Question Xiaomi flash tool - Xiaomi Mi 11

Hi, I have Xiaomi Mi 11 12.5.5.0(RKBEUVF), I would like to flash V13.0.4.0.SKBEUXM because I am not receiving updates on that operator ROM. My question is: can I lock bootloader afetr that or not? Can someone answer for sure? Did someone did it? I've read so many posts with confusing answers. I wolud apriciate answer form someone who did that. Thank you in advance.

If you want to flash a different ROM than the installed one, you must not close the bootloader under any circumstances. This inevitably leads to the brick!

false ! His rom is EUVF and He want to flash a EUXM rom. He must to unlock his bootloader, and he can relock it because it's the same region : EU . Personnaly , i bought my mi 11 with a EUOR rom and flash with a EUXM rom and relock it with no problem.

I actually agree with you. However, I was informed that closing the BL after flashing a different ROM than the one pre-installed leads to a brick. I keep my fingers crossed for pYdzin.

It's true with people who had a chinese mi 11 and lock it with a EU rom and vice versa. The most important thing is the region. If you have a EU mi 11, you Can relock it with all variant EU. EUXM, EUOR, EUVF ....

1. I have flashed 13.0.4.0.SKBEUXM and locked bootloader without any issues, thanks for the advice.
2. I have a copule of questions, did you flash 13.0.1.0 or 13.0.4.0? did you get those new cristilized wallpapers and new widgets? I did not, it looks like I am missing some MIUI 13 new features, so I am wondering if I should flas 13.0.1.0 first and upgrade to 13.0.4.0 thrugh OTA or fastboot update for 13.0.4.0 should include previous updates?

@pYdzin If you are looking new wallpapers, you have to change region for Switzerland. After that, you can find them in themes app. 13.0.4.0 include features from previous update.

But I see with link if you use Global phone you can't use miui china version ?
If I unlock my BL and flash Custom Rom Xiaimi.eu based on China miui version Rom !
They had mistake if I make Ota update of Xiaomi.eu Rom ? No risk lock it and brick it ?
Ps : Yes I understand just don't flash the chinese stable or dev Rom and vise versa !!! With Custom Rom no mistake just if you use miflash don't lock.
Thanks.
You can have every custom rom you want.. for example xiaomieu,it doesnt mean something what kind of source it is. You can use xiaomieu based on china rom with your global version smartphone!
Btw xiaomieu doesnt have ota updates you need to flash manually from twrp every time.

I don't understand why your phone is already branded with this rom. Be patient, whith miui 12.5, you'll be able to uninstall system apps.

Question Flag 12.5 EU rom to global mi 11 ultra

Hi sorry it this has been asked before but I've recently received my mi 11 ultra global version from Vodafone UK. Like the phone but some issues that are making me debate whether to keep it. Touches missing, battery life and sub par camera. Because I'm on the global version I'm on MiUI 12.0.2. I was wondering if anyone knows if I can flash the EU rom onto this to try out 12.5 to see if I want to keep the phone. I highly doubt we'll see a global release for 12.5 before my time to return the device runs out. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks
You need to apply for the bootloader unlock process ( takes around 7 days ) and then you can flash the fastboot xiaomi.eu ROM on it just fine.
Good luck !
Brilliant thanks for the reply mate
So my bootloader is unlocked. I got Chinese model with global flashed. Can i flash EU rom via fastboot itself?

Of course you can especially by fastboot. You can flash EU custom ROM or EEA The only problem is you will have Chinese Bands no matter what ROM you install.

Flash it by twrp, not fastboot. Just in case. It's much safer by twrp. And of course, you'll need to track down a Vodafone ROM to return it if you do but I doubt it after flashing EU. And don't worry about the bands as someone said, you'll not miss out on anything.

I am assuming you mean stock. That would actually be the EEA rom. The Xiaomi.eu rom, which is the China rom. minus Chinese bloat and Google services added in must be flashed using TWRP.

He could flash the earlier one by fastboot
Why would flash a rom from over a month ago? The last fastboot rom was issued 5-13.

AFAIK you should own the UK version, as the UK is no longer a member of the EEA (European Economic Area).
Got my Mi 11 Ultra from Vodafone in Germany... afaik the updates by Vodafone are realy bad - have to wait for updates for 5 months to be on the same stand like the "clean" Europe/Global Roms.

But global ROM is far behind the EEA (EU) and CN (China) roms...
Latest global is 12.0.2.0.RKAMIXM
See:

Thats right, my Mi 11 Ultra has now "MIUI Global 12.0.2 Stabil RKAEUVF" it is the EU Rom with Vodafone branding afaik. Is there a way to flash it on 12.x.x RKAEUXM (Rom without Vodafone branding)?
I've no direct experience, but I suppose you need to unlock the bootloader and use a tool like this:
XiaoMiTool V2 - Modding of Xiaomi devices made easy for everyone
XiaoMiTool V2 is a easy to use tool to install rom on your Xiaomi device. Modding made easy for everyone! Download it for free now!
www.xiaomitool.com
But ask for more information before proceeding.
@Maximowic have you done it? Did you encounter any issues with it? I'm on the same situation as you, wonder if you figured it out.
I have been on EUVF, too and flashed to the custom EU Rom. I would suggest to flash it via fastboot first and then upgrade to the latest version.
hi,
is there any chance to download this version anywhere as a backup to relock the bootloader in the future?
regards
p.s.
am just not sure if with my current rom 12.5.6.0. RKAEUXM stable i would easily relock the bootloader..
my original rom was vodafone uk 12.0.2.0 RKAEUVF
please
I think you can only relock your bootloader with the original rom you had when you unlocked your bootloader or at least of the same branch

Question How can I change global redmi note 12 pro+ (without BL unlock)

Help me please?
How many method is there to change global in xiaomi?
Since your question is not explicit, you cannot change version (Global to EEA or others, etc.) or downgrade without unlocking the bootloader.
To summarize you can only update the installed version.
Now I am using this phone with china version. I bought it from china. But I don't like this version and I don't want to unlock bootloader. so I am finding other methods like hardware method(redmi 8a). But I am not a phone repairman.
Is there any other methods for rubypro? I really want to know.

The price of the motherboard and the labor will cost you relatively expensive and provided you find the part.
Edit:
Anyway you bought a Chinese version with soc Mediatek and:
Few or no development for the Mediatek soc
Impossible to re-lock the bootloader with a rom of a different version than Chinese.

If you install a golbal stock rom on a Chinese device and re-lock the bootloader, the phone is bricked.
You can't do this on a locked bootloader.
Global stock roms work on Chinese device and Xiaomi Eu rom as well.
