I live in the Philippines. Official after-sales support for ROG-phone devices is little to zero since the phone is not popular in my country.
There are tons of 3rd party batteries around $25 here. They have overall great reviews and it is claimed to be about 90% close to the original battery. How was your experience with 3rd party/OEM batteries?

I just ordered a 3-pack of 1500mAh batteries with a battery charger for like $12 shipped from eBay. Since they are coming from Hong Kong, I have a bit of a wait, but has anybody tried the eBay batteries on their Xperia Play?
I used similar batteries on my Samsung Captivate with no problems other than they seemed to be only slightly less capacity than my original (based on non-scientific gut checks at the end of the day of how much charge I thought I should have.)
In searching before posting this, I saw some nightmares in the HTC forums where they peeled back the label from their batteries and found them rated by another label 500mAh less than what the top label said.
I'll report back either way when they arrive.
Got them in today. I took some pics to show what they look like right out of the pack. Notice that they all have the same S/N. Hmmmm
The charger has a USB port at the bottom and glows red when charging. If it is like the other eBay battery chargers I've seen, it will likely turn a different color when full.
Will report back once I've had a chance to use them.
Good luck with the batteries. I couldn't find the offer with 3 batteries so maybe they took it out in the last month (ebay.com).
If they turn out to be ok it could be a good investment for an emergency. Looking forward to your results.
I picked up the batteries from this seller.
As it turns out, two of the batteries seem to be bad. I sent a note to the seller to see about making it right. I'll update the thread with whatever the outcome turns out to be.
Regardless, the one that is working is doing a great job. I've been using it in place of my original battery, and so far, I can't seem to tell any difference.
Update: I accepted an offer for my Xperia Play, so I won't be following up here. I sold it with the good extra battery and am probably going to get a Samsung next.
I bought a set with 2 batteries and they seem to work fine, just slightly less capacity as the original. I know just charge the batts separately and swap them when I need a new one.
I got this response from the seller:
Dear Customer,
Thank you for shopping with us.
We apologize for the inconvenience. We are now processing replacement for you.
Customer satisfaction is important to us, as a token of courtesy, there is no need for you to return the original item to us.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. If there is anything else we can do to assist you, please feel free to let us know. Thank you.

That was really nice of them. I checked the seller but they won't ship outside of the US, even tho it's coming from Hong Kong D:
There's a chinese company that makes 1800mAh batteries for the X10. They work in the play, and are good quality. All the reviews said they actually offered better battery life, unlike a lot of cheap alternatives. I can't remember the brand name, but they're black with gold writing.

Normally I wouldn't trust third party batteries from eBay, although I did buy an extended battery for my laptop off of Amazon over a year ago (third party) and it stills holds a charge fantastically.
I asked for an extra battery for Christmas. I specified that it needed to be shipped and sold from Amazon but mom didn't pay attention, and I got a 3rd party sellers battery. It may be legit but I've been burned before from Amazon sellers (Amazon made good).
So I think this battery that I received is the VZW one, an EB595675LZ. My current battery is an EB595675LA.
Will I get the same performance from this one? Should I go thru the hassle of returning and getting the right one?

Here in Czech Republic, available is Samsung EB595675LU. It is bulk(not is individual bilster packing) seems to work as good as the one came with the phone. It is selling in local market for around 12 USD.
May be you can give it a try and see how does it perform. Hassle of sending it back and waiting for the other, depends on how long is your current battery performing.
I know a lot of people are anticipating extended batteries for the G4, and although we have a mophie, it's expensive and it's just a charging case. I contacted Zerolemon, and they said that due to the work going into the Note Edge battery, the G4 is being placed in late August for release. If anyone finds or knows of a good extended battery or battery case please leave a comment because I know several people who would want them. Here is a copy and paste of the message.
"Thanks for your interest. We have a plan of Note edge battery case on progress at present. We are trying hard to put it online at the end of August. Pl ease keep an eye on our official website and FB page to get the newest information."
Hyperion should have an extended battery coming soon.

Right now, Mophie has this battery case available but at a high cost. Hyperion lists this 6000mAh model on Amazon, however the images are for the G3 and the Hyperion website lists no such G4 model so please don't buy it as there's a good chance its a fake or something. It's I'd personally rather wait for either proof that Hyperion listing is real, or the signature ZeroLemon battery. On the G4, the life on either one should be absolutely stellar!

