You can take a backup from it using one of the many apps available, I usually use File Manager, and although it becomes unnecessary, to know the name app package you could use something like Package Viewer

hi
can anyone tell me another way to download US-En high quality package of Google Text-to-Speech? I tried to downloaded from the app itself, but I failed.
I need to download it separately, and move them to Google TTS folder
thanks

using xposed frameworks for long time now, I have a lot of old versions of my modules on phone
where are this module versions stored?
how can I delete this old versions I never will reuse/reinstall again?
Frank
Not sure it will help, as you surely noticed that before. Anyway.... In the "Modules" section of Xposed, a long press on the module you want to get rid of will bring you the option you're looking for.
To add to what Roudier said, modules are just like normal apps and can be uninstalled the same way.
I think everyone misunderstood the question.
I think he's asking where the old versions of each module are stored, as it's possible to uninstall the latest version of a module and install an older version that you had installed without downloading it again.
Basically, where are the downloaded files stored?

That's handled by the download manager, it's usually cleared after a reboot if I'm not mistaken.
Doesn't sound like that's what he's asking about, though.

He's seems to be specifically asking about old versions of modules there.
In any case, I actually wanted to know where old versions of installed modules were stored so I could delete them and your reply provided the required information. They were all in the download manager and were not deleted after a reboot, so I manually deleted the specific old versions of modules that were no longer required. Thanks.

I deleted them via the download manager.
Enter it via "Downloads" in your app drawer, then long press any item you want to delete and a trash icon should show up to allow you to delete them (at least that's how it works on my device).
Hi,
that's easy
I must confess that I rarely used the App Drawer and the download app I've never particularly noticed
This is about to change, thanks for the hint :good:
Frank
You're welcome.
Hi friends,
As we all know, sammy devices comes with lots of junks and bloats which hardly we use.
So, i was looking for a thread where i could find a way to debloat/remove excess system files from J7/6 but i was quite depressed when i found no link for my device. Although some nice techies have posted zip from other sources, i mean some debloater zips are directly posted here from s6 groups. And as we know that not all devices have same bloats or junks or having different names of same bloats.
That's why i tried to do some changes on a zip made by @TENN3R (Originally made by @ambasadii . Thanks both of you man) and finally come here with this work. Hope you'll love it.
Before flashing this zip, my device system part was showing 118mb space. After flashing zip modded by me, i got whopping 1.19gb free space in system.
All i can say is, your device system will have a great amount of space to breath which will surely show you result in battery life + performance (as per my experience I'm getting +15/20% battery life and performance is superb)
So, let's come to the point. There's attached zip, download it & move it to device internal storage/sdcard/usbotg. Reboot to recovery (your device must be rooted with TWRP recovery preinstalled). Flash this zip and wipe dalvik/cache. Reboot to system and you'll see that almost all junks is removed.
To know which apps it removes and if you want to keep some system apps, open zip, copy updater script on your pc, open updater script with notepad++, check all apps names one (takes hardly few minutes) and if you want to keep any app in system and don't want to remove it, just remove that whole line. For example, if you want to keep "GoogleContactsSyncAdapter", remove line contains that app name ? runs ("/sbin/rm", "-rf", "system/app/GoogleContactsSyncAdapter"); ? including semicolon same as shown here.
I suggest you to take backup of all apps (system/app & system/priv-app) so in case you want to restore any app, you can do it. It will remove some unwanted junk apps from csc folder also, (Yes it will remove bike mode too)
I have tested this zip few times on my device (SM-J710GN) and on one another device (SM-J710FN) and there's no any fc or issues. So i think it's worth trying.
But as we all say here, I'm not responsible if your device get bootloops, your wife hits you or your dog bites you for some reasons.
Do not forget to hit thanks button. :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

Good work bro
i did not succeeded with installation of this zip. TWRP just said that it failed.

Excellent! Works like a charm! Thank you a lot. I've done a video guide (sub Eng). Hope this can be helpful.

Here is the original zip file attached.
You should edit the script according to your needs before flash.
Because it also remove sbrowser, nfcui, sbike etc. etc.

