Hi Team, strange one.
I have successfully rooted my CH phone to EU, disabled bootlock, factory reset the phone, but now I am unable to install the following apps:

Currently using System Launcher for phone and messages (which is using Googles Phone & messages app), but would prefer the OP Launcher.
No idea why Notepad Plus wont install.
I tried installing via adb command prompt - it says success but still nothing on the phone...
Any ideas?
what is your os version?
Try a fresh install from Playstore. Using the old files from an old or other system will lead you sometimes in trouble like described.

I'm on "clean" EU ROM and those apps are failing to install for me as well, straight from the Play Store, actually.
I don't think that's related to you flashing the EU ROM on rour device.

Hey Guys,
I rooted my Note5 (N920R4) a few months ago with ease. After installing an unofficial Xposed Framework, my Handwriting recognition keeps force closing.
Before installing the Unofficial Xposed framework I did a back up.. But when restoring that back up.. I am still receiving the same error message.
I even attempted doing a factory reset... still no dice..
Any Advice??:crying:
Just in case further explanation is needed..

So my uncle bought a Xiaomi Mi 3 in Indonesia a few years ago, and he used it for about two years. Recently, he bought a Redmi Note 3 Pro to replace it, and I helped him factory reset from the recovery menu. He took the device home, and is now saying that theres NO internet apps at all: no Google Search, no Mi Browser, no Chrome. And the search widget doesnt work, and neither does the Google Settings app, which is about the only google app, as the Play Store and the rest are missing. What's happened?

factory resetting the miui v5 global rom via recovery deletes all the google related apps.
Download Google Installer App to install all google apps including playstore. Follow the below link to get the "Google Installer App" with the instructions to use it.

Note: your uncle is using miui v5 which is very old version.

Oh ok, thanks. And P.s. he uses MIUI 5 because before resetting, he had no storage space to install MIUI 7.

I'm currently using the weekly-updated MIUI 9 developer rom from en.miui, though I haven't updated it for months, and I'm still on 7.10.6 as shown in the settings page.
I've tried to update to the latest weekly which is miui_MIMAX2Global_8.2.8_45df73749c_7.1.zip, though I keep failing.
The following are things I tried:
1. Directly flashing the zip through TWRP
2. Wiping first then flashing the zip
Though both ways get my phone stuck at boot where it shows the "M" of MIUI and "Unlocked" at the bottom.
Can anyone kindly point out my mistakes? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question or if I'm doing something dumb
have u tried updating the zip via the integrated system updater in rom settings?

Yes, though it also doesn't seem to be working. Here's a screenshot of what is shown after clicking "choose update package".

hm...did you clean up system apps and accidentally deleted the app used to pick an update package?
another option would be to flash via fastboot, but ull need the fastboot specific rom package for that. also available on miui rom website.

Galaxy S21 Ultra5G, latest Ketan ROM, OneUI 5.0, android 13, had this issue on previous versions as well though.
Hey everyone, here are the symptoms
1) Can't place any files in any folders when phone open on windows, I'm able only to place files in the root here, everything else is not accessible
2) Some installs from the play store work (VLC as an example) but others fail every time
3) All downloads in Chrome (on phone) fail
4) Theres a suggestion of being able to change downloads location but I can't actually do anything

Im rooted, running the newest ROM from Ketan. I have TWRP recovery, everything works fine except somehow I can't access downloads.
This persisted through ROM upgrade or maybe even got worse, I'm not sure, I think in the past I was able to place files in folders but not anymore.
Once I get apks in the root directory I can then find and install them with the Samsung file manager finding new .apks
So this is really frustrating, not being able to place any data on the phone. I've got not idea why either, does anyone have any idea why these symptoms would be presenting themselves?

This didn't help unfortunately.
Another thing to note is that when trying to create a new folder on my PC in any of the folders on the internal storage I get an error "The new folder could not be created in this location. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected". The device seems to be working fine and it has not been disconnected.
I started to get this error message after flashing the boot partition. All connections stopped working. I reflashed with original boot partition, which results in wifi working again, but bluetooth is dtill refusing to work. Do I factory reset? I have a file that is important but wont come off because it keeps freezing during transfer process
Search for 'Reset options' and reset wifi/mobile/bluetooth, see if that does the trick.

I've also done that. The phone I tried to root is a Z3551S (came from QLink Wireless, running android 9 and has a ****ton of bloat), which doesn't have ramdisk, or a separate VBMeta partition. Also, the images are from some other source. And when I flashed with the rooted partition, Magisk showed the phone was rooted, and I could view files I couldn't view before, but I couldn't uninstall apps with another root application, so I don't think it was fully rooted. I'm also beginning to think that I may need to flash all of the files, because they might not be the same.

Can't do that either. I tried before flashing the before-modified boot image, but I don't think the phone was properly rooted
Here is the message that I get. Clicking `ok` just takes me to settings

An update: the wifi DOES NOT turn on, and SDCards are not being mounted either. Ima try flashing the boot.img to boot instead of boot_verified.img to boot
