installing twrp 1102/1217?

you stay in TWRP and install "IMAGE" of 1227.
- INSTALL/ install image/find 1227.img file/select it and select RECOVERY position in order to place it well.
But if you don't do that and reboot the rom, no problem only TWRP will be missing.

FORMAT DATA /yes in WIPE
LOAD EU WEEKLY DEV ROM FLASH ZIP into phone memory

EDIT: Oh sorry. I have understood. Thanks for your help.
I am getting tired of trying EU rom now. Everytime I tried, like whatever they said here and eu forum.. I always end up in stuck to fastboot mode.. Never boot the eu rom.
first flash 9.5.11 fastboot rom, then flast twrp v1102,
in twrp formate data and wiper systems and others,
flash eu rom from otg.
thats all.

Give this method a try. I followed these steps with the help of @lolo9393
Following are the procedures that i followed to boot up Miui Eu
- Flash official 8.12.13 (Dev Fastboot Rom) through MiFlash.
- Flash TWRP 1102
- Clean Data
- Push/ Copy and Flash 8.12.20( EU Rom), it booted up finally without redirecting to Fastboot.
- Update 8.12.20 to latest available from system updater.
- Now there won't be any recovery or we aren't able to enter into available recovery even though the system boots.
- Flash TWRP 1227.
need help, I tried to flash ROM eu 9.5.23 using 9.2.16 dev ROM as the base. twrp used 1227 and after rebooting enter fastboot mode.
twrp 1102 and 1217 do not want to enter recovery only the MI display

Please help me. I can't seem to understand what exactly I need to do in order to install a custom ROM on my K20 Pro (Global 10.3.5.0.) I have tried following this (https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20...0-pro-t3953844) post thoroughly and others as well, but can't seem to exactly understand what I am required to do. Most custom ROM's state [Raphael], but as I purchased this device in India, it would most probably be [Raphaelin], after unlocking the Bootloader and installing TWRP, am I supposed to flash a Custom ROM (for ex. Lineage OS) directly or would I have to install a ROM which would make my device [Raphael]? Vendor and Firmware have gone over my head, I do not understand what I need to di. If someone could help me out, It would be mean a lot. Thank you.

If you're running stock MIUI and haven't moved to any custom MIUI's till date then you can straight away flash LOS. Moreover, most of the custom roms work on multiple vendors irrespective of whether it is a China Vendor or India or Global. It doesn't matter till the time the developer specifically asks you to be on a particular vendor.
Vendor isn't a dreaded thing. It's just the drivers needed to run the various components in the device (BT, WiFi etc). Till the time you don't wipe the vendor partion in twrp, you would always be good to go. You could carry on flashing custom roms w/o careing about the vendor.

Thank you very much for your reply. So, just to check if I have understood correctly. I can just install TWRP and then flash Lineage OS straight away, right? I checked (https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/development/rom-lineageos-16-0-t3965311), and it mentioned:
Instructions :
Download the latest build and GApps
Reboot to recovery
Flash proper vendor and firmware
Flash the latest build and GApps
Reboot
What is "proper vendor and firmware"? And would I also be required to flash this?
Thank you.

Nope ! You don't need to flash vendor + firmware as you already running an untouched stock MIUI build. That is for people who are coming from either modified MIUI builds (EU, Miroom etc) or custom roms with a different vendor (India device running on China Vendor)
Custom roms don't carry the Vendor Firmware files and you can only modify the existing Vendor when you move to other region stock or custom MIUI roms.
Back up your data on Internal storage to a safe place either on a PC or OTG. Skip this step if you have nothing important.
Boot In TWRP
Wipe System, Data , Cache , Dalvik
(Don't reboot at this point, Not Even a Recovery reboot)
Flash LOS
Flash GApps
Go to Advanced Wipe and Format Data by typing Yes
Reboot

Did you do FORMAT Data (not just Wipe) when you installed your custom ROM, and before rebooting?
TL;DR - Tried to downgrade Android 10 Xiaomi EU to Android 9 Xiaomi EU, tried wiping the device (besides storage). I can get into TWRP and Fastboot, just won't boot OS.
Detailed:
I was running the latest Android 10 Xiaomi EU Stable Rom MIUI 11 (11.0.2) and wanted to downgrade because I had a few issues.
I reinstalled the last stable Android 10 Xiaomi EU Stable Rom for MIUI 10 (10.3.17) and it ran fine. I then realized that I wanted to be back on Android 9....
I went and tried to install Android 9 Xiaomi EU Stable Rom for MIUI 10 (10.3.16) and then ran into boot looping.
So then I got into TWRP and erased all data and then tried to copy over the old update file and realized I can't copy over anything even with MTP Enabled.
All the folders in the sdcard are random letters and numbers..
So now I can't send any files over and im stuck wondering how to fix this problem and then go over to Pixel Experience.
Send help! Please!
You messed up with encryptions... Just flash Chinese fastboot rom before pixel experience... and, as always, don't forget: DO NOT lock your bootloader ..

