Question Gcam and Camera performance in OneUi 4 (Exynos) - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Has anyone with an Exynos device had the chance to test if Gcam works for all lenses in the new Oneui4? Also, how does the quality of photos seem in the normal camera app?

Gcam wichaya with s21 settings works well, sometimes better then Stock camera, but missing special focus and Max zoom

Living with the faulty buzzing camera module of note 9

Since my note 9 camera is buzzing/vibrating on 2 x zoom on the stock camera app,can anyone suggest another camera app which will produce crisp pictures and videos. The app should use full potential of the note 9 camera module, except for the the buzzy camera.
Thanks in advance.
Any camera app other than the stock camera will produce clearer pictures while zoomed in, simply because the telephoto camera (which is the culprit) is only available in the stock camera app. Digital zoom and the main lens is used instead; The best and in the end the most convenient solution is to simply replace the camera module.

mi a2 gcam front camera only 5mp ?

Is there anyway to use the full 20mp in front facing camera.. All gcam takes default 5mp by pixel binding.. also flash didn't work like stock... It acts like a torch while capturing photo

i am using miui 12 pie and both stock and gcam are working at the same time .....
both have their advantages....
1. gcam uses pixel binning ( combining ) them
_so your camera is not really using 5mpx ..it is using max pixels merged into a 5mpx output_
_this might give you a good or better looking photo than some 20mpx sensors on some phones
_people use gcam because of Google's theoretical excellence in processing photos *** therefore better photos than stock ... because if you feel.stock has better photos than there is no argument for using gcam
2. gcam mods which allow you to choose to manually force the gcam to use the secondary ( aux ) exist ...you can use it in combo with magisk modules
_dont expect a giant leap in photo quality since our aux sensor is for low light ...and was never meant not even by Xiaomi to act as the main shooter
_stock camera changing between sensors automatically while in gcam.you will. have to.do.it manually _
_VERY IMPORTANTLy ...our aux sensor is NOT api2 compliant only our main sensor ...as per Xiaomi ...so Xiaomi needs to fix that if it can be fixed....that is why our phone isn't released with api2 enabled..
Options:
1. Use magisk module in stock rom to get stock camera
2. Use stock rom to use miui 12 pie to get both stock and gcam working at the same time
3. Use gcam with aux sensor select button in settings to activate it manually in custom rom
4. buy a jasmine or wayne device and donate it to gcam.modder or dev stating your wish that he/she fixes it so it runs how you feel.it should run
I'm pretty certain this info is old and if you looked you'd find all the magisk modules and gcams and mods and info floating around ...
go check out the official gcam mods page for devs working on cams for our device and try them.all to find the one you like best and maybe give them.a small donation
try out the stock cam magisk module to see if it works correctly on custom rom
failing that just your miui with magisk to have it all.
Stock makes great depth of field photos imho
Gcam takes richer photos in general like but if you aren't careful you might run in oversaturation ..more options
_you can enable arcore and ar stickers by magisk mod and using patched playground from gcam mods page
This doesn't seem to be a GCam issue... All camera apps just see 5MP for the front and secondary back camera. It's probably an internal issue with Camera2Api?

Question Working Gcam mods for Realme 8i?

Are there any working modifications of Google camera, that will enhance picture/video quality compared to default stock camera?

Help with ANX Camera (Freeze on some features)

Hello,
My Redmi Note 9 is working perfectly with Pixel Experience ROM. And for the camera I have GCam and ANX Camera, but with GCam I cannot take advantage of all the sensors and do not have 48 MP. With ANX Camera I have detected some problems.
1. It freezes when I try to use the Macro lens options or the UW lens.
2. Filters do absolutely nothing. When I take a photo with a filter, the application closes.
3. Night mode closes when taking the picture.
Does anyone know how I can correct these problems? I am using ANXCameraUnity.190R.BontifulDistantHapuka
Thank you,
Rene

Question 48 MP IN AOSP ROM?

I have tried Gcam and MIUI Camera magisk module, but none of them allow me to use the full extent of 48MP camera on the device, photos taken in GCAM show up as photos taken from a 12MP camera and the ones taken from the MIUI cam is shown as those taken from a 8MP Camera, how can I use the full extent of 48MP Camera?
Just saying , Im using the Unofficial Superior OS Rom, based on A13

not possible
MIUI cam depends heavily depends from the ROM configurations, MIUI core and libs for it to work. those need to be built into the ROM in default
thats why you get those 8MP shots
on my redmi note 9 pro, ROMs that fail on these dependencies above will take shots of much lower resolution from the 64MP camera, and even worse from the pixel binning (16MP, basically the "Photo" mode in the viewfinder), including the failure of some camera modes, like portrait.
these dependencies need to be from their own phone, so, the redmi note 9 pro has to have its original MIUI camera core and libs, so does the redmi note 10 5g.
ROMs cannot have another phones dependecies or else it would probably be a bricking ROM (if those are built in, same for flashing systemless camera modules sometimes)
GCam is a normal phenomenon, GCam always uses pixel binning.
for instance, the redmi note 9 pro has pixel binning from 64MP down to 16MP.
the redmi note 10 5g has from 48MP down to 12MP, thats your result
64/4=16
48/4=12
this occurence of pixel binning is the process of combining pixels into larger ones, capturing more light and reducing artifacts on the photo. however, most of the detail is preserved, therefore there shouldnt be any issues on the general quality
theres really no possible way of using the 48MP camera sensor to offer a high-resolution image. however, you can use the upscaling function (if it’s available in the GCam port you installed) to enlarge your picture. but take note, it won’t have any effect on the image’s quality and it will remain just like the 12mp one (basically resizing a 2000x2000 picture to 4000x4000), making any gallery app think it is a high-resolution image and let you zoom in.
