I recently decided to try a few choice versions of MIUI 12.5 and MIUI 13 GSIs on Redmi 9C but I have been hitting brick walls.
Phhusson on Github says that Redmi 9C has an A/B partition but my phone clearly has no A/B partition.
A-only GSIs are flashing but are not booting either by fastbootd or PBRP.
Anyone who has managed to test MIUI or other GSIs on the Redmi 9C or do we wait for Android 11 update to see if it is a problem with the current implementation?

Can anyone plz put up a guide step by step to flash android 10 gsi on k20 pro? I have flashed as phhusson directed but it goes straight to fastboot leaving no option but mi flash recovery rom.

How to fix it?
There's nothing to fix... It's just the way Xiaomi set up the device.
Generally that just means you have to follow the instructions to install Magisk in recovery:

Xiaomi are funny though, and it might be that you still need to install to the boot image, even if the device reports no ramdisk in boot. See the last paragraph on this page for details:

because everytime i flash an unofficial version of TWRP i mess up my phone. its hard to pick up a version, etc. I had to downgrade my miui version 3 times, and still i messed up. i lost trust for twrp.
when i wanted to flash lingeageOS it always rebooted back to recovery and said that no OS is installed. so i gave up on custom roms.
currently my miui is 12.0.3.0, in case you want to help me.

There are many issues with TWRP and PBRP for MERLIN, my friend.
You may try other LK partitions:

So i have a Redmi 9c (Angelica) 4/128 ID: M2006C3MG whitch is OEM unlocked (after waiting one week) then i followed all the steps to flash the recovery but everytime i have a black screen instead, i checked adb and it says that my device is in recovery mode.
I even reinstalled the official rom with XiaomiTools V2 but i got same results.
Here are the custom recoveries i tried :

i also tried to port twrp following: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-porting-twrp-without-source.3843473/ but i found that my stock recovery was different from the other (probably because of my Mtk chip ?) and it didn't work.
I spent a whole day searching working guides but i think that i'm the only one with this issue... i appreciate any help !
I fixed it by porting the telegram redmi 9c twrp into my redmi 9c...

Hi my Redmi 9c is global too but it seems I can't flash any ROM on it , it just bootloop
Do you know how to flash any rom on it