Lost Network
I lost my sim networks, both Sim 1 and Sim 2 after flashing the zip file. Bad part is, I didn't make a back up before doing the process.
Can't not open ' Setting '
I know this thread was old thread, but I'm just want to asking why my J7 2016 can't open setting after i flash the debloater?
Hello,
there is a limitation in my region to download Android Auto. However I've tested it on old phone w/ CM + download from www . apkmirror . com and it works as charm.
Now the question is - I want to install it on my personal Nexus 6, where I'm very cautious what I put and what permissions I give.
Tried to search the net, looks like the site is trusted because of the comminity behind it but still what are my options to ensure myself APK is what Google provided?
When downloading it there is a fingerprint :
"Safe to Download
This APK is signed by Google Inc. and upgrades your existing app.
Fingerprint: 9C:A9:1F:9E:70:4D:63:0E:F6:7A:23:F5:2B:F1:57:7A:92:B9:CA:5D
The cryptographic signature guarantees that the file is safe to install and was not tampered with in any way."
But I'm not sure this fingerprint is Google's, nor that it's really signed with it.
Any help is welcome
If the signature is not same the app won't upgrade your old version and will install as a new app.
So if your updates successfully after installing the Apk then rest assured that the signature are same.

Actually, if the signatures don't match, the update won't install at all.
APKMirror is legit. If I recall, they're owned by the same people who own Android Police.
Thanks guys!
The issue is the following with the flow :
1. You can't find it in Play Store when the APK is not installed (Android Auto)
2. I've tried to install one version below lastest from apk mirror and then if I search for Android Auto in Play Store I can see "not supported in your region/country". Not showing that upgrade is available.
3. From p.1 and p.2 I can't reasure myself that APK is trusted
http://www.apkmirror.com/faq/
What measures do you take to make sure all uploaded APKs are real and created by the respective developers?
All APKMirror.com uploads are verified prior to publishing.
We make sure that the cryptographic signatures for new versions of all previously published apps match the original ones, which means we know if uploaded APKs were signed by the real devs or someone pretending to be them.
a. For new apps that have never been uploaded to APKMirror.com, we try to match the signatures to other existing apps by the same developer. If there’s a match, it means that the same key was used to sign a previously known legitimate app, therefore validating the new upload.
b. If we see no matches, we try to obtain and compare to a version of the same app from the Play Store or another verified location. If it’s a beta, we will try to get into it. If we can’t, we will attempt to contact the developer.
c. If we’re unable to verify the legitimacy of a new APK, we will simply not publish it.

apkmirror is trusted as other users have mentioned and they have a good track record. If you don't trust sideloading apks, unroot your phone, take off your custom ROM, flash a stock factory image and never mess with your device again.
Thanks all,
I will use them.
Cheers!

OP you can trust apkmirror. Yes it's owned by Android Police.

If you're installing an app for the first time, it will install so long as the signature is valid. An update to that app will successfully install so long as the package name and signatures match. If the package names are different, e.g. com.android.dialer and com.google.android.dialer, the second app will install alongside the first. If the package names are the same but the signatures are different, e.g. ES File Explorer versus my modified version, the update will not install.
That's how I understand things. Has something changed that I don't know about? I'm not understanding your statement, as it contradicts what I know about Android packaging and signatures.

When I have to factory reset my device, I want to be able to avoid re-verifying my debit card in Google Pay card - unfortunately, I have to call in for this, and it is a pain....
Would backing up the settings_ssaid.xml file in /data/system/users/0, and restoring that file be enough for Google Pay to think that nothing has been changed?
I did actually restore that file successfully, but not until after I had opened up Google Pay once.
Prior to Oreo, restoring the Android_ID in Titanium Back seemed to do the trick, but that does not work any more.
I am asking in the Magisk forum, as someone might be aware of what the Google Pay app might be using, and how to make it appear not like a new device.
I tried restoring the the ID found in the settings_ssaid.xml file, but it did not help. Also the device fingerprint is being reported with the same value. I wonder what Google Pay could be looking at to determine that the ROM is different. ROM name, or some other property?