The Amazon listing is real it is Hyperion who is the seller right now they are doing preorders . Mophie did the same thing and I sent the case back for a replacement.after testing it only have my 25% extra battery. Called them and they replacing it once they get my old one back. So by Monday I should have new one. Major flaw of case is it is very slippery. Will actually have to add some kind of grip tape so it has a little traction.
BAD ASS NOTE 4
I emailed Anker to enquire on when they might be releasing an extended battery, I also asked about two other products. Here's my email, and their reply:
I have recently bought an LG G4, and I know it's a newly released device, so accessories are limited. I do really like the products I've bought from you in the past, and I was wondering if there has been a decision on whether you will make the following products, and if so, do you have a rough timescale as to when they might be available to purchase.
1. Extended battery for LG G4
2. QI wireless charging pad, that supports the Quick Charge 2.0 standard (I understand that this new standard has also only recently been released, and as far as I can tell, there are no products that exist yet, a gap in the market for you if you're quick!)
3. QI power bank, that at least charges devices wirelessly (ideally with quick charge 2.0 speeds) and that also charges wirelessly, but that would be a bonus feature rather than a necessity.
There are alternative products already available that match my 3rd product in the list, but to be honest I'm not convinced about the reliability of the product, and it'd be lovely to be able to purchase one from yourselves, as I know they are good products.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you!
Lawrence

Thanks for contacting us and showing your support in Anker products.
Please be advised that the below information are from our product manager (the estimated time only though).
1. The Extended battery for LG G4 is expecting to be available at the end of July, 2015.
2. So far, we do not have a QI wireless charging pad that supports the Quick Charge 2.0 standard for LG G4 yet. I have informed our product manager. They will take that into their consideration.
3. Also, we do not have a QI power b a n k at the moment. I have also mentioned that to our product manager.
I believe that with your feedback and support we’ll go on to develop even more market leading products.

Looks like we've got out first extended battery option almost ready for release. That didn't take long!
Would it too heavy?

I don't think so. I think the added bulk makes it easier to hold as well.
I can't ship from Amazon for a replacement battery, mine's shutting off at 30% and B-Logs aren't cutting it anymore
Alibaba is an option but with the classical caveat, cheaper and possibly copies of aftermarket batteries on Amazon
The data on the stickers are identical. But all 4 EZ30 battery replacements come from 4 different companies of Shenzen Shengye (FIST, ifungtech, etc)

Are they the same in Amazon? Or simply not worth the risk?
I have used this on both N6. One is my daily and the other is my spare. These batteries appear to be original with date codes in 2015 and the Motorola emblem in the right place when I compared to the batteries I removed from my phones. The seller ships worldwide.

Can't express my gratitude enough for posting this, I am contacting the seller the now. That should confirmation enough on authenticity and a solution for shipping. I was honestly about to contact a friend in Canada in the hopes of him acting as an intermediary and mailing it to me
Still have the original T800 going strong. Problem is battery is crap, understandably. I replaced it with one I bought from eBay. Looked just like the real Samsung battery, but didn't work like a new battery. Maybe it was pulled out of an unit. Have to charge all the time and it'll fail soon probably.
Anyone found a good reasonably priced battery? There's newpower99 but man they are expensive!
Thanks
I bought one last year for my T800 from the seller below via ebay. I've been happy with it - it basically doubled my battery life - though not quite as good as the original stock battery when I first bought the Tab. I didn't look to see if they still sell them.

I went Here for my T700
Supposedly they are an authorized samsung parts distributor

No, it's not expensive, it's an excellent battery and it costs every euro you pay. I bought that battery for my 8.4 s tab and now my consumptions are incredible, I have doubled the screen hours or more ... Of 10 hours or more in several days of use!

I have used that kind of brand in an old Sony ebook reader. In the end I checked the serial number of the battery provided and it was a rebranded Cameron Sino (a honkong based company) battery.
As far as I could Google, CS specializes in replacement batteries for devices where the vendors do not provide any for end users. Not sure how good they are in the long term.
They say they have all the necessary brandings, but as we know the CE logo is just a sheet of paper nowdays and how far can you trust chinese companies with what they say about security brandings.
I always have a bad feeling by using third party batteries because I know about the fire risks li ion batteries can cause if they are badly manufactured (who knows where the cells for the CS batteries come from). CS probably does not produce their own cells, but also just puts cells together from who knows where. But take this with a grain of salt, I could be wrong here. Also do not trust vendors who say they sell original batteries. I once bought overpriced Apple replacement batteries for a 2009 laptop, in the end I ended up with the usual no name trash sold for this machine but twice the price.
I´d say it is overdue that we get laws to force the OEMs to provide original replacement batteries for every device sold. They also might stop doing stupid things luke gluing battery cells to the cases that way or stop making battery replacements as hard as possible. We need a right to repair forced by law.

I agree, and it's not even repairing ! Only a right to do basic maintenance.
