Forced software update bricked the phone, need help with Odin3 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions & Answers

My wife's S8 forced an Android update, but before completing successfully, it went into a boot loop. I tried wiping the cache and factory resetting the device, but neither worked. It is still in a boot loop. I'm not able to boot in safe mode.
I installed the Samsung Android USB Driver for Windows v.1.7.50, installed Odin3 v3.14.4, and downloaded the firmware for the phone. I connected the phone to the computer using a Samsung branded USB cable, entered Download mode, and Odin3 recognized the phone. I loaded the BL + AP + CP + CSC and clicked Start. So far it has failed every time. It either says FAIL! (DeviceInfo) or FAIL! (Auth). I tried various firmwares for the phone, as well as Prince's Odin v.3.12, but get the same result.
Only the standard check boxes were checked (Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time).
Is there anything that can be done to salvage the phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update: After much tinkering, I was able to successfully write just the bootloader onto the phone. Then afterwards, I tried writing the BL + AP + CP + CSC. It made it half way (to system.img.ext4 __XmitData_Write) and then failed. Then the download mode screen said I needed to use the Emergency recovery function of the Smart Switch PC software. I was then able to rewrite just the bootloader software again, but I still can't figure out why the write operation failed when I tried writing everything. Any ideas?

[Q] Flashing Revolution firmware in Emergency Mode

Hi all,
My Revo stuck at boot looping same as many nice guys here. My phone is no root, no cwm. I've just changed some cdma settings for NAM & PRL by cdmaworkshop then reboot few times (by reset option in cdmaworkshop). And the last time, I disconnected it from cdmaworkshop and reboot by normal way so it stuck at boot looping with vibration. The only option I can get in is emergency mode for flashing firmware (VOLUME UP + POWER). I google in few hours and found out that there is no option for emergency mode flashing of LG Revolution up to now. Could anybody give me a hand for this situation. So much thanks in advance.
Here is my LG screen now:

I was in the same position as you but was able to fix it
You want to follow this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1211295
Follow all the instructions but instead of using the drivers from the thread, use these:
http://s3.amazonaws.com/lgforum.com...inal/LG VZW_United_WHQL_v2.1.1.exe?1314733206
When you are in Emergency Mode, LGNPST will detect your phone as Unknown, this is ok. Just load the .dll from the thread and in my experience, it wanted to use Phonebook Recovery or something, so it would only let you load, .csv files. Write *.* in the file name, and you should be able to see all files, and click on your .tot firmware file. This took me around 3 tries, but it finally let me flash it and then the phone was back to normal
LG Revolution Flashing VS910 ERROR
The exact same thing happened to me. But after i fallow your steps exactly i get this ERROR - "ERROR: unable to load [LGNPST]_utility.dll]component path = Version = HR = 0x80040154
& another
"com4_unknown process: undefine

any help would be awesome !!! i hope my phone isnt bricked

Weird soft brick after upgrading to KJ3

So i upgraded my phone to KJ3 the first time went fine and everything was perfect...
Then i flashed Circle battery theme from I9000 because i didn't find any for Captivate then i reboot the system but the phone kept restarting on AT&T sign and then galaxy s sign and that's it so i entered to Download mod and tried to upgrade it again like the first time (KJ3 Odin one click) then all of sudden it gave me "fail" and every time i tried to go to Download mod there is non... like the image below
I tried holding + - volume buttons and plug USB = Nothing (Image below)
I tried holding + - volume buttons and power = Nothing (Image below)

Where i live i can't find any JIG USB so it's not a solution for me

that probably is download mode
I am not sure, if this will help you as I cannot see your attached image (blocked at work)....
But if you cannot get into DL mode..but as you are saying its wierd, so I assume it colorful phone and colorful desktop computer? with a line " try using recovery mode"
than just plug your phone to your computer and ODIN will detect it...Happened to me..and I went back to Jf6....

you are still in download mode, so connect to Odin3 and flash correct ROM package or download a rescue package from My Android Collections
Problem:- Odin gets Stuck on <ID:0/008> Set PIT file. or <ID:0/003> SetupConnection.. or <ID:0/007> Removed!
Note:
When using Odin to Flash, Open task manager and close these : Kies.exe , KiesTrayAgent.exe, and KiesPDLR.exe
IF your downloaded File (.tar, .zip, .md5 .rar ) is corrupted, Odin could get stuck too, so download from another source, if it happens repeatedly
But First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card....Do remember to backup your contacts, data, images etc and also your EFS folder before flashing a ROM and make sure you have more than 50% battery charge before you attempt any sort of flashing.
Yeah follow the above steps and u are good to go
If my post helped, don't mind hitting THANKS

Need help with my Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001

Ok, so to begin with information that this is my old phone so I use it for fun.
Earlier I installed Android 4.4.2 on him, overclocked him and everything was fine (except low RAM and little heat problem xD).
Yesterday I wanted to install Android 5.0 and I copied files, went to recovery mode, wiped data, then install ROM and everything. Then I turned on phone for first time after installing, and phone pops this

I suppose I should have rebooted phone but I clicked Reset phone. After that phone rebooted himself and after cyanogenmod and devconnection logo, TWRP logo start flashing. And every time I tru to turn phone on booting stops on TWRP logo and it start flashing.
I turned it off again, and tried to go to recovery mode but unsuccessfull, tried it couple more time same result. Then I tried to go to download mode and I was successfull.
So I went to computer, download Odin (few versions just in case), downloaded TWRP and CWM recoveries for my phone. I opened Odin, connected phone in download mode (Added! poped in Odin) and tried to flash TWRP on my phone. Then Odin was stuck on "setup connection", older versions of Odin aswell. Then I changed ports, versions and even computers (tried even on laptop) - same effect.
So my question is can you help me do factory reset or how to flash new recovery?
Any suggestion is welcome.
