Question Magisk Denylist on Android 12? - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Hi folks
I updated to BUKG on my Exynos S21 Ultra and am trying to get Magisk Denylist to work with it.
Magisk is installed (Canary Alpha 23015) , Root is working fine as are modules. But Denylist just doesn't stick, I can select apps but the setting is apparently not stored permanently.
Anybody else had this and maybe a fix for this ?
Thanks, any help or comment is appreciated,
Axel
PS strange thing is: exactly the same Magisk version is working all fine on my Pixel 6 Pro I am testing right now ..,

SafetyNet Check fails

Hey guys,
I've got a problem with the SafetyNet check.
Yesterday I rooted my Galaxy S8 and installed the Magisk Manager App und the newest version Magisk v14
Now I wanted to install Snapchat, but I can't due to the fact that the safetynet check fails.
I already reinstalled Magisk, unchecked, checked the box with magisk hide, checked the box for google play and snapchat in magisk hide.
I don't know what to do anymore. Do you guys have any tips for me please?

Try the universal safetynet patch that's in the magisk forum somewhere. I would link it but I'm in my phone atm and out.
Edit: here https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/xiaomi-safetynet-fix-t3600431 - install it in twrp, not through magisk manager
Also, next time please post your magisk log here so that someone who knows what they are doing can look at it
I have seen someone else's log here, suggesting that you may need a patched or custom kernel for it to be supported. I don't have a Samsung phone so I can't confirm though.

Thank you, I uninstalled xposed framework and used the unsu script and it worked for me.
But now I've got another question. How do i get xposed work for my phone without failing the safetynet check?
I wanted to install snappref but it won't work this way

For the moment there is no such possibility if Xposed is installed on Nougat to SafetyNet failed, without Xposed is SafetyNet Pass Green.
Ok thank you, where can I read if it is available?
You Can install universal safetynet fix on recovery mode

Magisk 16 Now TV detecting root

Has anyone else experienced issues with nowtv detecting root.
Now TV updated the app recently was running on magisk 15.3 fine, then started to detect a modified boot img. Its on a Samsung Galaxy a6.
I wiped the tablet and started fresh last night, stock rom, upgraded to Magisk 16, get the same message again on now tv, that its a modifed boot img.
Have it hidden within magisk hide (this used to work)
All other streaming services are working fine (Netflix, amazon)
It passes the safety net test fine.

Having the same issue this end too if anyone can point us in the right direction.

If none of that works, maker sure to provide logs (it's described in the link).
I fixed it by repackaging/hiding the magisk app
Sorry, noob question but what do you mean?

liboemcrypto disabler
Hi, I found the final solution. The liboemcrypto disabler module is for us. I used it on Redmi 5 Plus with OmniROM 8.1 20180812 and Magisk 16.6. I tried everything and it seems to me crazy in SafetyNet, which perhaps does not even have to do. Then I installed the module in question, restarted and everything works perfectly. Thanks to "ianmacd".

Safetynet checks failing with Magisk 20.4

hi, i just flashed my xiaomi mix phone with Magisk 20.4. everything is new but the safetynet checks are failing.
i have previously tried on riru and edxposed. the checks say YES but i still cannot load pokemon go. i think those fixes are fake and not working, Google seems to be able to detect it still.
Can anyone help?
thanks.

Having the exact same issue with my Mix 3. Just flashed a few moments ago. Been looking at the other threads and it seems that no fix works as of now. Hoping that it isn't permanent as Google is cracking down on unlocked bootloaders.
Try to hide what you want via magisk hide.
Sorry, but that is not helpful. Same thing here. Device passed SafetyNet on 20.3. After upgrade to 20.4 it fails. What can I do to figure out what changed?
please refer here to set it up in your phone.
Be notice: If you don't use edxposed, just skip it. If you do, please remember to install canary version of edxposed in Edxposed manager !

Thank you! You were right, this was not caused by the Magisk upgrade, but by EdXposed. After upgrading to Canary version SafetyNet passes again.
I'd also like to add (in case someone stumbles across this thread looking for answers) that Magisk v20.4+ has MagiskHide disabled by default. On a fresh install you will have to enable it before Hide will be able to do it's thing.

Question [Solved] Root and Gpay?

Hi guys
I recently decided to root my Exynos S21U, all fine to far but I'm fighting to get Google Pay to work properly - so far without success.
Has anybody here got a rooted S21U with working Gpay and could kindly share what you did to make it work?
Thanks,
Axel
U dont need root to have google pay.
Download apk from here and install it on your device:

I don't think he's rooting to get Google Pay.
He wants a rooted phone, but is dealing with the side effect that it renders GPay un-usable.
Correct me if I'm wrong @s3axel
BTW @s3axel , have you tried Magisk Hide?
Yes, my device is rooted and I want to get Gpay to work
What I tried so far, all without success (of course all With Magisk Hide enabled for at least Gpay, Google Play Services and Google Framework)
- Magisk Stable
- Magisk Canary
- Props Magisk module
- Safetynet Fix 1.1.1
Funny enough everything is working fine in my other phone (Mi11U) with Magisk Stable and Magisk Hide enabled, nothing else...
Thus I was curious for reports from people who use their S21U rooted and with Gpay to learn what I need to do.....

It's possible to make it work (I'm on S21 Ultra 5G, latest Magisk canary, AUC8).
Follow these instructions to the letter and you'll get going ;-)
Working: Magisk with Google Pay as of gms 17.1.22 on Pie
Ok. I tried this and it worked on gms 17.1.22, allowing one to add cards and pay in store. Warning YMMV, but this is the process I did to get this working. One caveat is that I suspect users will have to reverse some step if gms is updated and...

By the way, once you succeed in make it work, I suggest you update the thread title with something like [SOLVED] or [WORKING], so other newcomers can benefit from it

S20 FE - Android 12 Magisk and Pokemon Go Issues

Hello everybody i recently update to Android 12 One UI 4 in my S20 FE... and use magisk stable version (23)
Then in A12 magisk app installed but not rooted then in Frija discord server tell me magisk stable isn´t working on A12 what i need to have magisk working is using an alpha version on the A12 rom.
So i flashed the A12 and installed all normal with that.
But in alpha magisk versions the "Magisk Hide" function is gone replaced by Magisk Zygisk. so i say okay i hide the magisk detection over Pokemon Go and repack the magisk app.
But running pokemon go with this configuration it doesn´t let me sign in my account, i try google, facebook, trainers club and only still "Charging" and sends the message "An error ocurred trying sign in later" or something like that.
The point is i can play with magisk alpha and her Zygisk function.
Someone has A12 and Pokemon Go with root working correctly?
I would greatly appreciate your feedback.
