AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the LAOS team will if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. How do I enable software buttons?
A. Go to Aicp Extras/Navigation bar, and enable it.
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I keep losing root with Magisk, how do I fix it?
A. Check this out. If that doesn't work for you, ask for help in this thread, read or ask in the Magisk thread on XDA or just re-flash Magisk!
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Oreo. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine
KERNEL:
The kernel in this ROM follows LAOS source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use the LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. The Zipfile gets saved in the "aicp_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!

Sir already done it but the dialer is not working.I have also wiped dalvic and cache after installing the rom
Hi,
Your rom is very stable for the most part, although I have discovered some problems so far:
1. System Ui crashes when changing the ssystem style color under display settings and style accent color does not change at all, even after reboots and clearing cahce & dalvik
2. The lockscreen takes a second to appear after pressing the power button, but no problem when going in through ambient deisplay.
3. Default weather provider does not recognize installed weather apps.
Thank you for your work on this great rom for our device.
Edit:
Also, the Android P transition effects look awesome. Could you port similar features to our device if possible.
What are the bugs in the ROM..is camcorder bug fixed in this ROM and what battery life of the ROM

Will report later.
First looks are great. Very encouraging.
Thanks ?
One day later:
Rooted with magisk.
I'm impressed. Response is very good. Battery is fine up to now. (I've read that after some days battery becomes worse??? We'll see ? and have hope.) As I am not a gamer and I use my phone mostly as agenda ? and for quick search and information and of course as a phone, I can only give my impression of the basic functions. I don't use Bluetooth. I have to test GPS.
?
Camcorder and camera working normal ?
One day later: as you expected is GPS working fine.
After 2wks still using this rom. Nice and snappy. No issues.
I had to flash your Whatsapp fix.

How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
NOTE:
WE ARE ENCRYPTED (FILE BASED FORCED ENCRYPTION). So if you are unencrypted format data partition or use any no_verity solution you want. We don't support it.
Files to download before starting:
* Download stable OxygenOS full zip 10.3.2 from here.
(XDA thread for reference)
* Download TWRP image & zip Installer from Mauronofrio
* Download AICP ROM (Link)
* Download latest OpenGapps nano or micro package for ARM64 & Android 10.0 from here
Setting the phone into a "clean" device state and/or flash AICP for the first time:
(e.g. coming from another custom ROM)
1. Connect the phone to a PC.
2. Reboot to bootloader and boot your device into recovery mode:
Code:
fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-18-enchilada-Q-mauronofrio.img
.
3. Wipe the System, Cache, and Data.
4. Flash the latest OxygenOS zip & Flash TWRP Installer zip.
5. Reboot to Recovery.
6. Flash OxygenOS zip again (to make sure it is on both slots) & TWRP Installer zip.
7. Reboot to Recovery again.
8. Flash the AICP ROM zip. You don't need to flash twrp zip anymore since we build it with rom.
9. Reboot to Recovery once again.
10. Flash OpenGApps (nano recommended) package and latest Magisk if you want to get rooted.
11. Reboot.
Installing ROM Updates ("dirty flashing") MANUALLY
1. Reboot to Recovery.
2. Flash Substratum rescue zip if you have a theme applied or uninstall the theme completely.
3. Flash the AICP ROM zip. You don't need to flash twrp zip anymore since we build it with rom.
4. Reboot to Recovery.
5. Flash OpenGApps package.
6. Flash Magisk zip, if you want to be rooted.
7. Reboot.
We recommend to use integrated Updater via AicpExtras to update system since it will maintain gapps and magisk. Note that update process is slow and it will be faster if you maintain the device awake.
Currently supported Root Solution:

