Is there a way to enable battery saver and 120Hz display mode. Without battery saver, I'm facing a big battery drain.

If you give us more informations about ROM root and mods, then may there's someone who can help.
Just stock MIUI. I just want to enable both 120Hz and battery saver.

Debloat MIUI and fix the batter drain as you can't enable 120hz with battery saver.
Or it might be the 120hz that's draining your battery...

I've already de-bloated the MIUI (adb shell uninstall). The battery drain is present when screen is off also. Its enlisted under Android system. A simple fix for me is to use Battery saver mode. But alas, cant use 120Hz screen in Battery saver.
Time to switch to Xiaomi.eu or a custom ROM then.

Hi. I'm posting this thread because I could not find suitable answer anywhere. I'm searching for an Oreo rom which has no battery drain in standby mode like nougat ROMs. Every nougat ROM has good deep sleep. But I tried unofficial RR Oreo and AICP Oreo earlier, and found they drain battery heavily in standby and have CPU ramping up issue after 5/7 seconds continuously and never stopped.
Any rom without battery drain?
Go for dot os with battery saver on im not getting any drainage in sleep mode

RR is never recommended for battery its has lots of customization so it darins battery like hell and Los 15 can be good with custom kernel never used a Los tho
I recommend Nitrogen OS oreo. It has great battery life, and they also fixed the DEEP SLEEP BATTERY DRAIN.
From my experience, it could take 1-2 days from full charged to die. Left it for night, and just 5-10% drained. Ohhh what a battery life.
I use greenify btw, to make it less draining. Don't use greenify to who often multitasking, it's slowing your device while opening an app. Because the app start from fresh (because hibernated)
Edit: the 5%-10% drained when i was downloading games. See my reply below for more info

You mean it drains 5-10% per night at standby mode when I'm not doing anything? That doesn't seem good battery life.

But it's not good battery life, it drains. I was preferring one which doesn't drain battery in standby mode like all nougat ROMs. Screenshot doesn't need anymore, thanks.

RR Nougat + Clarity kernel here.
Standby overnight with wifi on, apps in background, no battery saver, no greenify: 2% battery loss.
Wifi off, airplane mode off, cleared recent apps, battery saver on: 0% battery loss

Can you all do me a favor? If you have any system monitoring app like Simple System Monitor, Android assistant,(not kernel auditor), then do this.
First turn on airplane mode and close all background apps, check anything isn't running in background. Then open the monitoring app. Then wait until everything cools down.
Then check how the graph or CPU behaves. Last time I checked, 2 Oreo ROM(Unofficial RR and AICP) have CPU ramp up issue. Like this: CPU speed goes to max after 5/7 seconds then normal. Again high after 5/7 seconds, again normal. This happened continuously and never stopped.
I tried several times with/without gapps and everything was cleaned flashed. But the issue was there. Please report.
I just recognized that 5-10% drained per night is when i downloading a pc games
Here is what you want, i screenshot it in the night and unplug the charger, also turn on the battery saver.
Today the battery is still 78%, so it's 0% drains :victory:
Hello,
I would like to ask you guys, what apps do you use to save your battery?
Naptime? Anything else?
Nothing... I don't need to install anything to save battery. That being said, I USED to do this with apps like Greenify on my Galaxy Note 3 (so like 9-10 years ago). But I had stopped doing that a while back as doing so had only lead to even less battery life lol.
to be honest, the best battery saver is to uninstall the native Facebook application from your phone. it eats up battery like anything. you will see a noticeable improvement on your daily battery performance.
I've tried naptime and I've not really noticed a huge difference, at least in repeatable conditions, i.e. overnight. Same with Galaxy max Hz, although i like the additional controls that the latter gives
Love Bixby routines to switch to 2G when at home or activate batter saver when sleeping and not charging. Rly good stuff.
I don't use anything to limit battery consumption, but I do use Accubattery to set an alert when my charge reaches 75%. Reducing depth of charge and not charging to full 100% is a way to reduce battery wear, so ultimately that extends battery life.

