Magisk modules:
GApps Add-on: Flash this Magisk module in order to systemlessly install Android System Intelligence and Google app, thus enabling Live Captions and other functions. This should also work on LineageOS 18.1 if for whatever reason your GApps package doesn't already contain these apps.
Camera patches: This Magisk module enables the long exposure for Camera PX, 2K video recording for both front and back cameras (with OpenCamera or similar), it enables near 4K video resolution for the front camera (with OpenCamera or similar) and it gives Camera PX the proper SELinux permissions in order to process HDR+ images faster. Only use this module on crDroid 7.x.
VoLTE: This Magisk module makes the system always show the VoLTE, ViLTE and VoWiFi toggles regardless of your carrier, useful for people whose service provider supports this options but can't enable them for some reason. Your carrier needs to support VoLTE for marlin/sailfish in the first place, this won't make VoLTE work magically on any carrier. This module can be used on any ROM.

Could you be more specific please? I've been daily driving this ROM and I've used the GPS online and offline and it works flawlessly, same with the compass, it works without issue. I've used Google Maps and Magic Earth, both online and offline.

I came back to CrDroid after PE and Lineage OS, works perfect! Thanks again!

Firmware works great, the one thing I'd say is to be careful with Smart Pixel as it seems to be "Rendering above all applications". making it impossible to use, say, Google Play to install applications or to set permissions.

What's a dsu? I never tried flashing anything related to A12 or A13, I'm just happy with 11 for now lol.
Something that could be an issue may be partition size, newer android versions take lots of space and usually require the device to be repartitioned.

Well, now that I've seen the video I can tell you that partitions are indeed the problem. The OG Pixel does not have dynamic partitions and does not have a big enough system partition for most A12 GSIs either, so if you want to try A12, you'll need to try phh's GSI with a reparted system.

Again thank you I'm a little hesitant to repartition... Need to learn more about it... Any further details on how to repart the system?
And I guess I don't understand the difference between A/B and dynamic partitions... Thought that's what it was

You're welcome.
For the partitions, the Pixel has some cloned partitions (A and B partitions. For example: system_a and system_b, boot_a and boot_b, etc.) and then a common partition which is the user data partition.
You can flash different ROMs on each partitions, but it won't work because they both will use the same user data partition generating conflicting data and data corruption if encrypted.
Dynamic partitions are, from what I understand, partitions that can be dynamically resized, which means that you can flash a ROM of any size because the partition will always adapt. With dynamic partitions you can flash big GSIs without issue.
For reparting the Pixel, there's an easy way which is using the repartition script found in the PixelExperience installation guide, or you can follow the following guide on how to do it manually.
The guide was removed

Introduction
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10 (Q), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

LineageOS for Nokia 7 Plus
About LineageOS
LineageOS is a free and open-source operating system for set-top boxes, smartphones and tablet computers, based on the Android mobile platform. It is the successor to the custom ROM CyanogenMod, from which it was forked in December 2016 when Cyanogen Inc. announced it was discontinuing development and shut down the infrastructure behind the project. Since Cyanogen Inc. retained the rights to the Cyanogen name, the project rebranded its fork as LineageOS.
LineageOS was officially launched on December 24, 2016, with the source code available on GitHub. Since that time, LineageOS development builds now cover more than 185 phone models with over 1.9 million active installs, having doubled its user base in the month February–March 2017 And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Well this is a/b handset we don't have any seperate recovery partition for a/b phones
For a/b phones recovery stores in boot.img/ramdisk
For a only phones recovery stores in separate recovery partition.
Our device is a/b
Means we used to have two slots
Slot a and slot b ( these phones never comes with separate recovery partition to get recovery.img)

So, If I want to remove TWRP, how do I remove it ??
Because the TWRP is not letting me install feb OTA.
If I try to sideload via adb, then it shows "xfer 0.02x" error.
How do I remove TWRP now ?
The audio isn't played via bluetooth headphones
Also, can you add "VoWifi" support ?
Thanks
1) As reported, no audio trough BT.
2) Is it possible to include SIM deactivation toggles (as in stock with 2 SIM cards present)?
Can anybody tell me where should I put the bootanimation.zip file to get it shown during boot ??
Before it used to be root>system>media
Now there's no folder there.
Can you release version without gapps included?

??!
No OS?
I flashed the rom, and when I got to reboot it says 'No OS installed' and sure enough it goes into a bootloop.
EDIT: Issue is resolved after I used the other TWRP installer zip, but now that I'm in LineageOS, I have a problem with LineageOS settings crashing. The regular settings works but if I try to go into LiveDisplay for example, it goes back to the main settings menu and I get a popup saying "LineageOS settings keeps stopping" when I try to access it again.

After few checks it seems Volte is not working because Xiomi firmware 11 global doesn't connect to LTE only 3G. After changing to EU version it work OK now.
But i find another problem i can't add new APN. So, no data mobile yet.
LE: after some documentation, its seems is mandatory to complete APN field with "default" . After this APN can be saved and use.

