We need to have a lot of Mi8 SE related threads, and we currently don't have as much as we need.
When we stockpile relevant threads, we can ask a mod to create a separate section.
Although I don't understand why it's hard for mods to make one separate section under the Mi8 forums just like what was done with the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Lite.
I agree. Mi 8 SE should have a different section. Maybe they are busy promoting oneplus.

thats exactly what i was thinking. maybe one mi 8 forum but with separate sections for mi 8 se and explorer edition. just to avoid clutter.
I'm a newbie entering into the world of XDA. I have heard about XDA many times but never sort of showed a special interest towards this but suddenly i thought of installing a custom rom in my device redmi k20 pro. This is where this forum came into my interests and helped me a lot.
Now, I'm very much into this freedom in the Android, I'm trying out every new rom in my device all thanks to the developers and all the members in this forum and so I will make sure that I follow all the forum rules, be friendly with everyone and help all to my limits.
Thankyou!

Hello everybody! I'm a proudly owner of a Xiaomi Raphael. Since my first android phone, back in the middle ages, I always asked myself: "why do I have to pay for something that is actually not mine? Why someone else have to decide how I'm intended to use a product that I've paid for and when it's too old?" Now, since I've discovered that my two years old phone will not receive any future android updates, I've decided to mod it starting from scratch with zero knowledge about the matter. I'm here to learn and ask a lot of maybe silly but never stupid questions.
@UncivilStar
Welcome to XDA, and I hope you'll find all the support and assistance you require. Enjoy your times here, and if you believe you need assistance by the moderators team do not hesitate to contact the moderator of your desire or simply use the report function.
As far as I believe to remember, the Raphael equals to the Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. If I correct then this forum might be interesting for you:

why there's no custom rom yet?
My guess is the price point.
Higher price - less people buy it in total. I can assume that fewer users mean fewer developers, and less interest when the market for your ROM is smaller.
If there's a technical explanation, I'd be glad to learn.
well i have a fund raising for a dev to get a Mi 11 Pro (shares the same development as Ultra) but it's not that active. Did the same for Mi 10 Community and ROMs were shared after some months like this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-11-0-umi-project-404-rippa-official-28-11-2020.4196093/
(same developer)

To be honest the mi11 u was a total mess. Still has heating issues, battery is running empty as soon as you unlock the device, camera ist still way under its potential and so on. This was my 10th Xiaomi but definitely the last one. I don't want a phone which performs good on paper only. 1200€ for such a disappointment
The mi11 u is crap and anybody who says differently has never used a good phone.
The gn2 is beaten by the gn1 in vivo devices, the s21u has 5000 mAh too but lasts like 3 hours more, the s21u has the better zoom, software on the global version takes weeks for a security update, the tiny display on the rear still can't be used for video calls or filming, etc.
Software is the biggest Probleme on Global devices tho because Xiaomi thought it is a good idea to throw 2000 devices on the market.
Xiaomi promised so much but delivered nothing.
I happen to like my 11 Ultra, but that's an *drumroll* opinion! We're all entitled to one.
And this isn't even the topic. We're discussing the lack of roms and possible reasons for it - I'm sure that there are threads about personal opinions and thoughts.
Even if you don't like a certain device, please respect the fact that some of the people here spent money on it, don't come here with the intent of having their choices bashed and specifically for this thread - looking for ways to improve their experience. No need to shove anyone's nose into anything.

Now let's all take a deep breath, and get back on topic, shall we? But not in this thread. It will remain closed as a thread for this topic already exists: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/why-is-there-no-sign-of-a-custom-rom.4304301/. Please use the existing thread for continuing discussion.

Hi all,
on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro I absolutely need to get 4 (four) WhatsApp Business Lines installed.
I can use dual mode because of dual sim, but I'm unable to install a Mod apk all together to the official release.
Is there a workaround to make fool Android 12 (I'm waiting for the Orange Spain Branded MIUI 14) in order to fullfil my needs?
Hope to get some positive replies (no phone rooting please or my banking and pay apps will stop working).
Cheers.
