Newcomer here, greetings from Indonesia. I'm here because I need help with my Z3 (I already posted it). And that phone is probably going to the first time I flashed something to my phone, if there's a solution for it, that is. Been knowing this forum (and sometimes pay a visit when I have problem with my devices) since 2016, back when I need help with my Galaxy Tab 3 Lite and also back when my cousin really into custom rom (doesn't do it that much nowadays tho)

This is my first post on here, yay!
I've been reading XDA a lot in the last 2 years, but never registered and wrote a post. Shame on me!
As most people here, I have a problem. I own this cellphone and recently it hanged on update. I've read here that both AT&T, Samsung and Windows haven't released the stock ROM so I went searching for it on Internet. Came across this site - samsung-file.com, I cannot post a link because of the XDA rules, and wanted to ask you guys about the possible stock ROM.
What do you guys think of it? Might it be the official stock ROM for this model? :fingers-crossed:
If so, it would be great to somehow push/flash it to device. (WP7 Downloader for I937?)
I tried few version of WP7 Downloader and none detected my Samsung Focus S. Probably because these Downloaders were made for certain models?
Anyway, I'm in a great need to restore my cellphone to working condition and I hold my faith in this possible ROM as it seems it is my last hope to get it up and running. Other solution is to send the device for repair... No one wants that...

Well what can I tell you the last thing I did with the Samsung Focus S, is take it off from Demo mode. Because mine was a demo phone but now I am using it again. I had bought a Nokia Lumia 1020, but just today the screen shattered after many numerous drops on pavement, gravel, tile and flying of my car once, today it broke just hitting a wooden floor. Go figure. Well so I am back to my Samsung Focus S. I had tried many times looking for a ROM, but it was difficult couldn't find one, I did have many roms for my original Samsung Focus. If you want send me the link to my email [email protected] I can look at it if you want me to. It might help both of us. Right now I am not going to rush into buying a new phone, I've been hearing that the Nokia Lumia 1030 or should I say Microsoft Lumia 1030. I'll just wait and see what happens. on the mean time I'll be playing with my Focus S. One thing I do recommend you is switching to a windows phone 8 but if you can wait, for a Windows phone 10 which I'll be waiting, Even though they announced all windows phone 8 will be upgrading to Windows 10, But I'll wait until everything becomes more concrete, but on a side note, Microsoft stop supporting Windows Phone 7.8 so no apps are being developed, just something to think about. Hope to hear from you.

I own a Galaxy N 7000 purchased 3 years ago. I installed Jelly Bean with your help. The phone gives me satisfaction during one year,but in France where I live 3 month/year,I lost the signal few times, so I worked with a Xiaomi Redmi Note...
Now,I'm in Canada and want give the N7000 to my girlfriend because she owns a old Samsung Galaxy Fascinate.
But before give it to her, I think it is better to give the phone with the best 'features', so I need suggestion(s) to drive me to the best operation system ( ROM ect).
I'm not exactly a newbe but far, far away to a specialist . If you said to me where I must go to download the stock,I,ll try to install it for sure and I'm not afraid asking for help. I know the guys here helps kindly the mens who ask for advice in a civilised way...

I am a musician from Germany, have been all Sailfish for years. That phone broke just months, before I'll get my new one, so I bought a used galaxy s8. For the first time I was on a branded phone, before the Sailfish device it were Nokia devices (N8 with Symbian and Lumina 1020 on WP).
Horrified, how many things Google asked me about and Samsung and so on, I trie to find a solution for this device. It will be my sons first own smartphone, so I want to prepare it to be reasonable "degoogled". On the other hand, he mostly likes camera-features, so I'll stick to modified stock-rom.
This is a worthwhile learning experience for me, because next I'll get a PlanetComputers Astro. Wich is a dual boot device with nice keyboard wich will mostly run on Android. So I hope to get used to the Android world before my next phone comes.
So I'll be not much of help, but I am great in asking stupid questions...

I'd like to help xda, because It means that i have much more acknowledgements than really i have.
After years i read xda, i make account because on 26 June 2021 i left my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (SM-N950F) on charge and the morning i find It in loop but don't start. I think that automatic system update generated the problem. Note 8 wasn't rooted
I try to repair, but nothing, Italy Samsung assistance before tell me "Deep reset" but i havent no backup, After the tell me that can't do this because i received It like a present bought in Emirates!!!
I send note 8 , by my friend, in Emirates hoping that good assistance repair without Deep reset, i'd do Better make xda account before, so they Deep reset my phone.
So i decided to root my phone with magisk, and It work fine, i make ext2 partition where i linked many app and my note 8 Is very light and now work very well.
Now my only problem Is xposed.
I'm on holiday From work by monday , and i worked on my note 8, but the only thing that i can't find Is how make xposed or edxpose.

Hey guys. I'm from Brazil (so don't be surprised if some sentences are strange, I'm using google translator), I have a Redmi 9A, which is already giving me a headache because it's so slow!
The first thing I thought of doing was buying a new cell phone (simple, isn't it?), but due to budgetary issues (my daughter is 3 months old, so, you know, you know, it wears out and I'll spend a lot more!) I thought if I could do as I did years ago with my motorola C650...customize the phone with some ROM (or kernel, as I think it's called now) lighter, without the factory apps, which I can't uninstall to free up memory and help with its performance .
So that's it, I would like to know if there is any and what it would be, a very 'clean' rom/kernel, with basically just the phone application (dialing), so I can choose and install all the other apps that I will use on the smartphone , being able to uninstall or replace them whenever you want/need.
