I was doing some research about custom roms for the mediatek variant (nicklaus), and found lineage 14.1 and 15 from some user on android filehost, anyone has tried the roms or know what is happening with the development of the mediatek variant??

None of them are working.

I've seen RR 6.0.0 on that guys android file host, but the latest TWRP (3.2.1) he provided doesn't work on XT1771, so i can't flash it :\

I have indian k20 pro.. i had installed revolution os running andriod 10... But it has some issues.. soo now i want to install xtented rom running on andriod 9... With orangefox recovery i m able to install d rom but after restarting phone goes in fastboot mode... With twrp latest version its showing error 7: device is rapheal n rom is for raphealin.. i m not able to install d rom via twrp.. i also tried installing latest 10.4.8.0 indian vendor n firmware.. still not able to boot into xtended rom.. plzz help

Try to format via twrp (gonto wipe select format and type yes) then reboot to recovery and try to flash again.
If this not help you flash stock rom (better the latest 10.4.6.0) via mi flash tool. Never forget to un select flash all and lock. Select just only flash all. Tje first option.

Reboot to recovery after format data.
Also try to flash the latest twrp recovery and try again.
You need to use the right TWRP that can set the correct codename for your device. For now, only Abhisheks TWRP and Maurofrionio TWRP can do that.

and always use this raw file for flashing rawprogram_unsparse_ww_no_nfc_no_fsg.xml "ww" means "worldwide" and indian version is no nfc and fsg is a backup of device imei ,serial ,bluetooth and wifi adress , don't flash factory fsg cause it will remove your built in device fsg partition and remove all your imei and bluetooth which is needed for connection and working for sim.
3rd firmware has only this rawprogram file :-rawprogram_unsparse_ww_no_fsg.xml so no need to take tension of it , it will not gonna break your device. use this if first or second firmware didn't work for you

My doubt is which raw file need to select?

Install the QPST Tool https://qpsttool.com/qpst-tool-v2-7-496, then open the QFIL Tool to flash/install the firmware.
Running QFIL directly w/o installing the QPST will lead to the Sahara server error.

what do you mean? I got it from the official ASUS website. I never update mine from any other source other than their official site