It works !! Thanks for the answer, your rom is the best rom I've tried, thank you (sorry if my language will understand a bit).
I´ve been flashing this rom during whole night shift.
1) format data, wipe everything except SD card data
2) reboot to system and recover apps from google backup ( you must enter old PIN if you used it before - my case )
3) if you want Magisk (sure you want!) - remove PIN encryption or set it to the gesture ( Orangefox CAN´T decrypt the data through PIN!!!), install Magisk Manager V8
4) boot to OF, mount everything and flash Magisk v2.1
5) wipe dalvik/cache and reboot
Magisk

Thanks for the very smooth rom! The torch is finally working

If you installed and are currently running one of Synt4x's ROM builds, you can flash over it. If you're coming from stock ROM you'll have to do a full format per Lineage's official guide.
Wow looks like a polished and hassle-free Lineage version! Thanks for your work and for sharing it.
I am considering to buy either a Galaxy S9 or S10 for an acquaintance since both are often sold phones. So they should have good community support for quite a while. Neither of the two has official Lineage support as of now. They do appear to be supported by /e/OS and CrDroid but I feel that Lineage is still the way to go for rock-solid experience right after flashing.
So is it planned to add official Lineage support? If not, would it be feasible with some help and contributions of others? Could you add this information in the first post for others too please?
Would be valuable information for many

I'll run the updates weekly.
Great! We missed LOS 18.1 for S9+!
Just did a dirty flash and rebooted successfully. So far everything is fine.
So thanks again!
BTW: I had to flash magisk again.
Haven't flashed ROMs since I had my Nexus 6P, so apologies if I missed something - is there a specific method to enable encryption on this ROM, or is it simply broken as of now?
I set my phone up, logged into everything and reinstalled all my apps, and then enabled encryption. Now the phone crashes and performs soft reboots. It also logged me out of my Google account. I suppose I'm going to have to wipe and reinstall.
It's also worth noting that neither TWRP 3.3.1 nor 3.5.2 can decrypt /data (I double-checked - the PIN was correct), which is a shame. I would have liked to have /data encrypted.

I figured it out! The trick was to enable encryption before setting anything else up.
Skip everything you can in initial setup (no Wi-Fi, no Google account, etc) so that by the end all you have is a PIN code in place (skip adding a fingerprint too). Then enable encryption, allow it to do its job, and when it reboots you can go about continuing setup.
TWRP unfortunately still cannot decrypt /data, however.
Hope this helps anyone running into the same problem.

LineageOS 18.1 is regularly updated by the maintainers, so I just run the updates for S9 and S9+ owners. This includes monthly AOSP performance and security updates.
Additionally, I am in the process of upstreaming the kernel. This provides performance and security enhancements made possible by the long term Linux kernel maintainers.
Synt4x hosts the device specific repos that make building Linegae 18.1 for the S9 and S9+ possible.

Yeah, there's a lot of improvements in performance, battery life, and security. I notice better reponsiveness and battery life, definitely. There's a full list of updates here: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/log/?h=linux-4.9.y Just browse for the kernel you're on and look at the previous update details. You can also browse my working kernel repo here: https://github.com/Geoknyda/android_kernel_samsung_universal9810 and reconcile with the Linux link to make sure the updates you care about are committed. I save a branch off of my default 4.9y after every patch bundle in case I have to revert due to an incompatibility.
At the rate I am going, I expect to have the kernel fully patched and up to date in a couple of days. I'll keep posting the ROMs as I progress in the OP. It's a lot of work going through 3,400 commits in a few days, but I think those who want security and performance for their S9/S9+ deserve to have it until the kernel reaches EOL in 2023.
Update:
The kernel is now fully patched and up to date. I will be maintaining additional kernel updates as they are released by the Linux Long-Term Support kernel team for the 4.9y branch until 2023, which is EOL for that branch. These updates will be merged into the weekly builds as well. Enjoy!
Hi there
jst a quick question......do the monthly android security updates come OTA, or do I have to download a file and install with TWRP?
I only ask because someone here seemed to sugegst that you had to do a complete reinstall of the latest version?

You can flash it over your existing ROM via ADB or OTA..
thaks for super quick reply.
No the original install will be over stock. But what to i need to do when there is an update?
Updating from stock, you'll have to do full wipe/flash/reset.
Updating afterwards with weekly builds in this thread's OP only requires dirty flashing:
Use OTA
or:
upload recovery
sideload updated zip
format cache & reboot

Hi man,
You've probably need this hack for this Asus's Cam
https://gerrit.omnirom.org/c/android_device_asus_rog3/+/42396
Dirty flash works fine over Statix 12 with no issues, Asus cam even works. Used magisk to pass safetynet. So far everything is working

Just download the APK from their GitHub page, change the extension from .apk to .zip. Now boot into recovery, hit system update and adb sideload; finally type "adb sideload Magisk-v25.2.zip" it'll say it's not verified and ask if you want to install anyways, just hit yes. It'll boot into system, then you'll need to enable zygisk and reboot and install universal safetynet fix and magiskhide props config to pass safetynet and have gpay/banking work. That's the easiest method for me personally.

Thank you very much I managed to install magisk and got my bank apps working now. But I still can't use Google Wallet, can't add my debit card it says that my phone is rooted. Tried to hide every Google and framework related services from magisk hide but still doesn't work even after clearing data of Google apps and reboot. Any idea ?

Congrats for this awesome ROM hands down the smoothest thing I ever used. But I have one question I don't have Google pixel's weather widgets that I used to have on the Android 12 version. Is it normal ?
Does this rom have some sort of battery limiter like in stock rom?
@Androbots I found a glitch: the fingerprint icon doesn't match the actual fingerprint location

This is the only issue I've seen and it really doesn't impact fingerprint reader performance. ROM runs beautifully and SELinux is Enforcing.
