I've been experiencing some random reboots from last week in my device after the MIUI 12.5.2 update however they were not very annoying so I ignored them but yesterday I tried to install an apk,my device restarted on its own instantly and again it just randomly reboots on its own along with random reboots only more frequently in last 2 days.
SO THE MAIN PROBLEM IS AROUND INSTALLING APK ALONG WITH RANDOM REBOOTS.
I have tried clearing cache for various apps + rebooted device many times manually + Removed Themes + Cleared 4-5 GB Data but nothing works. Pls help me before I throw out my phone :/

I decided to download Asphalt 8 last night to see how the Note 5 handles it, initially it looked good but after 20 seconds or so the frame rate slowed down considerably - I would guess less than 10 frames a second. I uninstalled it, cleared the cache, reinstalled but still the same issue. This is on High settings which is the default setting. It's like the phone starts to throttle after a short amount of time racing?
Is anyone else playing Asphalt 8, have you seen anything similar?
I downloaded AnTuTu bench and was getting over 60,000 which seems in line with other Note 5's and 3D Mark also seems to match up so i'm not sure if this is just Asphalt 8 or a bigger problem.
I installed CPU-z so I could monitor temperature and if I check it when the game is running slow the Exynos reports around 60c which doesn't seem that high?
i've only tried it on my S6e without any noticeable issues. do you have Power Saving mode off?
(Sent from another Galaxy)
Yup both power saving modes are definitely off.
There are drops in some games after minutes of gameplay, that because of Samsung TW DVFS, which basically monitors and throttles the CPU way too fast.
If u have root, u can set cpu govenor to performance when playing, that will eliminate all the lag, that what i do.
hi i am using rom stable miui 8 8.2.2.0 (NAAMIEB), problem is when gaming and cpu usage overlay enabled from developer menu, my mi will throttle the cpu to 900mhz and it will got fps drop ( not even hot, only slight warm, still 40c on battery temp and it's super annoying for me ).
what can i do to reduce the throttling ? i mean i am on mi 5 prime edition i think with max 2,15ghz cpu 3/64 mi. I have been granted permission to unlock my device from mi official alr, should i unlock it first then update to miui 9 global or should i just root and play with cpu governor mode ?
pls give the updated step/link guide if u can help and any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Consider trying a newer MIUI 9 version, the older nougat MIUI 8 vesions had all kinds of problems. Backup data first and disable any encryption/pin/password/fingerprint on your phone first.
My mi 9t pro benchmarks have been pretty inconsistent going from 350k-430k on antutu. That's an 80k difference. The heat is also a bit concerning at 44c cpu and 34c battery while typing this, 35 cpu and 60 batt on pubg, and 35-55 on cod with max settings in an ac room. Outside, I get 40c batt and 70c cpu while playing pubg at hdr+extreme for about 15-20 mins (I live in the Philippines so it's kinda hot but it wasn't too hot that time), it got too hot to hold on the sides. And there's a bit of split second lag when typing from time to time. Is this a defective unit or it's just how it is?
6gb/128gb
Global rom
Miui 11
Android 10
No root
Andd chrome just lagged (there are only 3 other lightweight apps running in the background)
I have a problem that when my phone reach's 33c temperature it's shutdowns and that's a really low temperature for a gaming phone! it reaches it in 2 mins of 90fps gaming or 10 mins of 60fps gaming on pubg how can I solve that problem I feel it it gets warm in seconds exactly on the processor spot when I start the game then freeze and shutdown is that software or hardware problem? It's china version with a ww rom on android 9
My friend, this is not a software problem. I've tried android 9, 10 or all private rooms. This is a hardware issue. If the warranty still continues, please change the motherboard. If not, replace the pm8150 ic chip. the problem will disappear.
I have a Xiaomi Redmi note 10S, it's got the G95 mediatek and 6gb of ram yet it doesn't seem to keep more than 2-3 apps open in background. I don't know if it's the battery saver or the security app clearing the memory or stopping the apps but it's stupid. It behaves like it's only got 2 gb of ram. I've disabled MiUI Optimizations in developer settings but when I left it overnight it just massively drained the battery. Even with those disabled I did open a bunch of apps and still loosing some of them despite not hitting the memory limit. What else can you do? Change the OS?
You can turn off miui optimization in dev options but it will break a dozen other things