Yes, no screenshots. LOL.
IMPORTANT.
Before start to flash it:
* Download 5.1.11 Firmware OnePlus6Oxygen_22_OTA_015_all_1808102118_770880.zip and move to your internal SDCard.
* Download TWRP: twrp-3.2.3-0-enchilada.img
* Download TWRP installer zip: twrp-installer-enchilada-3.2.3-0.zip and move that to your internal SD card.
* Download AICP Weekly and copy to your internal SD card.
* Download latest OpenGapps nano package for arm64 and copy to your internal SD card.
1. Go to bootloader mode and boot your device into recovery mode: (use the lastest official TWRP)
fastboot boot twrp-3.2.3-0-enchilada.img
Click to collapse
2. wipe system, data and caches
3. flash OnePlus6Oxygen_22_OTA_015_all_1808102118_770880.zip + TWRP installer zip in a row.
4. reboot to recovery
5. flash OnePlus6Oxygen_22_OTA_015_all_1808102118_770880.zip again.
This way, we are sure that we have same firmware on both A&B slot's.
6. Boot into system
Now, we are ready to flash AICP
a. Go to recovery again. ( TWRP was flashed already...)
b. Wipe system, data and caches
c. Flash AICP.zip + TWRP installer
d. Reboot to recovery
e. Flash GAPPS + Magisk 17.1 (optiional)
f. Reboot to system.
On dirty flash:
** Repeat steps between a-f.
You have to flash TWRP installer after every ROM.zip update then boot into other slot and flash GAPPS + Magisk (optional)
** NO NEED TO CLEAN DALVİK/CACHES
** NEVER switch slots manually from recovery.
Enjoy !!!
Installed it and now testing  good work for the amazing ROM

Sorry, only for my interest. To use nano package instead of pico is only for the face-unlock thing or also for the account login problems I sometimes could read in other threads or of other reason, perhaps you can tell me please.
After setup AICP, can I uninstall e.g. google search and Device Health Services and face detection/unlock stuff ? Thanks in advance.

You can allways try with pico package... Try and report please
@csolanol or @semdoc , what is the reason to have the os on both slots ?
Also nessesary if I am coming from Stock-OOS 5.1.11 with July Security, just rooted and TWRP ?
The one we should flash is the rollback version which you have to flash if you
come from a higher security patch or better if you come from Android 9 to 8, but it don't format data ? So this ROM has July or August patch ?
Sorry when asking again, makes me all a lit bit confused, on other 8.1 custom roms we don't have to do so. Then I can flash and tell about pico package.

You have to. For example you flash ob2 it flashes to one slot. Not both. So you flash the ob2 then boot to twrp technically your now on ob2. So you flash a rom again that's on pie that will flash it to the 8.1 slot because your already on the pie slot. So if you keep both slots either pie or Oreo you won't have any problems with different firmware and can flash your life away and if your going from just to September which is what I'm assuming this is then you will probably not have to format data. But if you flash back to July you will. Or any other security patch before September.
@joemossjr , that's a really comprehensive answer, more than one thanks worthy.

Actually flashing procedure is same for ALL ROM's...
Trivial Part: You have to flash same stock ROM on both A&B slots... Latest Oreo firmware If you are planning to flash any oreo based custom ROM, or latest OB If you are going to flash pie based custom ROM, respectively... Or you will loose yourself in endless bootloops....
After that... As you may noticed, the flashing row in TWRP is same...
FYI.

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device specific repositories.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out, if it concerns our code base. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. Information about Xposed, EdXposed or Riru Core can be obtained from the XPosed General forums .
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is the usual behaviour on flashing a new official build by (or using) the build-in updater service.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Q. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the Dalvik, Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Reboot and set up your device.
7. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
8. Reboot your device.
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.3 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

If you are coming from a custom vendor then have to flash the vendor and then wipe data, format data and boot.
If you are coming from A11 MIUI then this will definitely not boot.
If you are coming from any stock vendor based roms then dont need to flash the vendor, wipe data and flash will work perfectly fine.
but can you change the amount of volume steps in it?

