Hi,
I have a problem whit my Samsung Galaxy Note. When ever I have rooted my phone, the touch screen randomly stops working. It seems to happen whenever I come near the proximity sensor during the time when I make a call. I know that it is used to dim/lock the screen during the call but it seems that the touchscreen system chrashes at that point and stays in that locked mode. After a reboot everything is fine untill it randomly happens again.
When such thing happens, the stylus is working but the finger touch is not reckognized anymore. The strange thing is that when I unroot my phone everything seems to work fine.
And that is a bummer because I cannot sent it for replacement because everything seems to work fine when my phone is stock/unrooted.
The phone is brand new, got it last saturday.
Is there any one who has heard of this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Jeffrey
Hello ! I got an issue since a month or two now : Sometimes , for no reasons , getting my phone out of sleep mode turns off the Screen.
The process : My phone is in sleep mode and Always On Display mode , i want to unlock it , the screen just stays off.
I'm currently running Pixel Experience , but i've had the same issue on MIUI 10.
It doesn't seems like it's a connector issue , because the screen still work on AOD even if i can't unlock it.
The phone can still be unlocked , touch screen works fine while this error happends.
I don't really know what to do at this point. Does anybody already had this problem ?
Thank you.

Your screen is dead. Were you using a screen overclock?

Hi All,
I broke my my Redmi K20 pro display and have replaced it.
With the broken display, all was working except the display. i.e., phone would ring on calls, vibrate, notifications would ring, battery charging did sound. So, assuming that nothing else was damaged.
After display replacement, the screen doesn't get unlocked.
Phone boots properly and asks for pattern/fingerprint. Does not recognise fingerprint and on entering the correct pattern, the screen unlocks for a micro-second and then turns black and then the purple MIUI logo shows and the screen returns to locked state.
Phone performs all functions that can be done from locked screen.
Is the new display being not recognised by the phone OS?
Any assistance would be great.
Thanks a lot in advance.

No, the phone is not formatted. It is using the same ROM as bought.
Try a clean install with backed up data.

If the phone displays boot logo and animations and lockscreen, then that suggests the display is OK.
What you describe actually sounds like the recent wallpaper bug, where a wallpaper image is set, but the image has a colour space not recognised by the OS. Try booting to recovery and doing a factory reset (I'm assuming MIUI recovery gives this option, I can't remember if it does or not)

Hi, were you able to fix this problem?
Yes. I'm currently using the same device.
Kept on unlocking the screen using pattern. Fingerprint recognition puts the device in the reboot sequence. So now I only use pattern unlock.
I tried unlocking about 100 times and then this one time the phone behaved and remained unlocked.
It was like training my pet... lol
All the best.
Hi!
I'm here to figure out if someone can help me.
I was using my phone normally, I was trying to unlock it when the screen flashed like 3 times with a blue color similar to the color of the screen when you are trying to unlock the device, it happened like three times, then I rebooted the phone and the screen is black and unresponsive. I can tell that the phone is working in the background because I can feel the touchscreen working, it's also charging, ringing and I can even answer phone calls, it's also connected to my Wi-Fi network, the phone is not damaged and I haven't dropped it recently (a few times some days ago but nothing serious). I'm wondering, is the screen dead? or maybe something's loose on the inside?
