Question Mi 11 EDL Brick - Xiaomi Mi 11

Hi, I bricked my phone to Black Screen EDL trying to update from rom EE 12.5.9 to eea 13.0.1.
I am Trying to fix it via Mi Flash, but he said my Account dont have Permissions.
The device are still in shown in device manager but have black Screen.

I had the same, you need to use the help of an authorized xiaomi account, I will put your phone on your feet for a fee remotely in EDL mode. He has an account on telegram and whatsup
I used the help here MOD EDIT: Link Removed

Thank you for replay, i dont know its allowed to link him here, but a french Guy with authorized xiaomi account on telegram helped me for a little tip. My Mi 11 now running aggain with Xiaomi.eu weekly

I'm glad you made it. I also came back to xiaomi.eu weekly

Only think i hate on miui is that i need fluid ng to use nova and sometimes fluid ng stop working cause the Eingabehilfe (dont know engish word) deactivated it self.

how updates are delivered?

Hi! i am very new to the xiaomi community. i have just bought a pre-owned xiaomi mi 9.
it was shipped to me via POST mail, when i opened the phone it is a xiaomi mi 9 chinese version.
i am planning to flash either miui eu , miui global or revos. i just want to ask
how are the updates on these roms (miui eu, miui global, and revos) delivered? do i need to reflash every time? or i can just update just like a regular stock miui chinese rom? (a.k.a. by going to the settings and clicking the update button there and rebooting)
thank you.

Yes, you can update via settings normally on these roms (OTA), so no, you don't need to wipe and reflash everytime. :good:
Nonetheless it will always be better to clean install, as sometimes updating like this can cause slow downs / issues.

you and i have the same version (6gb ram / 128gb storage). i see that you are using the revos, have how is it? have you tried the miui eu? miui global? may you please give me your insights? thank you very much..
I have a same phone like you, and I've been using miui eu edition for months. You have to install updates(downloadable in settings) in the rec, but you don't need to wipe data, just cache/dalvik. So it's kinda convenient.

It's really a bad idea :
- A lot of Official Xiaomi Mi 11 tester have encounter EDL mode / Full Brick by flashing OTA ROM
- Actual TWRP is NOT compatible with A12... (and it's the only way you can flash your link because we don't have the fastboot version)
So before share this, try yourself but you are warned... be careful !
hello, from more than android 11 to android 12 the change will not even be seen I think due to the miui overlay.

Oh yes! I can confirm this very much. I got into EDL and couldn't solve it myself. Finally I paid telegram guy to unbrick/reflash and solve it. So I would NOT recommend anyone (who is not super expert in to flashing a/b partition and all) to try it using recovery-twrp flash.
Read carefully this thread, could brick phone!!!!!

This is true. I bricked MI 11 twice.
What is curious is that MIUI 12.5.1.0 (android 12), is in the firmware library of MI and is for recovery

Not if you have a full brick (Black screen). Only if you are on EDL mode.
So you can really Brick your device, it can be expensive to just install a MIUI A12 with lags & many bugs.
I advise all to wait on A11 for the moment.

I just learned how to use adb commands and I found out that it can be used to disable some overlays. So, is it possible to disable every miui overlay?

Good evening unfortunately no we can not remove all the overlay to do it we must install an alternative rom (custom).

Question Revert to original Chinese stock firmware from EU ROM

Does anybody know if you were to revert back to the phones original firmware (Chinese) from the EU ROM would it be possible to relock the bootloader safely. Thought I heard that this wasn't possible but now I'm not sure as this was some time ago.
Yu can, by using song miflash. BUT only with the firmware wat was on it... So global phone can't get locked with CN build and vice versa
After posting it seems some people have problems with Google syncing and such so for for someone paid someone not in China maybe it's not the best option for someone outside China.
I'm using the weekly beta CN version (A12) for months now and didn't have any issues. Syncing works without problems and since I disabled (removed) the powerkeeper all messages arrive on time. Let's say with my kind of phone usage I didn't have any problems or heat ups. Therefore using as daily driver and didn't regret it.
Also tried .eu, GLOBAL and EEA versions. But always came back to the CN weekly one.
Great, so is the weekly Chinese A12 already up to MIUI 13? Maybe I'll just go ahead and give it a try.

