[Q] Screen problem

I have a x8 about 1 year. Today it fell to the ground and my screen was never the same. the cellphone is with a black screen, but it still works! i tryed call to it and it rings! but i just removed the battery and restarted the phone, but the screen still black. i don't want to send my phone to a authorized service because have just one here in my city, the service will be expensive. what do you think is the my cellphone problem? i can be solve it, or just the authorized service? i have an basic knowledge of eletronic, but i'm afraid of ruining the phone. thanks! and sorry for my bad english, i'm brazilian, speak portuguese! and thanks to my friend Google for the translation!

eu tenho um x8 há cerca de 1 ano. hoje ele caiu no chão e a tela nunca mais foi a mesma. estou tendo um problema de tela preta, mas o celular continua funcionando! tentei ligar para ele e ele tocou! já tentei remover a bateria e depois ligar o telefone denovo, porém o problema da tela preta continua. eu nao quero enviar o celular pra autorizada da sony porque so tem uma aqui, então o serviço deve sair caro (além de eu nao confiar nesses serviços). qual voces acham que é o problema do meu celular? será que eu mesmo consigo resolver? tenho um conhecimento básico de eletronica, mas tenho um pouco de medo de ferrar de vez o telefone. desde já agradeço!

If you know you can fix it, go ahead but its upto you. Maybe the ribbon that connects the display got damaged or sth like that.

Ask at the service partner how expensive it will be. If its more expensive than the X8 rebuy it or buy another phone

Try to pull the contacts and sms files to your PC with ADB. I'm not sure what files stores the mentioned datas, so if someone knows, please write it here.

[Q]Google Now commands issues ( Play Music )

Hello,
I am getting some issues on google now, by example when i say "Play song" or whatever like that the app just search web, it doesn't open google music or play any song, in the most give me a youtube page to the music i asked, the Phone search is setting rightly, another commands like "how tall is xxxxx" , "open facebook", "Set Timer..." its working fine, any ideas?

Well, don't say no commands work, because what I posted works just fine for me everyday, my dude.

Click on the play store icon under your music selection on the left hand side. It will bring up a list of programs that you can open your selection with. Choose play music or whatever 3rd party app you may use. It will remember your selection.

Ótimo poder teclar algum português por estas bandas... Cara, estou com o mesmo problema. Ao que tudo indica, o google now tem comandos regionalizados e, por enquanto ao menos, não temos Play Music no Brasil. Isso impede a execução do programa, ao menos ao que sugerem os posts:

O meu funcionou um tempo, logo que lançaram a função, mas parou já faz um bom tempo.
Tentei mudar a configuração de local com o MoreLocale 2 (disponível na playstore para usuários root), mas nem isso resolveu... Creio que o comando é bloqueado pelo google now quando você está fora de algum país que permita o comando, mesmo que o sistema seja daquele lugar.
Resta aguardar que liberem a função... ou alguém mais inventivo que saiba como superar essa limitação.

Tranlating the lines above (with my terrible brazilian english): Man, I'm having the same problem. Apparently, google now has regionalized commands and, for now at least, we do not Play Music in Brazil. This seems to prevent the execution of the program, as suggested on the posts:

Mine worked for a while, as soon as the functions was launched, but stopped a long time ago.
I tried to cheat the system changing the location setting with MoreLocale 2 (available in playstore for root users), but it didn't solved the problem ... I believe the command is blocked by google now when you are out of a country that allows the command, even if the system is that place.
It seems we can only wait for google permission ... or someone more inventive than me that knows how to overcome this limitation.

This feature, which was very handy use to work. After a long time researching, I've come to the conclusion Google has removed the 'play song' feature or it might be just a U.S. feature

Hey mate, I just want to know if any solve this problem by any chance. Also... what happens if you change the voice recognition to portuguese? I'm in Argentina, if I use it on English, I only get youtube videos. If I do that in Spanish, it does fire up the player, but there's no music to play.
I spent about half of my time in the US working, and there it works both in English and Spanish, and I assume it works in chinese and russian, but I cannot speak none of those languages though.

Are you sure that your d410 has nfc? LG model with nfc have generally "n" in its name. For example d405n.

Eu fiz Root nele e observei que existem arquivos de NFC na pasta System/App e Root/ETC/NFC (Existe um arquivo XML onde tem o NFC marcado como FALSE), após edita-lo e colocar TRUE a função apareceu no menu porém não funciona. Minha dúvida é: "Seria possível habilitar essa função? Tem como saber se existe suporte de Hardware para NFC?"

Não vai funcionar porque o equipamento não tem o hardware necessário para usar NFC. Aparece em ficheiro apenas porque o código é "geral" para os vários equipamentos, uns têm NFC, outros não.

Does the US L90 with auto brightness and LED notification? My Brazilian L90 (D410) doesn't has these features.

The phone does not have an ambient light sensor. This is another HUGE downer for this device. There is some sort of a work around. I have tried it...it works ok.

Question Zenfone 8 Unlock

Hi guys, could anyone help me? When trying to unlock the phone with Asus app, the message appears: "Failed to unlock your device, please try again later. [24802]."
I've tried on android 11 and 12, and it doesn't work.
I already unlocked it once, then I locked it using the command "fastboot oem asus-csc_lk" , after that I can't unlock it anymore.
Is there another way, or some other command that works?

I think that now that the bootloader has been unlocked once, you have to use a fastboot command like 'fastboot oem unlock'. But I'm note sure, you better wait for someone who found a way to do it.

I've had other smartphone brands, and it never took as much trouble to unlock as Asus. I've been having a fingerprint problem for a long time and to adjust I need to perform this unlocking.

You're welcome, so we have to wait for someone who knows how to deal with this issue because I also relocked my bootloader planning to unlock it again in the future... And btw what is your problem with the fingerprint sensor and what do you want to do? I'm having issues too since a few days.

Já postei uma pergunta sobre esse problema mas sem sorte, já tentei quase tudo com o bootloader bloqueado, agora preciso tentar fazer algo com ele desbloqueado.

It's really hard to answer your question as I don't fully understand it, but if you're asking for a "fake gps" app that works with Android 11, I use this free ad-free fake gps app which works fine for me in Android 11 and Android 12.

Of course, you have to enable Developer Options and set the Mock Location App, whose location moved between Android 11 and Android 12; but I assume you're aware of that.

Olá eu uso Fake My Gps com Xposed framework no Android pie 9. Mais atualmente no android 11, 12 não está funcionando.
