i have a galaxy sl and after flashed with XXKP9, i face auto restart problem and it occur every 5 minutes and then i flash it with XXKPH, the problem still the same...can anyone help me?
after flashed, i install go launcher ex ,would it be the problem?
or i shud flash it back to the original rom? how to do so?
1. did you follow the flashing guides to the letter?
2. you just flashed a firmware so you should know how to flash back to a FROYO stockrom, just download one and follow the guides...
3. "posting as much info as you can" is your friend (how did you flash?, what EXACTLY did you do?, did you do a factory reset before flashing? did you get an error message when flashing etc etc)
4. go launcher should not be a problem, i use it and works like a charm
5. a LOT of people flashed KPE/KPH here and almost none had issues, so im sure you made a mistake somewhere

EDIT: just saw you also posted in the other thread
Follow the guide under my signature. That should help, Also please avoid making new topics that doesn't relate to the [DEV] section.
sorry for the late reply..
i follow exactly your guide while flashing my galaxy sl from step 1 to step 18.
i dint factory reset before i flash but factory reset after i flashed.
after that, i flash it again for CWM "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15681160&postcount=1"
it works great within 7 or 8 hours after i flashed... but after tat it started to force restart on its own every few minutes ...

if you are sure you did it all right, since rest of us dont have that problem it might be hardware.
I faced this problem and Service Center said that my memory chip was damaged. Should you come to Service Center for checking...
hi guys,
i have been following this thread for the past few weeks since i bought a second hand galaxy sl..i never thought that i will be encountering this kinds of problems with samsung..anyway to cut the long story short, ever since i bought this i was having a problem with a kernel panic mode error...then updated it into a GB 2.3.5 then later encountered an auto restart error and a boot loop error...after several tries of flashing different kinds of firmware none of those has solved the problem...i later came to think that the problem came from a faulty motherboard...i was helpless and i had no choice but to just bite my nails since my phone no longer has any warranty and replacing the motherboard is so expensive...then yesterday when i was going through with different forums about android..i found out that galaxy ace users are facing the same problems as well...then finally i found a solution to stop this unwanted restarts to occur...i downloaded the app LoadMonitor and WIFI Keep Alive.
For LoadMonitor you must make sure that these settings are applied.
-Add Notification
-Auto start
-Set the update interval to your preferred interval
-Wake lock
For WIFI Keep Alive
-Set your WiFi Policy to "Always On"
- Under "Advanced Options"
- Select "Enable Workaround 2"
- Enable Debug Logs
The downside for installing this apps is a increased battery consumption..so far from what i have observed I can use the phone for 6 hours straight without getting any auto-restart problems. Hopefully this will be a permanent solution while I save up to buy an iPhone..I will never buy any samsung phone again.
hello all!now before u all bombard me with links that already contain such questions, leme tell i have read ALL those threads and tried all those methods but nothing worked.here's my prob:
i hav samsung galaxy S i9000 running gingerbread 2.3.3....my friend recommended me to root it and i only followed the steps given here http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...2-3-gingerbread/comment-page-1/#comment-59272
the root was successful however my auto rotate feature has stopped working completely since the root.
1)YES i have pulled down the top bar and checked whether auto rotate feature is on!
2)i checkd th horizontal calibration thing in settings>display>horizontal calibration......the blue ball stays in th center and detects no movement.
3)next thing i checked the accelerometer and magnetic sensor by dialing *#0*# and again no movement is detected.
4)a number of forums here suggest using a file explorer and deleting this .cfg file in data/system or system/bin ....iv tried busybox, root explorer and a few other programs to access superuser,i did not find any cfg file by the name of yamaha......however there was one .cfg file in data/system iv read these threads too :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=816131
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=911788
5)so i tried pretty much everything possbile to avoid having to reset my phone and lose everything.at last, i gav up n did the factory reset........and GUESS WHAT?the auto rotate is STILL not working!!
please please PLEASE help me guys.this cant b a hardware problem bcz it occurred right after i did th root.and if possible suggest a solution that retains the originality of my phone.i dont wna root it again and take other sch risks.i like my phone as it was brand new.
P.S does doin factory reset unroot my phone or is it still rooted?? :S
Just flash latest JVQ or JVR with odin and a kernel e.g. Talon or speedmod or semaphore or galaxian
also rooting is as easy as installing superuser from market
would u please guide me how to do that?would that unroot my phone?because thats what i prefer.....
Hello everyone
I have HTC Incredible S no have root no install any ROMs
Original htc firmware: 2.30.415.1_Radio_20 .2808.30.085AU_3805.06.03.03_M
After a few minutes of lock-screen>> the phone does not return to work again (wake up)???
Must be removed the battery and switch on again
I did some solutions:
-Remove SIM Card >> Failed
-Remove SD card >> Failed
-Restore factory settings >> Failed
-Change the battery >> Failed
-Finally, re install Firmware :
RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_HTC_ARA_2.30.415.1_Radio_20 .2808.30.085AU_3805.06.03.03_M_release_199399_sign ed.exe
But the problem still exists
Either it's a bug in the ROM or your phone is faulty and you should get it replaced. If there's any way for you to try a different stock ROM (assuming you don't want to root it) then I suggest you do that before sending it off to get the fault fixed.
Did you change the processor clock values? Too low min can cause this problem.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S
If everything is stock and you havn't voided your warranty take it in to be replaced.

