Hey everyone,
I was wondering if there is a sound equalizer/modifier like Viper4Android? (I couldn't get it to work, and nobody answers forum questions- so I assume it's a dead project?)
Do you use the system settings or something else?
Thanks!
Using this for quite a while rather than mess with the hassle of V4A. No root needed

turn legacy mode on and install the audio modification library

This is an article I've been meaning to write for a little while now, since audio on the Ubuntu part of the Atrix is a bit tricky.
The basic idea is this: when in lapdock mode, it would be nice to have a music player that's designed for that form factor. As such, a decent starting point is the default GNOME music management program for Ubuntu 9.04: Rhythmbox.

However, after installing Rhythmbox, three plugin errors pop up. Two of them don't matter much to me (the jamendo and the Magnatune Store ones) and can be disabled, but cover art should work. A bit of Google footwork reveals that installing python-gst0.10 fixes that (and the stores too).
Unfortunately, an attempt to then play a FLAC causes... playback with no sound. Based on a previous post, pulseaudio appears to serve as the audio backbone. Rhythmbox, on the other hand, uses GStreamer, so that connection might not be working properly.
Another Google search ends up bringing up a wiki page that suggests that gnome-media needs to be installed so that we can run gstreamer-properties.
But, the pulseaudio plugin supposedly isn't installed. So, gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio needs to be installed as well.
And, then, finally! It's possible to play music via Rhythmbox! This should also allow any other GStreamer-based programs to output sound as well.
P.S. Yes, I like the occasionally bad joke, as the title implies.
who listens to flac media files anyways
awesome, thanks!
and as you suspected it does fix sound in other apps, like pidgin.
hope you don't mind i added it to my list.
I heard of it,installed if with installer and i can't get it to work like it should work on ton'y cm 10.1(4.7 gcc)
Equaliser works but i can't boost my audio for ringtones etc(changing those parameters doesn't work for me)
When i look at driver status it says (not enabled and no processing..bad)
Can someone provide me "what he did on his o2x with cm10.1" guide or suggestion?(or maybe allready modified file which works which i can push)
Is manual installation(modifying those files) required with cm10.1? Tnx alot :good:
Are you sure you installed correct drivers. For Tegra2 you have to choose "with VFP"

Yes,m8 even tried all others(only with vfp working),enabled in options of android (eq working and effects are working) but audio boost(db) not working.
I understood from penguses post that you can boost it like alsa mixer
Increase "Max Gain" in "Extra Loud" option and it will give some volume boost. Though it doesn't give that much boost that Alsa Mixer gives.

Tnx i had installed xtreme version, reverted to other, indeed it's working now,you also have to put on some music on play so you can see in stats that everything is ON which i also didn't know Tnx
Currently running SlimDragons 4.0 on Xiaomi Mi 5 7.1.2 and i can't get any audio mod to work.
Dolby getting stuck at boot anim, XTREMEMusic same thing.
AM3D Zirene app goes full white then crashes.
Only V4A works fully which is almost enough for my needs but i want to experiment with other mods
Any way to solve it without the selinux script?

am3d has very low compatibility with android N .
I have ported it alongwith Ahrion and I could say for sure that on Android N it works only for very few devices .?
Xtrememusic - may be due to conflicting libs
try ARISE latest alongwith magisk module as it has least conflictiing libs
Also dolby has some issues with MIUI as it internally has disabled support for dolby somwhere in settings apk .
Hi there!.
I'm here asking for help, again... about a problem I've been having since updating from Oreo and back then I could fix it in Pie big thanks to @TechGenius , the user that gave us a fix in this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/help/android-stock-equalizer-pie-snapdragon-t3896931
I was really, really so happy back then because I could upgrade my android without losing the one and only equalizer which I fallen in love with.
I'm a person that enjoys a lot listening to music and I became very dependant on this eq. I tried several others equalizers like viper4android, etc, to get detached to this one and give the others a try but none of them does it like the Snapdragon Audio+ in terms of quality, surrounding, clean bass and empowering the music.
I would love the Snapdragon Audio+ somehow to be implemented or ported to Android 10 Q even if unlocking bootloader &/or root the phone or anything more complex is necessary.
I wanted to ask you guys, if someone knows a way to implement this or could bring a solution to this I'd be really really grateful. I miss that equalizer so much and I tried several things to see if I can bring a fix but with my short knowledge I couldn't do anything.
The app fix that worked in Pie doesn't work anymore in Android 10 Q and I'm sadly in Pie again because of that equalizer...
The problem with the fix (in stock Android Q) is: The app installs with success and the interface changes but the equalizer itself doesn't work anymore, it doesn't change the sound at all, the volume is bugged and also the "bass boost" bar, the "surround sound" bar and the reverb doesn't work anymore.

Hello, we start with the new series.
In this topic, we will come up with our audio enhancement series and Spotify topics. But first, let's start with the sound boost Before we start
This topic is for Galaxy A51 Series.
Let's start, the Samsung Galaxy A51 satisfies the normal speaker sound, but when I listen to the song with the headset, the sound level could be even higher and better quality.
Step 1; Let's open Dolby Atmos.

Sound Enhancement via Application
Equalizer: With 12 different presets customized for all kinds of music styles, this application can give a successful result especially in bass tones. It can also add virtual reverb effects to sounds and interfaces that provide depth as if they were in different environments.
Equalizer FX: This application, which cares about quality rather than loudness, is an application that virtualizes the sound channels and adds effects like stereo even if the speaker is mono. You can continue your way with 12 presets, or you can set your own manual setting that is nice to your ear.
Minimal Equalizer-Volume Boost: Equalizer allows you to adjust sound effect levels so you can get the most out of your Music or Sound system. Apply Equalizer Presets by Music Type or quickly create your own custom preset with the 5-band Equalizer controller.
