Hello, the update to EMUI 12 comes via OTA under Settings / System Updates / Software Updates and not via the Beta App this only serves to send any bugs and errors to Huawei. If you don't get one then you are not among the 200 beta testers.

I applied on the beta app but I think some time is needed to get the OTA, let's wait
I am running the EMUI12 beta in Germany and it works really well. The beta test originally had 1000 seats, only about 200 were taken by 19.12.21 (the closure date).
There is UX polish and few app improvements. New icons. Battery life is slightly improved vs. 11. In bluetooth you can now sync the volume setting with the phone volume. The left/right top scroll for notifications/settings is also nice. The new settings panel looks good. I have not noticed too many real differences, though.
The fact that it is based on Android 10 (kernel 4.14.116) is okay for me as 11 and 12 did not add any significant "core" functions. 10 added WPA3 and several other key functions. After that it was mostly UI stuff.
Face unlock is really fast now, this is nice. I have not had issues with 12, with 11 I had the occasional "hit miss".
Overall it is a good update for a 3 year old phone.
how long did you had to wait to get the OTA update? There is now emui 12 beta for P20 Pro and some others phones and I joined on 7.04 also 19 Days ago and I still didn't recive the update
The update to EMUI 12.00.123 stable came on March 29th, 2022 but I took part in the beta program. Come from Germany

I would only recommend it if you have poor signal strength.
You can use the same flash utility that you used to flash WM6.5 to your phone.
Just remove the WM6.5 *.nbf from the folder and put the radio *.nbf in the folder then run the update utility.

The link I posted above has some of the radios and most of them have the RUU flash utility as well.
If you’re looking for more radios you’ll have to use the search those are the only links I know.