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but the discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Does this ROM include GApps or do I have to flash them separately?
A. No, we do not include prebuilt GApps, because of possible licensing issues with Google Software and because some users do not want GApps preinstalled as they want to use alternative services like MicroG or just prefer flashing a GApps "flavor" of their liking.
Q. Does this ROM use the camera or gallery app from stock?
A. It depends on the device. In most cases these apps include proprietary libs/code and cannot be included in the device trees on Github or we risk having the ROM banned from Github. In this case, we might try to make them installable (separate from the ROM zip), or we might provide a version of these apps with the ROM that doesn't include any proprietary libs. It's also sometimes the case that these apps are simply not included because we didn't feel the need to do so for the device in question.
Q. Does this ROM have Extended/Scrolling screenshot?
A. No, extended screenshot was implemented using an app extracted and modified from manufacturer firmware/system images and is proprietary as well. It led to the closing of many ROM's sources on GitHub.
Q. Does this ROM have FaceUnlock?
A. No, FaceUnlock was also an app extracted and modified from some manufacturers. Even Google removed the Trusted Face (FaceUnlock) feature for security reasons on Android 9.0/10.x. Adding the modified feature did the same to ROM sources as described above.
Q. Can you add (insert favorite weather provider)?
A. No, we cannot add more weather providers as the implementations change and we (the ROM) now have to pay for most services, and that is not cheap, so we decided to use the best free service that we could find, the only way to add your own is for users to apply for their own API key to use their preferred service.
Q. Does this ROM have private official builds with the above proprietary libs included?
A. No, we believe in open source software, this way users know what's in the build and can replicate it themselves, all official builds are built on our build servers using the public sources from github and no one can (or would) add their own private sources to the build.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?

Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?

How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
On Clean Flash: mandatory for first install !!!At the beginning, if you are on Stock OOS 11 ROM with locked bootloader, please follow the instructions for unlocking bootloader here: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/kebab/install
1. Download the ROM and GApps to your PC with proper adb & fastboot setup.
Also download to your PC kebab-recovery.img from HERE
2. Boot to bootloader and run in cmd (windows) / terminal (linux)
fastboot flash recovery kebab-recovery.img
4. Boot to recovery. Tap on Factory Reset (this will erase everything on your device) then return to main menu
3. Connect your device to your PC and tap on Apply Update -> Apply from ADB and
4. Flash the ROM zip file using
adb sideload aicp_kebab_r-16.1-WEEKLY-{date}.zip
5. Once its finished, reboot to recovery to flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work). This is mandatory becoz will switch automatically current slot and will flash GAPPS.
Once it boots to recovery, tap on Apply Update -> Apply from ADB then run
adb sideload GAPPS.zip
6. Reboot and set up your device.
7. Reboot back into recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The main workflow for flashing via recovery:
reboot to recovery -> adb sideload ROM.zip -> reboot recovery -> adb sideload GAPPS.zip -> reboot to system

With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS), we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q-R with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device-specific repositories.
If there are any bugs we will sort them out if it concerns our codebase. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!

You tell...
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is the usual behavior on flashing a new official build by (or using) the build-in updater service.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache, and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution, and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to perform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to lose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to lose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterward.
Using the ROM:
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. Do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get, and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section on the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android R. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM zip file.
GAPPS are included in ROM. As we still don't have TWRP for eleven builds, flashing process is a "little bit" different than usual.
If you are comming from Stock ROM.
** Be sure you have adb enabled from Developper Settings
** Download AICP Recovery from HERE
** Boot to Download mode.
$ fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
** Now boot to recovery
-- 1. Factory Reset
-- 2. Apply Update -> Apply from ADB
-- 3. flash your build using adb sideload ROM.zip from your PC
If you are comming from other Custom ROM:
** boot to recovery
-- Factory Reset
-- Apply Update -> Apply from ADB
-- flash your build using adb sideload ROM.zip from your PC. Please note that it will ends with following error: "adb: failed to read command: Success" Ignore it.
-- Reboot and Enjoy !!!
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
For flash using the built-in OTA app: Till we start official builds from AICP servers:
** Connect your device, enable USB debugging and Adb Root under Settings -> Developper Options
** move the downloaded build to your internal sdcard
** Open cmd window (for Windows) or terminal (for Linux systems) - make sure you have adb drivers installed !!!
** $ adb root
$ adb shell setenforce 0 (your device will switch to Permissive selinux mod till Updater finishes flashing local update)
** Go to AicpExtras -> Update Center -> Click on 3 dots on right upper corner -> Choose File.. -> Choose your builld from local storage -> Start update
** After reboot your device will boot in Enforcing Selinux mode again.
or Flash via adb sideload:
** reboot to recovery
** enable ADB and flash downloaded build using adb sideload
** Please note that it will ends with following error: "adb: failed to read command: Success" (becoz of recovery itself). Ignore it.
** Reboot and Enjoy !
No need to flash clean on every update from older builds.
Currently supported Root Solution: Only ADB ROOT !!!
Magisk versions >= Magisk 21.1 zip is the key.
ADB Root is working fine, but you can flash, test and report your experience with Magisk
** Check 2nd post for further information.

