Hello everyone. I just got new update by France vpn and i realised that camera got huge Disimprovement on night mode...
Fotos getting over iso for no Reason
...
On this foto i got 2528 iso... With lights around.
That means noise and chroma noise are more prominent now as also photo alternations....
Details just got disappeared....
Flares after this extreme iso are more annoying in the eye...
Damn... Are they destroying our camera phone?

Hi
Got my Hd 7 from o2 pay as you go
Am quiet happy with it, but has anyone noticed that the camera is a bit rubbish or is it jjust me
Camera snaps close up are super brilliant. but the moment you try to snap far away subjects its all blurish
Its seems to have a digital zoom which just blows up to picture to distortion
I have noticed that even the zoom function just blurs it up as well
feed back would be appreciated
It's indeed not the best WP7 camera but it's not too rubish also. It should be no more than decent (while to video recording with continued focus is ace) . Can you provide a sample so we can judge ?
There was also a pink-camera isue with an earlier HTC device (can't remember the exact model) and problem was solved with a quick update.

camera on hd7 does suck... tend to bluish every single shot unless u play with scene mode .... thats one of the reason im trying something else .. maybe focus
Hmm.. do you think that it will be possible that they release an update for this?
Not too keen on getting it if the camera is useless.
I have the awesome pink hue issue with mine... and for the other guy... the other phone with the pink problem was the HD2.
anyone know if this is just the software or is the hardware?
ive noticed too that on long distance shots its horrible on keeping focus of the picture. Though i think that maybe because metering is set to center and it cant focus in that much in the distance.
Though your every day snaps are usually ok for me. No problems with tints or anything and i find the video quality to be decent
I haven't had any problems at all with taking photos on my HD7 - no focussing issues, near or far.
Are you guys half-pressing the camera button to focus first, before pressing it the rest of the way to take the photo?
This seems to be the biggest cause of issues, people not realizing it's a two-stage shoot process, just like with digital cameras.
Note to the OP: Metering is actually light metering and has nothing to do with focussing. If you have metering set to centre, the camera will adjust the exposure according to the brightness of the object in the centre of the shot. If metering were set to "average" it would work out the brightness of the whole frame and set the exposure to that. Nowt to do with focus.
Incidentally, don't forget to ensure the lens is free of dust, fingerprints and other crud as that will obviously make your pics look mushy.
nope i always press on the first stage and let it focus and then press
Hi guys,
tonight i tried to take some night photos , and made me feel that i was in 2002... An iphone user was next to me and his photos where so bright an clear and mine where in total darkness... I couldnt beleive the difference...
Is it actually so bad at night? Or i did something wrong with the settings?
Thanks!
not sure about photos, but video in dark is terrible. not just in dark, indoor luminescent scenery are completely black. i tried couple of others camera apps but most of them have got the same results. also find this ridiculous.
The Samsung A40 is known for terrible low light images. If the community figures out how to get Gcam working with night mode (the full fat version and not the gcam go version) then things would improve massively as its software that has helped make some of the biggest improvements rather than hardware in the camera

Hi, I will tell you what I have read that has helped me, hopefully it will help you too.
1) Make sure lenses are clean, I thought mine were but it made a big difference after I cleaned them.
2) In 10x zoom mode and low light, I have to manually zoom out to 16x before it switches to the 10x lense, hopefully it will be fixed in a software update. If you use Night Mode for low light it gives much better pictures.
3) For moon shots, I find it easier to use 30x zoom, tap the rectangular box that appears to the top right to "lock on" and it turns yellow, then tap on the moon to get the "yellow box" to focus. I have read that it makes no difference between 30x and 100x pictures as they are all digital zoom (somebody might know better info on this)
4) For close up/macro shots use the standard wide camera and get close to what you want to photograph, when you get really close you should see a yellow or whie dot appear in the bottom left of the screen, this is the "focus enhancer", tap that to make it yellow to get the best pictures.
Hope this helps you a little more.
Hi. Just a heads up for anyone else coming here. My brand new Ultra camera did this exact thing (couldn't focus beyond 10 x zoom and was too shakey to use at that level). 100% the cause for me was vibrations from my motorbike. I had it in an unpadded mount which had never affected my S10 but a single ride killed my S21 Ultra. Luckily Samsung fixed it under warranty for me.
Hello I bought this phone for its camera at first it was ok , but recently the images from the camera are coming blurry where the sun reflects off white or reflective surfaces I guess . Which makes the screen look horrible when taking pictures also they save with the blurring . I've resest the camera settings tried using open camera app instead and it still does it . Also is 100% of the time but is 99% of the time . Any one else had this issue with this phone or any other phone?
Is it me or is this camera just broke the night site mode is an absolute joke and Motorola should be ashamed to even call it night sight should be night blue , ok it's poor in low light anyway but I've had cheaper budget phones that can shoot better night shots take for example pics below first is using just main shooter normal mode second is night sight , what lense is it using Macro ,

For better night photos use the "Pro" mode in the camera app and adjust the shutter speed (it should be the middle button) depending on how much light you have in the shot. It can go up to 32 meaning the picture will take 32 seconds, so absolutely nothing can move or shake while taking the photo. It's a big compromise however you'll be surprised what kind of photos your phone can take in low light.
Alternatively use GCam, I heard it works well.