I kind of do something similar. I've got a Bixby Routine to shut off the smart plug that the charger is plugged into when the Battery percent reaches 80. Unfortunately, Bixby routines isn't very reliable.

I use Accubattery as well to monitor temp and charging.
If you use any power management especially 3rd party ones it can cause erratic behavior and may create conflicts that use more power than they save.
I deal with power hogs directly by either adjusting settings, disabling them or firewall blocking them.
Certain apps like Brave, Gmaps I manually close out when done or will they continue to poll the internet in the background and use power.

You can just turn off all notification and disable(deep sleep) in Background usage limits.
I’ve been using AccuBattery with IFTTT to shut off a smart plug at 75% for several years now to extend my phone’s battery life. This has been very reliable, it runs every morning before I wake up.

what do you mean disable? add facebook to deep sleep list? I noticed it's not working, even if I but it in deep sleep list I still get notifications. And do rly disabling notifications for facebook app improves battery? any source about that?

No, no. The first person essentially said to uninstall that crummy, built-in Facebook app and then to put some apps that you don't need notifications for into deep sleep mode. The second person mentioned the same thing with different wording.
After updating to MIUI 13 heavy battery drain issues. Did clean flash of fastboot rom still battery drain still no solved.
In MIUI 12.5 used to get 9-10 hours SOT with light usage. Now getting 6 -7 hours.
Is this for me only or everyone? Any way to fix the drain
I did not notice any battery drain but the fast charging speed was reduced and also the phone was not at all heating up when fast charging
I can suggest you to turn off "google services" or if possible, dissable it. This might help you increasing the battery backup.

Hi everyone. I have owned this smartphone for 7 months. In the beginning everything was fine. The battery lasts a very short time. I checked different roms, there is no difference, the battery status says it is healthy. Checked by several methods. What could be the cause? SOT is only 3-4 hours and it was much more. Not enough for an average used day. Please help.

You said you checked on different roms so there's a possibility that the battery isn't displaying the correct percentage of the phone. If you experience phone turning off even if not on 0% or having the battery percentage stuck for a long time and then starts draining fast then it means your battery is not calibrated and you need to calibrate it to give the correct reading. As far as I know, no matter how many roms you change, no rom can calibrate battery as it is untouch when roms are being overlayed in the system. If battery calibration doesn't work then try restricting apps and forcing doze on your phone. Last option is to start considering a new battery replacement if you want.

One thing I found would drain the battery in a matter of hours is anything to do with the proximity sensors. Turning on pocket detection would literally cut my battery life in half. Lift to wake and always on display will also decrease battery life. While 120hz refresh is nice, it also shortens battery life. Dark themes on this phone will extend battery life. Amoled screens display black by not turning on the led pixels where black is supposed to be. Just my two pennies...

Yes especially double tap to wake and aod for me kills the battery super quickly. Im guessing it has to do with the miui firmware not properly turning off the sensors during deep sleep. Even a rom maintainer said that aod seems buggy too. Also another factor that drains battery is heat, and rn10pro is notorious for heating up quickly (literally few pics and went from 31C-38C). Frequent heating can cause permanent damage on battery and it'll surely decrease its capacity and lifespan.
Now it is good. Less 10%, sot is 1h. So I think 8h will be during the day. I noticed that the wake-ups had a continuous line now it is intermittent. I think everything is back to normal. Thank you all

Battery calibration pro 1.4 and wiping battery stats with lspeed
(Wiping battery stats is a myth as far as I know, it doesn't contain any persistent long-term data, it gets updated continuously.)
on a similar note, does anyone know why the "Battery usage-->Manage Battery usage" setting gets resetted to optimized from restricted all the time within a few days on A12? I'm witnessed this behaviour on all the A12 roms for sweet(currently on PixelOS) and have never found an answer nor a solution. Has it got anything to do with the automatic permission disable feature since A11? Anyone noticed this? Its frustrating to set that to restricted manually for every app every few days. Thanks!
