Here a new Famous Custom ROM LineageOS for your device created by THOR虎 (info about him HERE)

My opinion after 24H :
Everything works great (call, sms, internet) rom very stable and quick, GPS on navigation (WAZE) and Bluetooth are smooth and quick too.
Battery life seems a little bit weak, and mms don't work properly but for me it's ok for a daily use

it's faster and lighter (rom and ram) and its android 7.1.2

Do i need to wipe apps and internal storage in recovery?

It's better to do a clean install, but you can just wipe the system

What version of Gapps should i use to flash for this ROM ?

I did a clean install, even format the partition, but after reboot, the boot animation screen just keep flashing, never get into the setup wizard. Right now, I flash another Lineage 14.1 rom and using it.

just installed the Lineage 15.1 Oreo 8.1 on my mi note pro but can't find Root Access option after installing
2 different SuperSu addons & off course developer options are activated ..

The gps does not work well, hooks and unlocks satellites continuously, tried with different apps

VoLTE not yet. The Video recording was fixed in this rom.

Found bug.. IR Bug..and the video recording is not clear..dark on recording

Does Netflix work with this rom? (Does it pass Safetynet?)

use battery saving mode for now, most non-miui roms has that exact issue, too. specifically, using high accuracy location service while on data will cause a reboot after a while

Clear cache in twrp and Download gps reset app from playstore and calibrate gps...I have done the same now no reboots btw I am using mokee

Iris sensor does not work because AOSP upstream does not support that yet.
IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to LineageOS.
Encryption isn't working for S9+/S9, works on N9

Reboot to recovery
Wipe data and cache (required if you switch from other ROMs)
Flash the vendor image
Flash the latest build (then gapps and magisk if needed)
Reboot
How to update builds?
Do not wipe anything unless stated in the changelog
Flash only the rom.zip and it will automatically reinstall your gapps, magisk etc
use /system/addon.d if you would like to keep system mods after an update

Thank you so much for putting this together. Just purchased an s9+ will be downloading this when it arrives and give feedback. Are you experienced with GrapheneOS or CalyxOS? Those would be excellent to have available for the S9+ if there's anyone willing to take on those projects. They only seem to be available for a small handful of phones at the moment. In this day and age with everything that's going on in the world they would be invaluable to have available for more models.

Why is it different from yours after installation, and there is no Google app, where is something wrong,

The files in the re-partition post is failed to download...
Can somebody help to re-post? Or any other method that I can repartition the system space to 2GB..?

You need to use recovery to flash open gapps to get Google Apps.
