Alarm notification not disappearing from active display - Google Pixel 5 Questions & Answers

When the screen is off, the active display shows an alarm for 8:00 but I don't even have one enabled.
This bug is annoying. Anyone else run into it/know a fix?

[Q] Active Display & Led Issue

I have the Dirty Unicorns Rom on my SP and have Active Notifications turned on. When I dismiss a notification from Active Notifications the LED continues to flash (I have to unlock the screen to stop LED). Does anyone know a work around so that LED stops flashing when notification is dismissed. Or is it a case of using LED notification OR Active Notification not both.
Cheers

[Q] Update 5.0.1: incoming calls do not turn the screen on

I got the phone yesterday and love it. After the initial setup I received OTA update 5.0.1 so installed it.
What I noticed that when I receive a call the screen will not turn on so I have no idea who is calling!! I turned the ambient light option off and then the screen turns on during incoming calls.
So is the ambient light buggy? is it because of the last update?
I love the ambient light feature and would love to keep it on. Is there anyway of solving this?
Thanks.
I have the same issue with ambient light on or off
Turn off developer options and reboot.
If it works you can turn on developer options again.
Thanks guys but I think the phone solved the issue. I did nothing. Now I can get calls and the ambient light is on as well. Probably a bug

How to prevent turning screen on by arm gesture?

Is it possible not to turn screen on when I rise my hand? When I ride bike the watch turns screen on rather frequently and it causes huge battery drain. Of course, I can enable theater mode but the watch stops notify of calls, messages, etc (vibration I mean). Is there any way to disable the gesture and have notifications at the same time (tasker, autowear, ...)?
The option to enable/disable 'Tilt to wake screen' is in the watch's settings in the Android Wear app on your phone.
Wow, I've never seen this option before Thanks!

Screen lights up with every notification. How do I stop this?

Just came from an LG G5 and never had this issue.
My phone screen turns on every time I get a notification whether it's textra, gmail, snapchat, etc. I even have the option of "wake up screen" in textra set to off. I can't find an option anywhere to turn this off for my notifications. Am I missing something?
On my G5 my phone would just sound and my LED notification would blink, then I would have all the notifications on my lock screen when I turned on the phone.

Google Home Hub Issues

Got the new Home Hub. Already have two issues. I'm curious if others have found a solution:
1. The screen get TOO dark at night. Even though I have the screen timout setting turned off, and the Auto-Brightness Offset setting to max brightness, the screen still shuts (almost) completely off in a dark room. At night, when your eyes have adjusted to the dark, you can still only BARELY see the white numbers of the clock against the black background. People were worried that it wouldn't get dark enough for nightstand use, but this is ridiculous. Any way to brighten that up a bit? By the way, this happens even if I turn ambient brightness off.
2. The main purpose of this device will be as a bedside alarm clock (replacing my aging Nexus 7). I've figured out how to set alarms, but not how to change the alarm sound. I do not like the default tune it plays. Any way to change that? I know I can have it play music, but I do actually prefer an alarm sound -- just not the default one.
Anybody have similar issues? Any other issues that I haven't noticed yet?
Yes. Exact same experience. I'm honestly pretty confused by the settings and the language of which mode is what. The offset doesn't seem to do anything at all for me.
I haven't had that experience with screen brightness. When I turn off the Adaptive feature, the brightness doesn't seem to adapt.
I can confirm that you cannot currently change the alarm sound, though I think I saw that option is coming this month or next.
Go into the Display settings for your Home Hub and set the minimum brightness from dim to bright. This makes the numbers much easier to read at night when in dark mode.