GAPPS are included in the build. Except Markup Google & SetupWizard (they are extracted from latest RedFin dump), all apps are extracted from latest Op8 Pro dump.
Well... After trying all the other roms for the 8t i went back and decided to stay on OOS.
But now I'm tempted
@semdoc hi. I would like to ask you if it's possible to you make feature builds working on the other 8 series. I like very much aicp rom and I have the 8P version. It would be very nice and cool to have this rom to all 8series. I'm sure many people would join to it. Please think about it ( and make it )
Thanks keep strong, healthy and keep doing your stuff

In most cases, these apps include proprietary libs/code and cannot be included in the device trees on GitHub or we risk having the ROM banned from GitHub.
A. No, we believe in open source software, this way users know what's in the build and can replicate it themselves, all official builds are built on our build servers using the public sources from GitHub, and no one can (or would) add their own private sources to the build.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is how users can/should install updates most of the time, this can be done with the built-in updater service or with a custom recovery.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A 1. For "A only" devices: Wipe the System, Cache, and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution, and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to perform that task for you.
A 2. For "A/B" devices": Wipe the ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, reboot to the recovery, flash GApps, your preferred root solution, and reboot.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android S. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM zip file.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP is recommended, the lineage recovery is a great alternative however, it will not decrypt the internal storage so you will have to flash the rom with adb sideload or usb OTG or with an external sdcard).
3. Wipe the System (DO NOT WIPE THE SYSTEM ON A/B DEVICES!), Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
4. Flash the ROM zip file (reboot to recovery before flashing anything else if you have an "A/B" device).
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work)
6. Reboot and set up your device.
7. You can then reboot to recovery and flash the root solution of your choice if you want to, and then boot back to the system.
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on A/B Devices.
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.4 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
Instructions for OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates) on "A only" devices (not A/B):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices, you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.
Open the updater app, download the update, then press install, press reboot when prompted, you will be taken to TWRP, there isn't any need to flash GApps separately
Instructions for OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates) on "A/B" devices:
Open the updater app, download the update, then press install and wait for the process to finish (feel free to let it run in the background), then press reboot when prompted, there isn't any need to flash GApps separately

MMS on Sprint/T-mo doesn't seem to be working
Hello, after flashing this ROM used instructions in header(both with gapps and without it), phone is stuck on AICP logo with changing colors. I tried different ways, used data wipe/format, nothing helped. TWRP Flash isn't working it fails when you try to flesh it with TWRP
serving: '.\aicp_barbet_s-17.1-WEEKLY-20220804.zip' (~47%) adb: failed to read command: No error
Just try to install latest linage, everything boot fine, without any issues, the same for bliss. Only this ROM issue. I also tried previous build, it also not loading.
Hello, if anyone tried to boot latest ACIP?
Hello installed latest and prelatest release, it's booted, but esim isn't working
Hello everyone! As I can see, current AICP 17.1 is still supporting as nightly build, but this version based on AOSP 12. Is 13th version of AOSP will be available for Pixel 5a?

How to install step by step please tell me
@Siluxsept hello! I guess that your latest weekly build was made for dirty flash. Can you provide fastboot image for clean installation?
Moreover, I guess if I try to flash your build on my latest stock rom some errors will come up because of different android build's versions which AICP is based on and stock firmware is based on. Maybe I'm not fully correct about it idk.
Anyway, here is no any instructions for clean installation. I think it needs to clear the misunderstanding
Thanks!