Thank you
I expect that the problem is not from the software because i re install the original RUU ROM
The big problem is that the warranty dos not swap the phone

No how can I do that i did not setup any ROM
To change CPU clock need to root your device. Go to the DEV topic and search for it. It takes no more than 10 minutes and You're done.
Hi everybody
I'm really not lazy men, I check almost all posts here on the best forum in the world xda. I face this problem before 2 days, I unlock my phone with Galaxy_Ace_Unlock and root it, everything was worked perfect and suddenly it lose mobile signal. I check phone locking and it was locked again.
It wasn't main problem , then I read on this forum that this aplication is not safe and I uninstall it, after that I rebote my phone and got strange problem. I can't boot my phone I only get samsung boot screen 1 sec and it keeps restarting every sec. When I charge my phone via charger I don't see anything just screen is blanking.
More one thing, when I deleted app galaxy ace unlock I deleted from sd card root file that I use to root my phone.
I need help I try flashing it with odin 4.38 and no success, I can enter download mode, everything pass perfect and I got message PASS but phone can't boot, when it's finishing with odin on last step phone restart it self and keep blanking. This is very anoying problem, please help me if you can.
I use swisscom galaxy mini s5570 and I don't know how to solve this.
I try many different stock rooms but no success, always when I finish with odin it's successfull but I can't boot, I can't access recovery mode because phone is blinking all the time.
I know that this forum is most powerfull and tha we have the best experts, better than android developers that have, and I'm sure that you can help me in some way.
More once, I can enter download mode and flash with odin but I can' boot.
Sorry for my bad english I'm from Bosnia and my first language is Bosnian
Thanks, Reuf
If you can enter download mode, ODIN will most probably work. I think you have gone wrong while working with ODIN. Follow these instructions carefully and double check whether the correct files are selected for each category.
If you still have the problem try flashing a custom recovery and a custom ROM.
Or, the other most probable thing is some hardware error, the only thing to do then is to go to a Samsung center, and act dumb (like you do not know anything about rooting) and if you warranty is not void, they might get it right for you..

I can't go to the Samsung center because I bought phone from my friend. It was a new phone I got it in the box but he bought it in Swiss. I will try some other ROM but really I try many of them.
I think my phone is lost

But even in Swiss they have warranty agreements and receipts so if it is new you should have such purchasing receipts - otherwise your friend pulled you over the barrel.
Anyway, maybe you tried a ROM w/o boot-image to prevent from bootloops.
Maybe you should try the 2.3.5 version coming from samsung:
