Im installed LSPosed on my Redmi Note 8 PRO with A 9 mainly to hide my game information because there is couple game when u get banned or want to start fresh save even u uninstall and install again the game all game save are there even im not link the game....so to start fresh game save the only thing i need to do is to format my phone....Then im installed Xprivacy LUA but seems like its not working????

@roberto_1986 Are you aware that XPL has its own thread?
[CLOSED][APP][XPOSED][6.0+] XPrivacyLua - Android privacy manager [UNSUPPORTED]
XPrivacyLua Really simple to use privacy manager for Android 6.0 Marshmallow and later (successor of XPrivacy). Revoking Android permissions from apps often let apps crash or malfunction. XPrivacyLua solves this by feeding apps fake data...

[Request] App to hide apps, like sudohide, ported to magisk

Hello all, i'm looking for a while for a app to hide somehow others apps to system and other apps, like have on xposed called sudohide, there any option of module on magisk?
Very simple to do, read the magisk module thread's.. Replace the APK's with a dummy file, which in turn makes the system think they have been removed..

Ah right my mistake, apologise.
I was after something like this last night, a silly example is the game dark sword, it blocks the running of the game if it finds titanium backup installed.
Same case with game kritika. It won't run if apps like game guardian, lucky Patcher, cheat Droid or anything similar is installed.
Exacly that, i want hide some apps from another, like minminhide and sudohide for xposed, but, ported to magisk or standalone
up. we need something just like this. and i think is a must to have this because there so many apps blocks you from using it when they find other app..
+1 i think it will be very handy
cheers
I also need this!
need module like this aw well to hide apps being scanned ?
I was just about to make a post looking for this same thing. Back in the day, MinMinHide xposed did this.
Xposed just patched stuff on the fly right? Couldn't someone create a system modification that would just return an empty app list to all apps? (this would probably break all licenses key apps, but that's the cost of the mod)
Then we can patch our own system and create a Magisk module like smali patcher does.
Apple patched apps being able to see all other installed apps, but Android still allows any app to view every other apps installed without even needing permission.
I use Island (app) to do this but apps in island are not reliable.
Bump, we still need this app similiar to SudoHide but works with magisk non xposed.
Bump, we need this, please!
Sudohide is a Xposed module. Xposed and Magisk does not work the same and you can't just port a Xposed module to Magisk.
You guys can stop bumping this. If someone could find a way to do it without Xposed it'd likely already be around...
i see , im waiting to see, hope soon have a solution.
line age 2 android have a problem in root device not working , have a try with sudo hide, root cloack. not working.
i heard some magisk module can hide root and bypass safetynet ?
can magiks bypass that too ?
hope some day ......can
seriously
Need something like Sudohide works under Magisk root.
Does anyone know a way to hide some apps from the stock launcher? the app can still be installed and doing what it wants for all i care, i just don't want to see it in launcher.
my phone came with pre-installed non removable music app and calculator etc. i installed google apps for this and don't want to see duplicates on my stock launcher
Re-bump.
Still desperately need something like this. I just got the dreaded "Your device is not supported" from Pokemon Go and had to uninstall Tasker for it to run! Not nice. Need a way to hide Tasker from Pokemon Go. :-/

[Discussion] Snapchat Locked Accounts Thread Magisk

This forum is meant for people who are getting locked out of their accounts due to "3rd Party Plugins or Applications"
We need to stop this from happening so share your experiences and thoughts on the matter.
I have 2 devices: a Nexus 6P running Pie (Pixel Experience) and a Pixel 3XL on the stock Pie rom. Both are rooted with Magisk Canary builds and both have Magisk Hide turned on. Snapchat never detects root on the Nexus but ALWAYS detects it on the Pixel. I've even repackaged Magisk on the Pixel but that doesn't help. I've read that it's easier for apps to detect root on A/B partition devices so maybe the newer, updated Snapchat apps have code to detect it. When I have time, I'll try an old version and see if it works...
Note that I don't believe Snapchat bans just by detecting root. It is detecting certain apps that are somehow triggering it. If you check the list of apps that you have given permission for superuser, it would be one of those. The app that I had that was triggering Snapchat was an app named app ops. I had downloaded it and just giving it permissions alone was getting me banned on Snapchat. I think this problem only affects users running Oreo or higher for whatever reason. I myself had an old phone running marshmallow with app ops and never experienced a ban. I don't think that any of the people reporting the problem had anything lower than Oreo. If you have somehow discovered the app causing your problems, uninstalling it may not fix your problem. I had to wipe my phone in order to fix it because I was still receiving bans despite uninstalling the app that was causing my problems
I've never installed app ops so that's not my problem.
As for A/B partitioning, I'm on a Samsung galaxy Note 8 and it didn't come out with this on my device so yeh ?
The main thing I found out that I had to do, was repackage the manager and I haven't been banned for the last 4 days
I am on the S8 plus and was locked out for 12 hours before. Snapchat continued to lock me out even when I fully uninstalled magisk. I decided to clean install a different Rom which seemed to do the trick. A month later I decided to go back to my original Rom and guess what? Can't even login coz of some mod I think.
So I would say it depends on what mods you have installed yourself or packaged with the custom ROM.
Snapchat ban
I have same problem. Yesterday they gave me ban but i was unbanned with their site. But today they give me one more ban but now is for 24h ... anyone know how to fix snap or maybe hide root? S7 9.0 blackdiamond v3
Downloaded an early January 2019 version of Snapchat and signed up for a new account on my Pixel 3XL. All was good at first then I closed the app. When I tried to sign back in, I got the "problem connecting to server" error which requires an update to the most current version. I updated and after just a few hours, I got the "12 hour account locked" message for "3rd party apps". I've had Magisk Manager repackaged but that obviously didn't help. BTW, I have not repackaged Magisk on my Nexus 6P and it's still works. I found a comment by a user of the Bitmoji app (which I use on my Pixel but not my Nexus) that reported his Snapchat was locked by this app so I uninstalled it. We'll see how it goes when my 12 hour ban is up...
Update: I uninstalled Bitmoji. I also added the systemless host module in Magisk and enabled systemless mode in Adaway. That is supposed to prevent Adaway from modifying the system partition but neither worked. I'm on a 24 lock now....

What apps have you given superuser? The app causing you problems is likely in that list
I had this happen before to me, i uninstalled edXposed and i was able to use snapchat even while on a 24 hour ban

I don't know if this would affect you but an app that was causing the problems on my phone with Android 9.0 has no affect on an old phone running Android 6.0.1. I don't know why this happens but if you were running a new version of Android such as Android 9.0, an app that may not cause problems on your 6P may cause problems for you. And again, I have no idea why this happens but I can guarantee that was my problem and I haven't had a ban since

Both my Pixel 3XL and Nexus 6P are running Android 9 rooted with Magisk Canary (19005). Both have the same apps with superuser rights. All this to say that Snapchat was working fine on both for months and for about the last 6 weeks, my Pixel 3 XL's account gets locked and my Nexus 6P does not.
Thanks for trying to help and glad you figured your problem out.
I'm copying this from the SnapFreedom thread who's problems obviously mirror your own. I'll be editing parts out, but some of it should still apply if you guys are getting locked out.
XPrivacyLua
Install it from FDroid or Xposed Repo and check the boxes for "Determine activity" and "Get applications" in Snapchat's tab. You can also enable "Get location" to spoof your location and still use SnapMaps.
Magisk
A few points, these probably don't apply, but they're still worth doing.
Repackage it through Settings -> Hide Magisk
Make sure to block all components under "Google Play Services" and "Google Play Store". There's a few things that aren't blocked by default that might trigger SafetyNet.
Snapchat
Hoo boy...
Don't use anything higher than, and including, 10.41.6.0. It's pretty much a ban-fest. With SnapTools, we use 10.20.5.0 and 10.26.5.0. Those are probably your safest bets. Also, if you plan on downgrading, use any 10.39 app. Something in how logins work has changed in the later versions, so apps like Preferences Manager don't work.
Theming your app should be okay. I did it for months and never got a ban.
Only give it the bare minimum permissions. Storage, Camera, and Microphone. Location too, if you're into being tracked by your friends and Snapchat.
Do NOT use modified apps. At all. Ever. They're the easiest things to detect.
If you want to block ads reliably, you can use this Magisk Module. This WON'T stop bans.
Snapchat also logs your device ID. If you've received a temp-ban prior to this, make sure to change your Device ID. If you're on Oreo, you can use this app. If not, you can use Titanium Backup to change it. The latest version with this function is version 8.2.2. But honestly, the most reliable way is to reflash your ROM.

There are all the reasons why i purely stopping to use Snapchat, and also due to the fact that the application is so badly optimized for Android (even since the complete redesign of the application), in the end considering my use so irregular, I just uninstalled it, so no problem.
The time of Snapprefs and Snaptools was fun and funny, and especially less vicious as a concept than the basic one.
The good old days, but all good things must come to an end.

It's what happens when a company becomes complacent and puts more effort into blocking modifications instead improving their terrible app.
Update:
About 2 weeks ago, I flashed the May rom update for my Pixel 3 XL, installed Snapchat ver. 10.41.6.0, hid SC and all components of Google Play Services and Google Play Store in Magisk and I haven't been banned! I detach SC from the Play Store with TiBu but it somehow gets reattached. I just don't update it. Thanks @TevW !!!
I have got a problem, I have a Nokia 7 Plus, stock fw no changes at all!
And I keep getting banned... Support is a joke, I just get automatic replies...
The only reason i may have for getting bans is if snap scans the sd card, where I have magisk and roms files from other devices...
Any tips ???

Install an app on a Rooted phone as if it is installed on a Non Rooted phone

Island App from @oasisfeng
Those who want to have their Apps like :-
1. Banking Apps like GooglePay, PhonePe, PayTM, etc. to work like being installed on a non rooted phone.
2. Apps that invade privacy like Truecaller, etc. not to get any personal data.
3. Apps which you want to have dual account like Whatsapp, Facebook, etc.
4. Apps to whom you don't want to share your any data like contacts, files, history, etc but still want to install (but not sms).
5. If Apps from Government like Digilocker that won't work even using Magisk Hide.
Then I suggest you to install Island App from @oasisfeng from Playstore.
I find to very useful. You will find it too.
Once you install and know the concept (work profile) and the function it performs, you will realise you didn't know you needed this app.

Share your love (if you have some) for P40 Pro

It's great to see good ratings and positivity about this phone here.
I'm surprised as I always came here to hack my device to intmstall custom Roms and Huawei doesn't give access to do that
I'm reaching out to you in hopes of getting some actual real user experience threads created on the official Huawei UK Community.
A handful of the moderators including myself have made some reviews on how to get apps etc. We aren't after full blown reviews but similar to what your experiences have been like.
This will help average users make a decision whether to buy the phone or not
If you post remember that most users of the community are not experts or technologists. They are usually people looking for help.
You can access it using Huawei support app by clicking forum or visit
https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/community/list/?forumId=20361
And login With your Huawei ID.
You'll get a generic username so update that to anything reasonable.
You could get featured by Huawei a social media too
Links back to this community will just show as text rather than an active link. Their whitelisted urls are few and far between.
Thanks for your help if you decide to contribute
Whilst you're there you can submit some images to Huawei Next-image which is a Global photography contest of certain topics but have to be photos taken on a Huawei device.
Thanks again.
I have a P40 Pro on the way, i have had many Huawei phones and think what Huawei are doing with HMS is a massive undertaking in the west. Only huawei can pull it off. Each day HMS is getting better and these forums and huawei community are really helping me get used to this new experience.
HMS is not perfect at the moment but when i remember the failures of the BB and Windows - Huawei are going in the right direction and not following those mistakes.
Politics and biases aside. I look forward to seeing more fantastic hardware from huawei and the software is going in the right direction.
I'm amazed to see diehearts like you folks willing to stick to Huawei HMS and refuse to serrender to Google GMS. I'm equally inspired by Huawei which is striving their best to reach out to 1.4mil developers worldwide to port their esteemed apps over to Huawei AppGallery. It's becoming quite usable lately as more and more local everyday used apps have been made available on the AppGallery. :victory:

If notifications worked reliably with HMS-naked, then it would be very easy for me to stick with HMS-naked ... unfortunately notifications really suck, hence I am stuck with a HMS+microG install for now ... but at least that is better than HMS+GMS.
Let me know when notifications are fixed on HMS-naked, then I will uninstall microG.

go to thread in this P40 Pro forum .. i think it was in the recent thread in this forum for nova ... linked back to a german forum .. but here is below ...
microG
https://microg.org/
1. Perform a factory reset of the phone.
2. Install F-Droid app
3. Add this repo into F-Droid .... https://microg.org/fdroid/repo
4. In F-Droid, then install MicroG Services Core.
5. In F-Droid, then Install MicroG Services Framework Proxy.
6. In F-Droid, then Install the MicroG FakeStore.
6. Open the Microg Settings app. Grant it all permissions and disable battery optimizations.
7. Add your Google account.
8. Turn on Device Registration, Cloud Messaging and SafetyNet.
9. Restart your phone.
10. Open Microg Settings app, check the status under Cloud Messaging. If it says not connected enter the following in the phone app: *#*#2432546#*#* and restart your phone. Check the status again - it should say Connected. (I had to enter the phone string and restart my phone twice until it said connected).
11. Install apps
12. Check connection in microG app for Google Cloud Messaging
All this will give you is push notifications with Google Cloud Messaging (including the Google Firebase messaging).
I also had notification issues caused by either Huawei PowerGenie and Android Doze .. if the notifications work and then suddenly stop after an hour or so, then try these ..

microG is a small open-source app .. used in many custom ROMs for years .. simple, quick to install, and less risk of update hassles, and easy to uninstall later if needed, and still very close to HMS-naked, it just provides notification access to google push notifications (google cloud messaging and google firebase cloud messaging).
if you want to use google apps, then this really isn't the phone to buy .. all the hassles & problems with GMS and then what is the benefit of the P40 Pro .. just a camera with DXOMARK score of 128, when you could have bought another android phone with a DXOMARK score of 123 .. virtually no difference.
but microG gets us pretty close to HMS-naked (when the notifications get fixed with HMS-naked, then I will go HMS-naked).
the first microG install might take 15 mins .. but if you ever need to install again, it is about a 3 minute process once familiar.

i would like to know the answer to this question .. i.e.
a) can huawei update HMS Core with to make apps compatible with huawei cloud messaging system ... or
b) is the only option for wait months or years for all the various app developers to update their apps for huawei cloud messaging system?
hopefully it is (a)
on the huawei forums, one of the regular users, said that the notification problems were a EMUI 10.1 problem .. so I'm not really sure yet
Depending on how easy it is for developers to add HMS and get officially listed in AppGallery.
Hoping it's as simple as
if gms. Not Installed then.... Hms.Notification() else gms.Notification();
Without checking any of the Dev guides or codes.
It wouldn't be too big an undertaking

Question Install of YouTube Vanced blocked

Hi all,
Anybody any idea how to install YouTube Vanced on a stock Mi11?
I've installed the manager and microg from apkmirror but can't install YouTube Vanced as still being blocked.
The previous method of disabling miui optimisations from developer options is no longer there.
.... Alternatively any other way to have YouTube with less/no ads?
Any help appreciated

If your shell can be run as root, search for ad and tracking hosts lists on the net and place them inside of your /system/etc/hosts file.
Also, you could use the app "Blockada".
Those methods will block ads and tracking systemwide, however...
Use puretuber

You might need to disable MIUI optimization in the developer options. Always work for me. Also fixes a lot of notification issues.

But the MIUI Optimization is not displayed for everyone. For some people, the entry is not there under developer options (like in my case). If you search under settings, it shows the entry but when you click on the search result, it brings you to the developer options where MIUI optimization is not displayed. Seems to be hidden.
Just wondering why for some users it is there and for others not.

