Mi Note Pro 2

Android Pure put out a screenshot of ‘About Phone’ of the alleged Mi Note 2 Pro which is said to run Android Nougat out of the box. Leaks claim Mi Note 2 Pro will be the first Xiaomi smartphone to come with Android Nougat.
The screenshot reveals Mi Note 2 Pro will be powered by a quad-core (Snapdragon 821 rumoured) processor clocked at 2.6GHz. It is said to come with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro will run MIUI 8 with Android Nougat.
Who will be getting one?

The screen is supposed to have curved edges, so that will be AMOLED since you can't bend IPS

Then I would buy something else. Colors of modern art are more lovely on Amoled but I feel natural photos much more real on IPS

I prefer AMOLED over IPS as it has better battery life.

That's a good reason, also it provides battery friendly "always on notifications" which is quite nice.
Only thing I can see there's much less sub pixels, and maybe that's why I find amoled less true to life than IPS.
That would be great to have the choice between them but that would never happen, there's already so much different models.

After first mi note pro fail (flagship killer 2015 that had 0 android updates, rly?) I won't buy xiaomi. ever. For me Google pixels looks great + they will have newest soft and tons, just tons of developers working with them.

Miui 8 offers everything Google updates can offer (app permissions, data usage, etc...): which specific feature do you want?

My gut feel, it won't be Android 7 !

Any ATT users of the older Note, I have to admit the specs of the new model have me looking at what little info there is about it here in the US.

I personally bought OnePlus 3 and been on ported Miui 8 nearly all the way. I miss 5.7 inches and 2k a bit though.

MI Note Pro is enough for me, with AOSP 7

I bought it. Waiting for it to ship still though. Won't expect it here until sometime next month ?. Considering the support the Mi Note Pro got, it was a hard decision though. Hopefully it's better this time around since the device seems more popular

Need help
Guys, we need help, bunch of people is working for enabling lte band 20 in xiaomi mi 5. All we need is some data, from xiaomi note 2 pro, so it would be wonderfull if somebody could do this. The only but big problem for me is that lack of fingerprint scanner, I don't want a thief starting to buy on Ebay or Amazon from my accounts and I don't want to unlock it with a pin a hundred time a day...
If only it had Google Smart Lock!

Redmi Note 4 Global Version - Accessories

Hey,
because I got confused and a friend bought the wrong cases and screen protectors I want to highlight the differences between the "Redmi Note 4" and the "Redmi Note 4 Global Version". The latter one is more similar to the "Redmi 4X". The global version also is always the snapdragon version (sd). But I think there are also sd version which are NOT global versions. But please help me to clarify the differences. I am German and I have the "Redmi Note 4 Global Version" with Band 20.
The top has a different design and the back has the camera and flash on slightly different positions. But the dimensions itself are the same
The attached image shows the the main differences you need to take into account when buying accessories for your Redmi Note 4.
Also important. Keep in mind that the display is a 2.5D display (http://www.androidauthority.com/what-is-a-2-5d-screen-611258/) thus, the tempered glass often does not fit well!

Bought those, both fit perfectly. As I have to say that the tough one with cutouts for the keys does snap on pretty easy but it does not come off that easy.

I bought this device http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_620903.html (still waiting for it to arrive) and I was thinking it was Note 4 Global, but in the specs it says it has Bluetooth 4.2 which only comes in note 4X right?
Is that possible or the actual version will be 4.1?

Question Mi 11 Ultra vs. Oneplus 9Pro

I had Xiaomi 4 years ago and since then I have been on oneplus 5t, 6t and 7 pro all the time and I really wanted to have a 9 pro but as I saw the price and the fact that these cameras, apart from good marketing, do not offer anything great, I was looking for an alternative and it was mi 11 ultra. I ordered from china and the 8gb / 256 version came out cheaper for me than the op 9 pro. Chinese rom, but it will easily flash a European one after the premiere.
For me, the advantages of oneplus are:
-minimally better screen
-oxygen os
and that's all
Xiaomi:
- the best (apparently) camera on the market
-innovative appearance
-second screen (I hope it will be useful)

Thanks for sharing. The Mi 11 Ultra does look quite good even if it is a bit heavier. I think OP9Pro wins on the looks, or at least the hand feel department.
The 2nd screen is cool, but I didn't find anything in the settings when I was playing around with it in the store. So I couldn't figure out the customization and the interaction of it. It does react to touch for sure, but it was kind of useless in that situation where no notifications were coming in etc.

for me its a no brainer, Mi 11 ultra all the way!
OP9PRO can be compared to mi 11 pro, not ultra, and still lose

Came across your thread and wanted to share my opinion.
I bought the OnePlus 9 Pro on launch day and ended up returning it.
The North American variant of the OnePlus 9 Pro is seriously lacking compared to its variants in other markets. It doesn't come with Dual-SIM capability which was a big selling feature for me personally. The screen is nice but didn't blow me away.
Mi 11 Ultra on the other hand has 1 of the best displays in the market currently in terms of quality/resolution/brightness.
I have had the OnePlus 5T since launch and it has served me well till now. The only downside of getting the Mi 11 Ultra in North America is that we may not get full 5G support. Even the global variant doesn't have most of the 5G bands used in US/Canada.
Does anybody know if Google Pay will work with either the Chinese ROM/EU ROM? The last xiaomi phone I had was the Redmi Note 4.

I doubt it will on the Chinese but it will on the already released fastboot EU ROM. And of course, when it's released globally, it will be on the native global ROM, so you could flash that too.

Google Pay was working for me on Chinese Ron in Mi10 Ultra, so I don't think there should be an issue with Mi11 Ultra.

I have been using the oppo find x2 for the past 1 year. I couldn't get much screen guard/ tempered glass options for this device. Is the oneplus 8 pro's screen guard applicable to oppo find x2? Need info regarding that.

Yes it is,
The 1+8 Pro screen protectors are a direct fit for the Oppo Find X2 & Pro variant.
I have personally tried a few they've both got the exact same display unit.
