A Thought On The Roms We Now Have!

I am quite amazed at how fast we went from having nothing at all in terms of development of ROMS to all of a sudden having a whole series of roms! We now have Stock based and thanks to @eousphoros an AOSP ROM as well :victory: When I first got my Tab S 10.5, I was saddened to see how little development it was getting by it being almost the same as the Tab Pro 10.1. I was almost thinking of returning it. But i'm 100% satisfied and happy because of all the great roms coming out and updates which are being made too! I would like to take this time to thank the people who made this possible. We really appreciate (and I know I speak for everyone when I say this) all the hard work you guys are doing for us. Also, a big thanks to whoever was the first to get all this started .
Thank you!

United Request for some development on V11 Pro

Dear developers,
Vivo v11 pro has awesome hardware. But unfortunately, noone is interested in developing a CUSTOM ROM for it. I do not really understand why ?.
May be many of us V11 Pro users will be ready to raise some funds also, if needed to get it going. But please please please, start working on this device. You guys can't just let such an awesome device DIE. It has so much of potential.
If there is any official contact details available for the top development teams here, please share so that we can contact them. Like Pixel Experience, Lineage etc.
Looking forward to some of three genuine guys take up this job soon.
Thank you.
Probably because the device bootloader cannot be unlocked and Vivo hasn't released the kernel source code

Hello from North Carolina!

Hi everyone! I'm Josh, go by Sewdohe. I'm a web developer, that happens to really enjoy systems programming.
I'm currently in phone limbo, on my second Pixel 3 XL refurb from some Ebay seller....been 2 months of headache and irritating phones.
I've fallen back to my old Moto E (2020 Edition) and I absolutely hate it. It's so slow, I'm in the process of loading Lineage on it with no luck so far. Going back to stock to try again...cause why not?
This has really re-lit the fire that I had back in like, 2016 of how fun flashing phones really is. Tinkering, ehh? I'll for sure be flashing my Pixel 3 when I get all of this straight.
Thanks for the read, whoever read this! Wish me luck. Sim card isn't reading
Welcome to XDA! Always good to have another developer onboard! Enjoy your way around the forums!

Wow, it's crazy looking back at this now, having built my own ROM

Hello everyone!

Hello everyone!
I just discovered this site 2 days ago, and I think the community here is pretty cool! I hadn't before considered going into modding or applying custom ROM, but there's a lot of knowledge here, and I hope to learn a lot . I'm considering a phone overhaul in the nearish future, and I'll look into Lineage OS, but if y'all have any recommendations or insights, let me know!
Unfortunately, I stumbled upon (haha) this website due to phone troubles, so I'll be posting about that soon.
Overall, happy to be here
I'm also new in this community and very glad to a part of it.

Nice! If you don't mind me asking, why did you join / what are you interested in? General interest, custom ROMs, or some other third thing?
After fixing my current issue, I think I'll probably spend most time in "apps & games." There's been a couple things I've been meaning to try, but haven't had occasion to really get into it. We'll see!

Welcome to XDA!

Hello from a beginner

RomFlashingCarlos here.
I flashed my first CM ROM almost 5 years ago in attempt to revive hardware from 2012 that was abandoned by Samsung.
Now I'm back with the same hardware, but with the latest OS running on it.
I am ever thankful for the dev here that made that possible. Looking at you @html6405
I look forward to being here, maybe I could learn a thing or to about being an android dev.
Welcome to XDA and enjoy the forums vast amounts of information!
Cheers
