Hi, I'm a new user and I'm also a photographer. I also have a question on what can be posted and what this website is all about, if anybody can answer I truly appreciate it.

Hey guys, I have been scouring the ends of the internet trying to find a support group like this for help on the T-Mobile Wing. Is there anyone else that lives in Arizona on here? I'm looking for lots of help and want to do everything to my Wing that I can figure out. I'm a total noob to registry hacks and programing stuff, but not to forums. So that being said, I will be searching and probably still asking stupid questions on here in, hopefully, the right sections.
Thanks,
Austin
Welcome to the forum!
The built in search function on this forum sucks and does not cover the WiKi among its other flaws.
I recommend you use google to search the site.
Hope you find all the answers you are looking for!
Hello all i am new to this forum, and i read many posts regarding to flashing a HTC ROM, but there are still couple things i do not understand, and i hope someone can help me answer them.
I got a HTC HD from HK (European Version I believe, because it has orange logo on the battary cover)
I found this version quite inconvenient for me, because it does not support Chinese Traditional texts display when i browse on Chinese website.
I am still toying with the basic HD function, i only want to flash my rom to the CSL CHT rom
here is my question, do i have to do a HSPL or USPL.... i read some post about each HD device has their own ID or model, so there might be a limitation on rom i can flash to, how do i check the model for my HD?
the links on Duttythory are not connecting me to their files, anyone know another way around this problem?
i guess my last question is what is why do we flash the RADIO? I have flashed ROMs (from official website) on my TOUCH before never flash RADIO before.. if anyone can provide me a link with explanation will be helpful.
Thank you
beelee335
can some experienced user answer my question
many thanks
couple of things
this is a community, the way you are asking for help sounds very much like you are expecting people to jump and deliver for you
thats not the way forums work, no one here is an employee or providing a service of an agreed level, people here (including the admins and mods) are just people that are here to chat share and learn, some are much more active than others
secondly, you are asking a question that has been asked before and answered before. as you state you are a newbie, then the best place to start for any of us when we are noobs at certain things is the FAQ and if present, the wiki
the wiki in this instance is your best starting point

many thanks for your respond, i did manage to find a post and solved my problem, sorry for breaking the rules now my device is flashed to a Chinese Traditional rom
again sorry about that, please just let this post sink
glad you are sorted
its not so much "rules" as just the way forums like this are, they are "user forums" and any and all forums such as this expect people to search and read and solve the problem for themselves before asking
if its a question that hasnt been answered elsewhere in the forum (as yours happily was) then ask away and people will be happy to answer you, in their time (giving just 12 hours to get a response isnt long ) if of course an answer exists!
i meant more of a heads up for you so you dont accidently upset people now or in the future so that you are able to enjoy this and other forums and get all the answers you need
enjoy your HD and here

Not a good first post for a newcomer . This is a library of information, not " help me make my phone cool " tech support. If you want help and to make friends here, please use the search function, read the available information, then come back with specicific questions on things that you do not understand and other members will be glad to help you out.
All the information you need is here.

Hi decon7,
thanks for replying to my post and hopefully pointing me in the right direction. i realise that all forums are libraries of information but at the same time have the facility to ask and answer questions.
I think you have misunderstood the reason for wanting to run android on my phone as it's certainly not to "help make my my phone look cool". I am merely looking for a better and more functional OS.
Also before sending this post I'd searched this forum for many hours looking for answers to my questions. It seems the issue is incredibly complex and the info becomes out of date very quickly so in the hope that someone might be able to give me some simple answers i posted a few questions. i'm sorry if this has offended the etiquette of this board or just yourself.
thanks again for the reply

Yeah looks like someone could do some overhauling on the Android/Kaiser Wiki.
I don't know much about it either.
does anyone know if someone is working on this? or if there's somewhere to learn to port ROMs. i would really like to learn how to if no one isn't already working on it

I'm pretty sure your post is about to get moved, but before it does, the answer is that Cubed is working on this.

oh sorry for posting in wrong location but thanks for the answer. i recently just got the revo before looking at the current hacks for it and was somewhat disappointed in the lack of them. is there any specific reason for this or is it just not that popular a phone?

The reason is LG not honoring their license and releasing the source code. Illegal? Sure, but who's going to prosecute them?
Anyone else have this problem? I'm on the 2nd newest build, the new one came out today
Maybe yes, maybe no.
> That's the quality of answers you'll get with a question like that.
No one will help you without any more details !
- Take as much time writing as you want people that MIGHT answer, to build an answer.
You want an example of how your question feels like?
"Hey guys, I got an Android phone, anyone else has problems making phone calls?"
- I hope that question is vague enough and at the right place, at the same time. I posted it on XDA's homepage, so it's in the right thread. Right?
- Not TRY your best, and give me your most dedicated answer to that question.
- No, really, take your time to answer. I really need an answer, man, so I'm counting on someone to help me. I hope it'll be you, please?
So, please rephrase your question with:
- The version detail (10s to check in parameters)
- The version of lastpass installed
- The autorisations accorded to Lastpass
- etc
That way, you won't have someone take 4 minutes writing an answer to your question typed in 10s on a smartphone keyboard.
Best,
XDA's tired, and thank god not an admin because i'll have deleted your post, SJW

Didn't have to be so rude in your response, just say you need more details. People much less likely to use this forum if you act stuck-up.
Anyways, I fixed it by unenrolling from the beta and reinstalling the latest stable version on Google Play.

You are wrong. The one being rude was you. Posting such a nonchalantly short and cryptic message is an insult to all in this forum. From your reply one can understand that you didnĀ“t even do the most basic research before you scribbled a few words.
