What? What the firmware is .75?
sorry i meant .72
30.12.112.72
Try to clean cache in settings-advanced
And also try to clean cache for phone app and/or call recording if it's separate app (I don't have ZF8 with me now).
If it doesn't help - then clean data of last two mentioned apps. But it's better to backup sensitive data (such phone calls list and etc.). I think it should help, otherwise only reset to factory default settings.
Mine also works fine on android 11, version WW30.12.112.72. I tested it just now.
done a factory reset all ok now thanks

Flashed CM13 and wanted to try out the C-apps package that was released a little while ago.
Did a full wipe, flashed CM13, Opengapps stock and than C-apps (as it overwrites some Google apps)
Everything loaded and works fine, except after I set up my id with True Caller and go to make a call Dialer force closes and won't keep popping up a message box saying it has stopped, even though the call goes through. Same thing happened when my wife called me as well. Phone rang and immediate force close while the ringer continued to ring and unable to answer the call or even see who's calling.
Should the C-apps be flashed first? The site doesn't have too much as far as what order to install it. I even reflashed the gapps package thinking it would bring back the Google Dialer and it didn't. I'll just go back to my backup for now.

Have the exact same issue but on CM13 by SultanXDA for OnePlus One, must be some compatibility issue, back to regular Gapps for now, I think I'll try to install true dialer from the playstore to get the same functionality, bc actually that's all I needed from Cyanogen.

How did you manage to delete the c-apps?

If I remember correctly I had to wipe everything and re-flash ROM, but I had a nandroid backup so I restored that.

As title says, I just upgraded to Oreo with OTA and I can't answer calls.
I can hear the phone ringing but nothing is displayed to accept/refuse the call.
I also tried using Google Dialer as a replacemente but nothing appears there too.
Dialer is present in the apps, and I can use it normally if opened. But even if I start a call from there I can't close it because the screen with the running call (the one with image and bottom keys for speakers, etc) is not appearing at all.
Phone is rooted with Magisk and TWRP.
Keeping your data intact please try to flash the full OOS 5.0 rom. OTA update might have screwed the system.

I tried again with Google Dialer and it's working. So it's a problem with stock dialer. Can anyone send me the stock dialer APK from OOS 5?
Are you by any chance using the 'Enable Native Call Recording' module in magisk? If yes, then get rid of that.

No, I knew that already. I only have the default ones that come with magisk (auto_mount, system, module.prop, update).
I think I just need to reinstall the stock dialer, but can't find the APK and I don't know how to extract it from the full zip system image.
I'll keep the google dialer in the meantime.

Try to clear dialer data. It same as reinstall
Im having the same issue, so let me know if you figure out the solution.
No problems should be there after upgrade.
This shows a problematic Oreo setup.
Better have a factory reset so all apps will be installed correctly.

Did you guys solve the problem?
I'm having the same problem and have enabled call recording using magisk. I tried upgrading to 5.0.2 and still the same. Please advice.
Hi XDA Community,
I'm having trouble accessing my the record feature with front facing camera on many apps except the stock camera app . On some apps it wouldn't even allow me to switch to my front facing camera at all; when I pressed the switch camera it would revert to the back camera. Apps like WeChat does allow me to take pictures using the front facing for selfies, but not video chat.
Things I tried so far.. reboot my phone, clearing caches, uninstalling useless apps (I still have a lot of space), checked the permissions on all apps, reset the app preferences. enabled camera, I spent almost three hours checking for answers. I need to use the front facing video capture. Please help. Much love and thanks!

Ok, we need more info - are you rooted, which OS do you have right now, did you flash any mods?
I would start with factory reset and if doesn't help, reflashing the ROM.

I'm only using Magisk v16 and xposed which I have been using for a very long time and no issues has occurred with them. Is there anyway not to reflash? Thank you
Just make a backup and check if the problem persists on a clean OS.
Hi guys,
So I have the latest version of Android Messages but i still have the old design. I've been trying to uninstall and reinstall it but still not working. I've also tried to reboot my phone and everything but it still stuck on old design.
If anyone can help me I really appreciate it.
Thanks.
It's probably a server side push. I tried the version that first had dark mode but then Google pulled it
Can you tell which version you got?
I had the update, dark mode completely flips and app doesn't open. Switched off the dark mode and all fine. (On pixel experience treble ROM)

You're clearly using emui. Probably caused by the treble ROM, although I've read reviews on Google play saying the same (most likely unrooted phones)

I am on same version of Android Messages and CLT-L29 8.1.0.152 (C636) with no issues. except not able to set custom notification sms sounds for each person like I could before.
Pretty sure after I installed the updated version I force stopped the app then reopened and its been running fine

Why wouldn't I be using emui? There is no mention of what ROM is in use in this thread??
Also I am rooted.
Magisk 16.4
PS: There is a tweak that can be done but this was reverted back afterwards, can't remember it exactly but just Google it.
After the most recent update the dark settings were listed and I've had no issues
you need to enable dark mode, force close the app, clear cache.
then it should work.

Hi there,
I started experiencing a weird issue with my camera after installing March 2020 update yesterday. When I try opening the camera app (including the google cam as well) it just "keeps stopping". Also the flashlight is no longer available - it is greyed out and cannot be clicked. My phone is stock, not rooted, not modified.
Has anyone experienced the same issue?
Any ideas on how to resolve it are appreciated!
If you have updated from 9 to 10 without factory reset, I'm afraid you'll experience more glitches.
