Hi,
Installed 4.2.2 yesterday and had to roll back to 4.1.2 (307) as Windows 7 crashed every time I tethered and tried connecting to the internet.
Anyone else had this problem, and has anyone got a solution to this as would prefer to install 4.2.2 again if a fix is available.
Searched this forum for a similar problem but not seen it mentioned anywhere.
Cheers guys

I'm having the same trouble and I can't seem to find much information about this. It's happening on Windows 7 64bit.
Hi etakarine, I'm on 64 bit also. Found this whilst looking into the problem, appears to be an Intel driver problem, though not tried it yet:
code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=43318
Leggy
no issues here, just tethered and did a speed test without any issues at all
windows 7 64bit
Same problem for me at work on a Win 7 Enterprise
No problem at home with a Win 7 Ultimate
It's definitively a driver/software part, also at work i have Kaspersky that know for causin problem with that.
Thanks for your responses guys!!
I don't use Kaspersky, though use Symantec Corporate antivirus.
I'm guessing it's the intel driver problem, which I'll install and update again over the weekend when I've more time, to see if that's the problem!!
Leggy
Just a quick update folks for anyone else with this problem. Installed the Intel wifi drivers from the link above earlier, updated back to 4.2.2 and fingers crossed, no crashes so far in the last 30 mins. Early days, but will test further over the weekend and report.
Looking good though as Win 7 crashed as soon as IE and Firefox were opened previously!!
Hi folks,
I've been struggling for almost two weeks to got OP3T work with Android Auto. I know it's not only me who is having such issue. The connection itself may be established be it randlomy disconnects after few minutes or even seconds.
Do you have any clue what is going on?
There is a ticket open on OP forums, people are having exactly the same issue.

Do you know any workarounds? I can't live without Android Auto anymore

It is an interface in your car. It lets you mirror android to the built in mulitmedia system in a vehicle. There are only main features like dialer, maps, spotify. Works great if you travel a lot and the voice commands helps. Totally hands free.
You gotta have a car which supports Android Auto obviuosly.
I drive Opel Astra MY2017.

Please check if your car is supported: android [dot] com [slash] auto
(Sorry I'm still below 10 posts, can't write links)
I had to download an apk, since AA is not yet officialy released where I live.
Android auto works flawless for me now that I have a Oneplus 3t. It Never worked when I had the LG V10. You may want to see if it's a problem with the headunit itself and bring it to the dealer.
I have a 2017 Ford Fusion.
I never had any problems on LG G4 and same vehicle. Once switched to OP3T start having difficulties. It's not only me.
Doesn't work with OOS.
I tried, and tried to get my op3t to work with android auto, but everything I tried failed. I recently started rooting, and was able to use android auto with LineageOS, and RR roms. Turns out these
two are based on ASOP, not OOS.
So far Resurrection Remix 5.8.2 has been the most stable, and have had zero issues with Android Auto.
I don't know why OOS doesn't handle this well (at least for me), but I hope they fix it. I really like OOS, except for that one bug which is a big one for me.
Have the issue..Have not found a work around.
On any OOS build i got it to work but it will freeze when phone gets hot... When I use any other rom it works flawlessly... Right now I'm on Phoenix AOSP extended and works great..

No issue here. I'm using cheap 3rd party USB and on a Kenwood unit.

Well this is disappointing. Android Auto is one of the main features I'm looking for in my next car which I plan to get this year...
Works without a problem on my Nexus 6p and now on my 3t Car is a Civic 2016
Sent from my OnePlus 3T
Recently purchased a 3T and having the same issue with OOS 4.1.3. My (soon to be sold unless I go refund my 3T) Nexus 6p never had an issue with AA w/ 2016 Golf GTI.
After reading the official forum's support thread (linked in OP), I updated to the recent Open 5 Beta and gave the "change to MIDI" for USB options a shot and it works for a period of time ~10-15 min but then the OS switches back to USB charging. I have to do the same procedure again to get another short successful duration out of AA. I have roughly a dozen different branded Type C cables and only 2/10 of them work with this method (the official Dash cable being one of them).
I'm going to give RR / Lineage a go and see if they can produce steady AA connections. Since I'm also still playing Pokemon Go I can't root / will have to try the Magisk route. I currently can't seem to get my Pokemon Go Plus to Bluetooth sync with the Go app on either 4.1.3 or Open 5.
I have a Sm-T580 I got from my dad because the Wifi and Bluetooth isn't working. I thought it was an easy fix and he bought a new one so I figured hey I have a new tablet. I'm between a techy and a newbie. I have had androids since the moment and have rooted, bricked and unbricked several phones in between and I now have the S8+. So I have tried downloading different firmware, I have rooted the tablet I have wiped the system os using TWRP and reinstalled another current os and now I am using the ultra lean rom and i can not get the wifi or bluetooth to turn on. Neither of them have an IP address or bluetooth address. I don't know what else to do. Can any one help?

Since wifi and Bluetooth both do not work, it seems to me as if the chip is roasted, cuz they both share the same chip. At least this was my experience with S4.
Big chance, that this is a hardware issue maybe from water damage.
Wasn't dropped in water that I know of but I have about exhausted all other options. Thx
Hey guys,
I have an MTCB Carjoying unit back from early 2016 with Malaysk 4.4.4 ROM from that time still running on it. It's run absolutely fantastic for 2 years now. Started looking back through here and see theres a bunch of options to upgrade to now...and it's kind of a lot to take in since I last was "in the game" haha. So I thought maybe you guys could recommend best firmware to update to, since it looks like Malaysk isnt the only guy in the game right now, and his stuff seems way more than i need!
Carjoying VW Android 4.4.4 MTCB RK3188 1024x800 headunit
Most Important things:
Startup time, as fast startup as possible
Auto startup to previous music app, if it was sd card music or radio
Button remapping
pandora/spotify working
IGO Primo or equivalent Nav system working offline
Torque Pro Working
Other than that, not that much else needed... I'm of course open to ideas of what things you guys like best as well!

I think the best is @Johny DJ's ROM.
Sorry if this has been posted, it's been years since I've logged into my account and can't figure out how to just search the Pixel 5a forum alone.
Anyway, ever since I got my pixel 5a Android 12 has had an issue dropping bluetooth in the middle of a call while connected to my vehicles. It really doesn't matter which one either. In fact, a friend of mine has a Pixel 6 pro and his does the same thing in his car. I can't find any info on Google about this being reported. In fact, I had Google send me a new Pixel 5a, before I knew about my friend and the new one is doing it too. They had no idea about this issue.
Anyone else experiencing this? Any fixes or work arounds? I've played with the bluetooth settings in developer options at Google supports suggestion and that didn't help either.
Thanks in advance.
