Hi, I did an OTA update (check mark), now it no longer always starts in bootloop lineageos animation, then it started in recovery, in download mode and trwp, would like to save the internal memory trwp (data - permission denied ) I can only get to the SD card, tried to save via sideload, on the PC it shows both occupied on the internal memory space, but show it empty (shows a special system format - hyrachiv I think? ), sd works, it also worked via cmd tried adb sideload always comes up connection failed closed!
Hope you can help me. With kind regards!

Bonehead that I am, I did the preparatory data/factory reset in CWM without transferring the new rom to the SD card first. I didn't realise USB mass storage CWM didn't work on the note (or at least, it doesn't on mine)
So normally I'd just reboot, and transfer the file within ICS, but since I've wiped, seems like that's not the way forward. So I guess my question's a twofer.
1) Is there a way to transfer the file to the sd card without exiting CWM?
2) Is USB Mass Storage in CWM a known issue, or is it unique to me? (I understand it's a known issue on the Nexus).
Thanks in advance.
its a known issue
Why cant you just boot the phone up and place it on ?
You use adb much ? If so, Get the rom, Put it in the folder with all your adb files,
Boot into recovery (usb debugging enabled by default in recovery) and type in a command window:
adb push nameofrom.zip /sdcard/
or
adb push nameofrom.zip/sdcard/nameofrom.zip
then find it, select it and flash it
As previously established, I'm such a noob. I've always installed a fresh rom after doing a reset in CWM. Somehow got it into my head that that amounted to wiping the OS completely. Man, I suck at rooting recently. I was an old hand when I had a DHD. Now I've got an SGN I'm an amateur again!
Rebooted and transferred the file without issue.
Thanks for the help.
Hi there,
i guess something is wrong with my internal storage.
So i did unlock my boot loader, installed SU and reinstalled the image due to the boot loader unlocking.
several issues i encountered now, along with not possible to connect to play store on wifi (had to delete hosts file).
The main issue i now have is that my android shows about 500MB free internal space, but im not able to install apps (installed about 30-40 apps and had to move them in several steps onto the sd card), cant save screenshots or export files from dropbox to sd card (maybe it cant be buffered in internal storage). But i can send pictures through whatsapp which get saved on internal, i have no issues.
also when i take pictures with camera, the files get saved to internal\DCIM but i cant view them with gallery as it requires a reboot of app due to missing temp space.
any ideas whats wrong with my phone?
edit: ok, guess i messed up completely. thought this was maybe a permission issue so i tried the "fix permission" option from twrp and now im stuck in bootloop (seems to be a common issue on lollipop).
as i saved my whatsapp data to my sd card via twrp file explorer, i would likely to do a fresh install of my os (stock rom). how do i get a clean install of that? because when the image reinstalled itself, the internal storage seems not to got wiped as there was a twrp folder on it and i had SU (or maybe i have no idea and this is normal), but i wonder where the issues with host, file permission, (also some whats app issues), aswell as a file i could not delete from internal root (which i copied myself onto it) with root explorer or connected via usb with windows explorer, had to go into twrp and delete it with its explorer.
You did do a factory recovery before flashing and wiped the cache/dalvik before and after flashing didn't you?
So, I was using LineAgeOS 14.1 for my Xperia SP but it was awful so I switched to this. All went well but the problem is, I think the internal storage is unmounted (or something).
Play Store keeps crashing(tried cache, data clearing, everything). And it didn't include any filemanager.
So, I tried download an apk through Chrome but it shows "No SD Card" everytime.
What I've tried :
Wiping everything
Re-flash the ROM
Mount option in TWRP, but everytime I check the "Data" box and reboot, it reverts back to unchecked
Note :
I can see Internal Storage on my PC(connected with a USB cable) but I cannot copy anything in it
Can see the presence of Internal Storage in "Storage" menu in Settings too
Also, accessing the Camera says, "Memory write-protected"
same thing happened to me after trying oreo 8.0 , does anyone know the fix?
Finally fixed it , I used Sony Emma Tools latest Version.
Plugged the phone and repaired it using Sony Emma and installed Original Firmware , and now i can install other roms without any internal storage error , although it comes back when i install twrp 3.0.0
Anyone have other solution because EMMA does not support C530x anymore ?
Hey all
I've successfully installed Lineage OS but the only thing I can't get to work, or find information on, is my storage. As a full wipe was necessary, it is 90% empty but when I try to download eg F Droid APK, the browser closes and taking screenshots is impossible (some examples). Right now I am using an external sd card to install some basic apps (this does work).
Does anybody know how to fix this?
Solved: formatted internal storage through TWRP
Hi,
Using s5 flashed with LineageOs 16 (android 9). But my phone cannot access the storage even though nothing is installed. Sd card or internal storage. I tried hooking up with odin, but the phone cannot be detected. Installed the Samsung USB drivers, still unable to detect.
Tried to install from the play store but, but it says to clear space. The space is cleared. What I have installed is TWRP 3.3.0 and can boot to that. When I copied Los and newer TWRP, it is not detected by the phone. Reboot also same. Right now I have a vanilla Los but cannot do anything with it. Tried to view the files, cannot see internal and external storage. Nothing pops up.
Any ideas?