Hm I see. I saw the same kind of behavior on the F2 Pro forums before. My only guess is either the region you set, or the MIUI version (globale, Europe, China).
I bought the Chinese version (with region set to France), and the option is there for me.
But yeah, if you don't have it, you either have to use another app/version of Vanced, or deal with the manual installation that requires a PC, Split APK installer and the Shizuku app (kinda a pain to install a single app, but used to do that since I really wanted it on my F2 pro).

Makes sense, thanks for the explanation. I have the global version and the region is set to Germany. The interesting thing though is that several persons bought over the same shop as I did (was a special offer) and some have MIUI displayed and others (like me) do not have it. Maybe phones coming out of different factories or different production lines may cause this.
For now, I will wait to install Vanced. I hope that MIUI 12.5 fixes those things, if not, then I will go the route via Xiaomi EU ROM.
Hello guys,
I have the mi 11 ultra china rom and i do have the option to disable miui optimizations in developer mode.
The problem is that as soon as i do that the fonts look really big and they don't resolve when tweaking the font size etc.
Do you know what are the downsides of disabling the miui optimizations from the developer mode ?
Mind you the rom is working flawlessly so far , i have all the notifications and functions ok.
Thanks !

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone outside MIUI developers will be able to say in details what MIUI optimization really does. All we have is a "global idea" and guesses from experience.
As you experienced, disabling optimization may affect the way MIUI look, mostly the default launcher and fonts. Your icons may look a bit different as well.
Some people report that disabling optimization improves their battery life, while others say the opposite. Same thing for floating windows: for most people it still work, but a few reported that the feature is no longer working while optimization is turned off.
So disabling it may or may not break MIUI-specific features, it really depends on your device from what we see.
Overall, we can't be sure what it will do on your specific device/version. You'll likely have to test by yourself.
Even though I always disable optimizations when I'm on the official ROM, just know that some developers, specifically the devs at Xiaomi.eu, recommend you to keep it on.
Thanks for the info @Eidenz , will keep it on and monitor closely the battery life as well the behavior of the aps.
So far I'm pretty amazed that everything is working flawlessly.
I'm not sure I want to switch to xiaomi.eu but will see..
As a workaround I'm using blokada with some youtube ads blocking list.
It's mostly ok but I do see the ads at the start and sometimes at the end of the video, but not the ads during the video.
Cheers !

No worries. There are even more workarounds if you're interested:
You can disable MIUI optimization to install Youtube Vanced, and then turn it back on. The app will keep working, the problem is only in the installation process.
You may also install Vanced manually using your PC by following the official tutorial: https://www.reddit.com/r/Vanced/wiki/installation
Or you may use that "Pure Tuber" app that got mentionned at the top of this post. Not as great imo, but does the job.
I found out that once I installed YouTube Vanced and enabled optimizations back, Vanced didn't want to work.
Basically it loaded but was faced with a continuous loading screen on each tab of the application.
Tried pure tuber but from what I saw it does consume a bit more power and also the navigation isn't as good as in YouTube Vanced , plus the video resizing is kinda wonky.
Hm, that's weird. I guess it got worse than it used to be on older MIUI versions (and devices).

Ended up installing this version as well
Thanks for the link @daavid1995
Wonder what's the downside of using this version...guess i'll see
Thanks again !
I flashed Xiaomi EU rom and I can install YouTube Vanced via Vanced Manager now.
You can also use NewPipe:
NewPipe - a free YouTube client

With my Redmi Note 10 (EU version M2101K7AG) I was able to install YTVanced after disabling the MIUI optimizations. I enabled them right away after installation and until now I haven't noticed any difference.
Then I updated the system to MIUI Global 12.0.3 and lost the possibility of disabling the optimizations in the developer options.
The only issue I notice sometimes is when opening YTVanced it keeps saying there is no internet connection. I have to go to microg settings and disable the battery optimizations for that app.
I hope that MIUI developers fix this soon cause it is so annoying having to research for workarounds just to install an apk. If I knew this before, I think I would have went with a Realmi instead.