And I would do that by downloading which version of fastboot? Any stable one that I want to run?
Also would it be through fastboot using Mi Flash Tool or something else?
Then the pixel experience would be installed just through TWRP?
Sorry, I just don't wanna mess up.

As you want to flash pixel experience, you need to flash chinese fastboot rom, because pixel experience is based on Chinese firmware. So, by flashing Chinese you will be half way. Pick last stable pie version.. I believe is 10.3.16, don't remember...
Yes. You should use miflash tool, just don't forget: you need to select "clean all" and not "clean all and lock".
Boot into miui system once.
After that just flash twrp through normal fastboot command, as you already did in the past. Then flash PE in twrp...
Remember to boot in twrp just after flash it, if you boot into device it will be replaced by stock one...

After booting into TWRP and before flashing PE, wipe cache and dalvik, then format data. Either reboot into TWRP, or unmount and mount data, then carry on with the PE flashing.

That sounds confusing..
So after flashing the chinese fastboot and starting the phone up once to confirm its working, i boot into twrp and wipe cache+dalvik, then format all data, then restart into twrp and flash pe?
Doing that is just making sure its a clean flash and not a dirty one?

You boot into MIUI once to let it finalise the installation.
Then install TWRP and immediately boot into TWRP.
When changing ROMs you should clean flash, which normally means wiping cache, dalvik and data before installing the new ROM.
In this case it's best to format data instead, otherwise you may get problems with encryption, similar to what your seeing now.
After formatting data, TWRP sometimes has a problem seeing the data partition properly, to fix this you either reboot into TWRP or go to the mount menu and unmount data, then mount it again.
After this you copy the PE ROM onto the phone and flash it.

Format the data partition in TWRP. You need to do this when installing over MIUI.

Are you booting into MIUI at least once after flashing it, before flashing anything else?
I've stopped doing the mount/unmount. I now always reboot back into TWRP after formatting data, seems more reliable.
In TWRP do a factory reset, then format data, then reboot back into TWRP.
After this install the ROM you want

Can you provide all the steps you are doing. I can't see any reason why it's not working.

Step 4 needs to be format data, not wipe data, you have to type 'yes' to confirm when you do it.

2-even need to flash miui with miflah and boot before flash custom rom in each time?

If you want to flash something else, remove lockscreen security first before flashing. This should allow you to dirty flash an update, or clean flash a new ROM, without problems. You only need to format data when flashing over MIUI.
If you get into problems and you cannot successfully get a custom ROM working, this is when you need to flash MIUI first.
You only need to flash vendor/firmware files when the custom ROM recommends/requires a version that is different to what you currently have.

The emoji's screwed up my reply. Try again.
1. Next time create a new post, don't resurrect a vaguely similar old post.
2. Restore MIUI with a fastboot ROM and try again. Use my guide here to help you install the ROM of choice.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/how-to/simple-guide-flipkart-owners-t4151007/post83329343
If you're not sure what you're doing, follow the guide exactly, do not freestyle.
1.Install any rom
2. In recovery factory reset or change data partition to ext2 and then again back to ext4
Reboot
It will boot.

Hi, I am new to K20 Pro, I have not unlocked my phone yet, I was just going through the forum, to understand all the things and how flashing is done in K20 Pro, I have a question about flashing the vendor, some ROM require it & some don’t, can anyone explain? And how do I choose the correct vendor for my device?? Where can I download the right vendor??
Thanks!

When flashing you will actually need vendor and firmware files together.
These are taken from the official MIUI fastboot ROMs. You can find them repackaged in a single flashable zip file from here.
https://downloads.akhilnarang.dev/MIUI/raphael/
Flashing one of these files in TWRP is the easiest way to go.
You can also find then repackaged as separate zip files from here
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/
This site has a much greater archive, so is good if you need an older version that you can't find in the other site. You will need to make sure you download vendor and firmware files for the same version.
You should always stick to the version that is for the region of your phone. e.g. Indian vendor and firmware for an Indian K20 Pro, etc.
Some ROMs use an OSS vendor and so this is included as part of the ROM install. In which case there is no need to flash the MIUI vendor.
When a new version of MIUI is released, vendor and firmware files might get updated, to fix a bug or to add extra functionality. In this case some custom ROM devs will include them so that they get the bug fixes or extra functionality in their ROM too. When this happens they will update the minimum vendor and firmware version requirements for their custom ROM - the version will be the actual MIUI version in which the vendor and firmware files were updated.
Where a ROM doesn't specify vendor and firmware and doesn't have an OSS vendor, then it normally implies that any version will work that is from MIUI based on the same Android version. In this case use the most recent version, which you will already have if you've kept up to date with MIUI updates.
When installing a new ROM, you will only need to flash vendor and firmware files if your current version is less than the required version of the new ROM.