I'm using the weekly/daily from here:
[PORT] BETA MIUI A12
Good afternoon The XD team (Xyen and Dargonswim) has managed to port the Chinese betas with Android 12 for anyone who wants to test it. You only need to have the bootloader open. Installation (FASTBOOT): - Enter fastboot mode (vol - and...

Never had an issue with it. But if you are coming from another version I strongly recommend to do a "full install with wipe" the first time. Otherwise you will run into issues here and there. In worst case just get into bootloop. So backup and use the first version from install.bat with wipe.
From 27.12.2021 on it is already on MiUi 13 "beta". But you won't see really a difference. The MiUi in use here might be more in the background. But no visible change from the weekly/daily 12.5.

Question Best privacy ROM for Mi 11 Ultra

Hey guys,
i bought last week my Mi 11 Ultra and waiting till the countdown is over for unlocking the bootloader.
I still dont know which ROM i should use and thats why i want to ask you which one you prefer.
For me privacy is important and thats why i use till now lineage on my phone and also changed a few settings in lineage so it doesnt call any google stuff (for example wifi captive portal)
And i DONT need any google services - MicroG does all i need.
Of course i would prefer a ROM which use the full power of the Mi 11 Ultra camera but as far as i know just the unoffical Pixel Experience ROM has an port of the MIUI Cam.
But the xiaomi.eu ROM + Pixel ROM get both delivered with Google Services thats why i dont want to use them.
And i am not sure if i can trust the original chinese ROM.
So for the moment i prefer lineage or crDroid but both dont support the back display and for good photos i have to install Gcam Port cause those Roms doesnt have a port of the originally MIUI ROM.
But i am sure some of you guys also care about your privacy so please let me know which ROM are you using
Thank you
I had the same dillema and eventually stayed with debloated china rom. It's google services are somehow limited heavily (it's different than global) and i can limit them more on firewall/dns.
Everything works for me, which is different than when using microg.
For example i never managed to get banking apps to run without issue on migrog - which is quite important for me.
xiaomi.eu includes gapps, so it's a NO for me. It's easier to remove gapps from china than from EU.

Question Xiaomi.eu account rejected for spam like or automated behaviour

Hola Amigos !
Today I tried making a xiaomi.eu account to post about a problem . The problem is that when I install xiaomi.eu miui 13 on my spes , it works fine for some time , then some random app crashes and the device starts rebooting itself . I know I have flashed it correctly as I made a guide on xda using references from xiaomi.eu website . Whenever I make a account , with whatever email , it always shows account rejected automated or spam like behaviour . Any solution for Xiaomi.eu account or my spes having issues with .eu . I have no nfc version . Also Xiaomi.eu works perfectly on my lavender and beryllium.
Thanks
same here while i try to create an account, i stopped trying eventually
Why would you do that??
I did try Xiaomi.eu and it frozed while opening a 7 mb music player. And a little later, crashed while opening the Gallery app and restarted itself!! The worst behaviour I've ever seen in my phone was while using that ROM, and its supposed to be one of the best of all the customs.
Stop wasting your time and install an official ROM. I've using the official indonesian ROM with Android 11 for months. Zero problems.

All ROMs work fine when following this guide except xiaomi.EU Xiaomi.EU has the best performance possible for miui as compared to custom ROMs . I currently own a beryllium Poco f1 and followed the instructions on .EU website and flashed it . Used it for 4 months ,it was smooth and fantastic along with great performance when paired with NGK kernel . My friend own a spesn NFC variant and for him this ROM has no issues . No reboot no freeze , seems like it only happens with non NFC variant , maybe a issue from xiaomi's side.
